Le Relais de l'Entrecôte

I went to the restaurant 45 mins before it opened at 12pm, and there were 10 people waited in line already! The steak is cooked right and the sauce is amazing! I loved the crispy French fries! I had dessert and coffee after the meal. Service is good and speedy. A great culture experience and amazing tasty food to enjoy on my first day arriving Paris! Thank you very much!

This restaurant offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience. The concept is simple but well-executed: they serve only one main dish—perfectly cooked entrecôte steak with their famous sauce, accompanied by crispy fries. The meat was tender and cooked just right (medium, as requested), and the sauce really elevated the flavor. We had to wait in line for about 10-15 minutes before being seated, but the process was smooth, and the wait wasn’t too bad. Once inside, the service was quick and efficient, and the portions were generous. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend trying it at least once if you’re in the area!

It’s an experience! Yes, the steak is delicious, and the fries with the special sauce are great, but is it worth the huge line? I don’t think so. The taste of the steak is good—just good—but if you’re expecting something extraordinary, standing in line for hours might leave you disappointed. For a one-time experience, it’s worth waiting in a two-hour line, but honestly, not more than that! Cause you can honestly have the same quality/ taste somewhere else without standing in any line!

We waited 2 1/2 hours to get seated - but it was totally worth it. The service was excellent, even though the waitress had a lot to do - she was quite friendly and hospitable. The food was excellent as well. Very much enjoyed the salad, bread, steak, house wine. Get there early.

It is an experience! The stake was so tender and so tasy, never had anything like that before! We had it both ways-medium and rare- and you should definitely go for rare for the best taste ever!!! Also the sauce that comes with the stake is amazing!

We visited this restaurant on a Friday evening and had to wait 1.5 hours to be seated, which shows how popular it is. Once we got our table, it was quite tight—the table had to be pulled out so we could slide onto the bench, and the seating was definitely cozy. The atmosphere was lively, but it was very loud, making it hard to have a relaxed conversation. The food was good, but not exceptional. The salad had a sharp mustard flavor, which we enjoyed, but it might not be to everyone’s taste. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the fries were fantastic—crispy and flavorful. However, the sauce didn’t live up to the hype; it was fine, but nothing special. The portions were generous, and the price-performance ratio was great. The service was nice—the waitresses had a lot to do but stayed friendly and efficient throughout, which added a positive note to the experience. That being said, after waiting so long, the meal didn’t feel worth it. It was a good, standard meal that you could easily get somewhere else without the long wait and the uncomfortable, loud atmosphere. If you’re curious to try it, go ahead, but don’t expect anything extraordinary or worth the hype.

So fun! You start with a salad which was super yummy. They ask how you want your steak cooked, they only give you two options I opted for the more pink one. The steak and sauce was so delicious and paired with the Fritz was even better. The Fritz are unlimited but you get two servings of steak. I would say it is enough food to fill you up. Would go back next time I am in the city.

After passing by and wondering about the long lines at Le Relais de l'Entrecote in amazement, we decided to find out what's it all about. Arrived at 6.30pm and got inside 80 minutes later. The menu is basic: drinks, salad, entrecote with fries (you get a second serving if you wish, think it is the other part of the steak as the plates are medium size), and desserts. The meat is soft and tender, served in a special sauce, the fries are crispy. Dessert was really good. Overall worth the experience, in particular because the long wait in the line, and the small tables stacked together, give the opportunity to meet some really nice people from all corners of the world.
