Lebowski Bar

To quote my pre-teen “the food at that place is pretty good.” 😊 I was expecting some Lebowski-related kitsch and clever food names but instead got… the Big Lebowski. We actually ate here two days in a row. The first day we had lunch a couple hours earlier and were just going for novelty. The second day we were starving and had a full meal. The banana White Russian my wife had was on point, the veggie burger (The Stranger) I had was one of my top 10 best ever. The milkshakes are also amazing. Add to that, everywhere you look is some kind of clever Lebowski reference. As someone that loves the film, this was just the cherry on top. Our server on the second day was better than the first, though they weren’t quite as busy, so they had more time to devote to us (Saturday afternoon versus Sunday lunch). All told, if you love the film and want good food, check it out. Side note: only speaking English was no problem at all, the staff was all very fluent.

This is a really nice place to get a great burger! The atmosphere is fun with soccer games on the big screen. Service was good as well.

You’ve got to see this place!!! It’s incredible and the staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. The drinks were excellent. We loved this place and can’t wait to go back and see it again!!!

You've got to check this place out! Regardless if you're a fan of the movie, this bar does the best hamburger in Reykjavik. Cozy home decor, friendly service, and good happy hour combo prices. The Dude abides!

PERFECTLY cooked burgers (med-rare). Best milkshake I ever had. I felt like I was going back in time eating here and I loved every minute of it. Great service, great food.

Great burgers, atmosphere, and service. Music was on point as well. So thankful to have stumbled on to that gem - had no idea it existed!

Please try a Smoky Burger! Double smash burger, perfectly prepared, get it with fries. Delicious and fast friendly service. Two visits, once at the bar and once at a table. Both great. Had martinis and one of the kazillion White Russians they offer. So good!

By far my favorite bar in a long time. Great kitchy attempt to mirror the movie, bowling culture. The things wrong are fantastic, like Nixon bowling. You have to use the grotto bathroom in the basement. Bartenders were beyond friendly and they had a great raffle wheel where we won 10 beers. We didn't eat but definitely will next time. Also best White Russian of my life!
