"This Turkish-owned corner store carries a fun array of fancier-than-average nibbles that would make for a great cocktail party. Small artisanal brands share the shelves with less familiar international brands. In addition to fresh fruit and vegetables, they have a good selection of olive oils, chocolates, and charcuterie as well as some more specialty items like fresh baklava, local Beecher’s cheese and bread deliveries from Amy’s and Pain D’avignon." - Diane Shaw

To be honest, while small, the quality of everything they have is better than anything in the neighborhood - including organic supermarket on 84th. Practically any category of food and their choices equal the better stores in Manhattan like Fairway. Only missing some Balthazar bread...

Google
I love this place to get vegetables, organic fruits, and whole wheat rolls. The prices can be high on some items. Overall it's great store. There is a sweet cashier who works there in evenings and always pleasant. Has unique items there too!

I moved out of JH recently and what I miss the most are the coffee beans at Lemon Farm! They have the best fresh coffee beans, well priced & will grind to accommodate any coffee maker. They also have a great selection of bread, olive oil & cheese.

Google
This store offers some items not found close by. However, yesterday I had my second experience of purchasing an item only to discover at home, it was not edible. I was inconvenienced at having to return to the store only to be treated like I was a liar, same as the first time, sadly by the owner. The employees are always very polite and nice. I took the loss of 5.49 and decided to never put myself through that treatment again. Especially when there's so many other choices here in Jackson heights.

Google
Great selection in a small space. Unlike a lot of places that sell higher end grocery items, the staples aren't overpriced. Many items are less expensive than the bigger mainstream grocery stores nearby. Very friendly staff, lots of hard-to-find items, good prices.

This place has really taken a nosedive under the new owners. I bought bad blueberries there too many times to count and, making matters worse, my complaints fell on deaf ears. I would might have gotten over the rotted fruit problem if they handled it like a real neighborhood corner store that cares about their customers. But these owners are not our neighbors so they don’t care if they’re nasty. And unlike the old owners, who had the same woman working the register for years, these people can’t seem to keep anyone behind the counter for more than a week at a time. It’s dizzying.

CHECK YOUR BILLS BEFORE LEAVING! THEY GIVE COUNTERFEIT BILLS! Today, I went to buy some groceries there and only brought with me a $50 bill. After I finished my purchase, I walked a few blocks and as I was putting my change away noticed the counterfeit $20 they gave me. I returned to Lemon Farm, I spoke with the same cashier and they did not believe me. They claim that I went out and got a fake $20 as if I could be so bothered to do so. They said there is no way that they could have given me that bill and I could have gotten it from a different place or it was a bill I already had. Note, I only have the $50 bill with me and no other additional bills! They called me a liar and they recognize that I am a frequent shopper, but refuse to give me a legitimate bill or admit that they made a mistake. If you don't want to be called a liar or be given counterfeit bill, I high suggest not purchasing your groceries here.

This was my favorite store in JH. The one star is for the rude lady behind the counter. I wanted to buy a ciabatta bread, went to pay and she told me that it was $4.99, I said the price tag is $4.69 . She rudely said “but it’s $4.99, do you want it? I said you should honor the price on the bread! Then she said “It’s $4.99, do you want or not”! No apology! Left with no bread!

Yelp
Just shopped outside of Lemon Farm where the fruits and nuts were on display. Mom was in the mood for some Walnuts and she got a pound of them. The other items we got were Blackberries which must be in season. Blackberries sold everywhere at all grocery stores too. Here they were 2 for $3 bucks. The papayas also looked great and we got one of those as well. Did not get to go through inside of the store. Lots of items inside the store as well. Noticed a display case selling ice cream right by cash register. Only one staff member at the cash register checking patrons out. Will be back again to provide further updates. Happy food shopping.

Yelp
This place was absolutely beautiful and the food there was delicous. I advise that you should come here all the time as they restock on food everyday and the prices are fair. The prices are based on weight so you're not over paying for some measly watermelons. Also everything is organic so you don't have to worry about mold or other deasesis .

S R.

Yelp
Outside of some of the overstock in the front most of the produce is not organic, which is fine it's just not the vibe of the rest of their products so it seems strange. They do have some nice things but the cashier gave me the wrong change assuming it was ok, said she'd make it up next time, and then ignored me the next time I came before laughing at me.

Laura H.

Yelp
Love this place! It's quite small but they have a great selection of products and the produce is generally excellent. The ladies who work here are also very nice and friendly. Really glad to have this place in the neighborhood.

Xy L.

Yelp
They need to fix protruding wires sticking out of their fridges shelves, so when customers go to retrieve items, they cut themselves. I had already cut my hand on it. It's only a matter of time before someone's artery or wrist accidentally gets cut open. There's no excuse for their continued usage, especially in consumer settings when anyone's hand or a child's arm or wrist can easily become lacerated. This is unacceptable.

Yelp
This is review #500, and I'm so pleased to review my favorite produce market in the neighborhood! I'm tired of the moldy, funky onions they sell at Food Dynasty, and as much as I dig Growing Farm, their onions aren't much better. You wanna get some good onions in the neighborhood? Lemon Farm is where to go! In the last few weeks, I've done some comparison shopping, and for produce, Lemon Farm has better prices than Food Dynasty or Foodtown. Even when green beans are out of season and a little more expensive, they're cheaper here than they are elsewhere. The cilantro here tastes better too (less washing required because it's not caked in dirt, and with a fresher taste). What I would get elsewhere would be the dairy products -- they don't have classic supermarket specials on milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs, etc. But if you live in Jackson Heights, you're spoiled for choice anyway. Since ending my FoodBox NYC participation, Lemon Farm has filled in the blanks. So glad this market is in my neighborhood!

Yelp
I've only visited this place twice so far, and I really like it. Their fruits and veggies are well priced and everything else, well, in the city it's more than Long Island! Generally - their produce is pretty fresh. Staff is friendly and helpful. Example: I was in search of cinnamon and as the lady was ringing up my order, I stepped away and followed the guy to the back area where the cinnamon was hiding. When I came back, she gave me my total, and I didn't get jipped! What a nice feeling to know I can trust the people working there. I like that it's not a chain, and I intend to go back there as needed for miscellaneous grocery shopping. Happy eats!

Yelp
Lemon Farm is a good place to buy specialty items that you can't find at the supermarket or elsewhere. They have fruit and other things, but the selection of jarred items and sauces tops most supermarket selections for sure. The break they have in the back is also a nice touch because its also nice things you can't find in lets say "Foodtown".. Brioche rolls and whole loaves of artisan bread is really nice sometimes. Is it more expensive? Yes. But good things are not cheap that is for sure. I also got introduced to one of my favorite French Lemonade Soda here "Lorina". Good Stuff. We come here regularly to get those special things we can't get elsewhere. I see they sell a lot of coffee too

William P.

Yelp
This is a nice alternative to the larger grocery chains in my neighborhood. Whats really good about it is they have organic products, and in general higher quality items you won't get at a Met supermarket for example. The produce is a little better too and its always good to have options especially when it comes to food, right? Today I saw something there I had never come across, Nuts soaked in honey, Like a spread. They had several brands, and though I didn't purchase it because it was expensive, I'll eventually break and get it. I may have missed this product at the regular supermarket all my life, I couldn't tell you of course, but it looks amazing. I posted a picture for you to get an idea of what I'm talking about. Glad to have this place is in near by.

Irma B.

Yelp
I just came back from there. I'm very upset. I live a block away and come here all the time. I was just there with my husband and SIL to buy some items. And I notice one of the workers side-eyeing me as he's pretending to study a candy bar label. I notice but think nothing of it. Until he notices me looking and goes to the other end of the store... and I see him side eyeing me again like I'm behaving suspiciously and about to steal something. I'm beyond insulted. I don't want to give my reasoning for this behavior because I give people the benefit of the doubt. But don't treat regular customers like they're stealing from you.

Jessica P.

Yelp
I really like this store! They have a good selection of fruits and vegetables and stuff like Kewpie mayo and Maille mustard. The reason that I didn't give them five stars is that you don't get an itemized receipt.

Nina N.

Yelp
One of the best things about Jackson Heights is a tiny, jam-packed specialty foods store. There no real door, just some old school hanging plastic butcher's panels. There's produce in crates outside as well as items indoors. For whatever reason, produce bought here always seems to taste better and hold up longer than from other places. I cook and bake a fantastic amount. Not just your standard brownies and pot roasts but more like hijack my stovetop to make a wok burner and spend hours caressing and folding buttery sheets to make my own croissant. My only gripe is that they mostly carry Greek olive oils. I'd love to see some specialty Italian and Californian olive oils added- even if it does end up costing a pretty penny. They also have a surprising amount of cheeses and tons of different varieties. Also great amount of cured meats and sausages. You can find good, European style butter here as well as ridiculously large tubs of Nutella. They have various types of roasted coffee here- which is proudly displayed behind the register. If you are looking for a specific European speciality ingredient- you can probably find it here!

Benjamin C.

Yelp
Lemon Farm is my go-to place for produce and bread and other specialty items. Thankfully the new owners haven't changed a thing. The staff is always friendly and even at "rush hour" you can pop in and out pretty quickly. A gem of a shop!

Jesenia U.

Yelp
A variety of vegan options lower prices I was so happy to know that such a small place has so much items to chose from I left happy and satisfied

Laura E.

Yelp
So far so good. They've been open for a few weeks and the produce still looks fresh and reasonably priced. The special part about this store, though, is all the European specialty items like the selection of tomato sauces and olives. They also carry fresh baby arugula, panko bread crumbs and a full range of nuts. I wish they would add a nice selection of fresh bread, like, say, from Cannelle Patisserie. Also some higher end yogurt like Ronnybrook Farm would be great.

Rob P.

Yelp
Amazing store. Wonderful delicacies. Love the pasta And European cheese and meats. Has everything u need practically. Fair pricing.

Andy S.

Yelp
Not your average Jackson Heights corner grocery store. This place looks pretty legit. I'm not a big fruit guy, but everytime I walk by this place, I feel like motorboating the watermelons, plums, peaches or whatever other delicious looking fruit is out front. They all look so good. There's also a good selection of nuts and dried fruits in the back. There's also a lot of Turkish and European products like bread, olive oil and sauces that you don't normally find corner stores in this area. My only complaint is the following: the few times I've bought milk here, it has gone bad well before the expiration date on the container. I'm not sure what the issue is, but now I just have to keep buying milk at the key food down the block.

Sandra Lorena V.

Yelp
Almost every time I walk by this place from the train I check on their blackberries (I am an addict) & they always have specials on it. Also on blueberries and raspberries. I love that they carry different flavors of products such as basil and pesto hummus or pico de gallo tortilla chips. They sell pretty healthy things here, well that can be healthy depending how you make them. They are reasonably priced. I appreciate that the female cashier is always really nice as well. thanks for supporting my berry craze without hurting my pockets. :)

Ryna D.

Yelp
This is a great produce/ specialty food store in my neighborhood. I usually shop here when I only have a few things to get or if I need something specific like flatbread for cheese.

Marina C.

Yelp
Although I still like coming to Lemon Farm.. I was very disappointed to find lots of mold in one of the packaged Items. I'll try to check more thoroughly next time or just purchase loose items.

Polly H.

Yelp
With tons of fresh produce and groceries, I will be sure to visit again. I went into buy yogurt and walked out with nectarines, oranges, clementines, and more!

mark s.

Yelp
Great deli but it looks like the original owners sold. I hope the new owners do not Change the selection. It's the only place in the neighborhood where you can buy decent cheese, olives, bread & other specialty European products. This neighborhood desperately needs a store like this. Please don't change

Anna J.

Yelp
Some stuff here was pricey while others were a great deal. I bought my tortilla here because it was a good price. I bought other stuff as well. They have great healthy food choices, but you need to be willing to spend. I also noticed that when I was looking around they didn't have any soy or almond milk. I also found the nuts they were selling was a little pricey. I did notice they had great selection of produce for a decent price.

Barbara C.

Yelp
Lemon Farm is no ordinary fruit stand. What's really nice about it is that they have great European specialty products. Once I discovered the specialty breads on the back, I was hooked. Now I do most of my grocery shopping here. They have a great selection of cheeses, Olive oils, spreads, honey of all types and provenance. The store is neatly organized and pleasant to shop in.

Larry K.

Yelp
This is the first time that I've been to the shop. It's small, boutique and has good prices. The fruit selection is pretty good and they have a lot of unusual items that you can't find in this part of queens. Te owners are a very sweet, and if you need something they will order it for you. Whenever I'm in the neighborhood I will be sure to stop here. Strawberries today two packages for a $3

JeanMarie C.

Yelp
I love this little bodega-type specialty store that just reopened yesterday in the midst of Covid. In my book, its a 5-star store. My only complaint during the time of a pandemic is that the gentleman outside said only 3 people were allowed at a time, when asked how many were in the store. I thought this was more than doable. Before I knew it, more and more people were coming in, not following any kind of flow, going every which way and not practicing any kind of social distancing, pushing against the traffic standing in line at the register. It made me incredibly anxious and felt very disorganized. I will have to forgo my trips to Lemon Farm as a result. There needs to be much more control of people traffic in a such a tiny, tight spaced store as this. I hope the owners will read this and take better precautionary measures in finding a proper system for traffic flow for their shoppers. It's too dangerous.

Jeff O.

Yelp
This market just opened up where another one used to be. The other ones were nice, but I have to say this one has that special something going for it. Great looking produce, decent prices, and all sorts of Euro foods like chocolates, sauces, and others. Great addition to the neighborhood. I hope they are a big success!

Huijie Y.

Yelp
Tiny but well organized market. Quite a large selection of groceries with its limited space. Cashiers are so friendly. They put your good in the bags very carefully.

Jeff S.

Yelp
This is a great little food store right down the block from us. Many choices packed nicely into a small space. Some organics, although I wish more of the fruits and vegetables were organic. Still, a really nice variety and selection of products at decent prices. One minor complaint - it would be great if Lemon Farm could get a real door. Those plastic slats hit customers in the face, are challenging to navigate with an arm full of groceries, and do very little to keep the interior of the store warm in the winter or cool in the summer. But even with the minor complaint, we really like this little place and are glad it opened shortly before we moved to the neighborhood. Very convenient and well-stocked with things we like.

Jen S.

Yelp
This is a fantastic small gourmet grocery store in Jackson Heights. It's tiny and gourmet but they have a very wide selection and the prices are comparable (or less!) than what you would pay for the same or similar products elsewhere. There is a huge selection of olive oils, lots of grains, jams, artisan bread, grains, cheese, and European candy. They even have the seasonal varieties of Ritter Sport bars! They also sell bulk coffee, it seems to be freshly roasted. This store is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood and I hope that they stick around.

Yuvaraaj J.

Yelp
Wow. Great produce. Good selection of other grocery inside and a very helpful kid called Diana at the cashier. Good bread too.

Joey V.

Yelp
Beautiful produce, seedless watermelon for 49 cents a pound, nuts, olive oils, yogurts, pastas, the works, come on down!

Francisco V.

Yelp
I really like the colors in this market, i buy all mi produce and the quality is really good. Mnnn the cheese.

Margot F.

Yelp
Great addition to the Jackson Heights neighborhood!! Large selection of unique, high quality specialty items and great produce - including organic! This store could easily be in Manhattan or Brooklyn.

Pamela Y.

Yelp
I find Lemon Farm a gem in Jackson Heights. Since I shop at Zabar's and Fairway, this is a mini gourmet shop. They carry specialized items. I find the staff friendly and accommodating! So glad to have this store!

Teresa L.

Yelp
I shop here frequently as I work in the area. They have an interesting selection of European canned and jarred products. The fruits and veggies are reasonably priced, although not organic (to my knowledge). The staff is very helpful if you need help reaching something high up. The do not harass you or stalk you as if you were shoplifting like at another Jackson Heights market that shall go unnamed... The owners have recently added Artisanal cheeses and imported sliced meats to the store. There are Sophia brand products, lots of honey (raw and pasteurized) and a very nice chocolate selection. Of course, there is some junk (Kinder chocolate). They have bakery bread delivered daily in the rear of the store. I have purchased items there once that I have never encountered again (Mediterranean foods Multigrain chips or Naan bread). I guess the owner makes that call. Sabra hummus is always a good price here, too. The guys keep the store nice an neat, too!

Scarlette T.

Yelp
their prices aren't particularly fantastic but the selection is decent (their bottled drinks are expensive, city prices). cashier was friendly enough and they have this mega basket selection hanging from the ceiling. kitschy and cool! i like it!

Jacob B.

Yelp
I stopped in here for the first time this week (I just moved to Jackson Heights recently), and was surprised to find their prices were competitive (or better) than the larger grocery stores on a number of items I regularly purchase: greek yogurt (better selection here than Foodtown, too), goat cheese, eggs, parmesan cheese, charcuterie meats (pancetta, sopressata, etc.), pitas, and whole coffee beans. Very good prices on these items for such a small store; for instance, the parmesan cheese I buy is $3.00 cheaper here than the larger UWS grocery store by my work. I'll be back to Lemon Farm frequently.
