When I was doing my itinerary planning of Vancouver, I saw a lot of recommendations for Lee's Donuts, and of course I had to try it. Since we were at the Granville Island Public Market, this was the perfect opportunity to get it.
Now, we came on a Saturday, and the line was insanely long! Since we were already there, I decided that I might as well do it. Fortunately, the line moves pretty quickly so don't be intimated if the line happens to be long! You'll get up to the front pretty quickly. I ended up ordering one honey dip and one blueberry filled. One thing I do have to mention is that I wish they had put up a menu or a list of donuts they had somewhere outside facing the line because I was stumbling over the options once I got to the front.
The donuts were good and fluffy, but they weren't spectacular by any means. Just your regular ol' solid donut. I will say, I do prefer the honey dip. The blueberry filled one was a little too messy and hard to eat. I also preferred the honey flavor as opposed to the tartness of the blueberry.
Lee's Donuts is a good donut place, but it's not "out-of-this-world" good. Definitely overhyped, but if you're craving a donut, it's the place for you.
