Le Galliera - EN TRAVAUX

Don’t usually post. Came to this restaurant while buying pastry from next door La Patisserie. Tried the duck confit and it was one of the best I’ve tried. Crispy skin and tender meat. Highly recommended. Bonus: able to eat the pastry next door with coffee as dessert.

Over priced, mediocre food. We stopped by for a quick snack - the salmon starter was decent, but the French onion soup was too salty, and the lemon tart was kind of stale. They do however make an excellent cappuccino The waitress forgot to bring us water. And then also forgot to bring our dessert.

This is a fabulous place to stop for a quick bite to eat or something more substantial. We just needed a light lunch, so son and I opted for emmental / camembert baguettes and my wife had onion soup... all very delicious, with efficient and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Paris favorite. Love this place 💝 Our favorite restaurant in the entire world. From Tower: cross the river, turn right, two blocks. A nine page menu of tea, with pictures. Perfect lime sorbet with tiny bits of rind in the summer. Steaming, comforting soup in the winter. And a personal pot of hot tea. Never disappoints. I need an apartment here.

My wife and I popped in here for lunch. The staff were charming in general, and our waitress specifically was amazing. My french is very bad, but I am working hard to improve it. She let me order our entire meal in French, and gently corrected me and let me retry when I didn't quite get things right. I had the sardines to start and the steak tartare as a main. My wife had the herring fillets to start and the glazed pork as a main. All the flavours were bright and bold. The salads and vegetabless were fresh and tasty. The vibe is 100% parisian, and most of the people there are locals, not tourists.

Stopped by for an early dinner, and this was the third restaurant I tried. The first two only starts serving dinner from 7.30 pm, so it was a tad too late for me. I was third time lucky. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bonus was that they speak relatively good English. I ordered a vegetable soup (soup of the day, they had difficulty explaining the ingredients, but at least they tried). Whatever it was, it was delicious, served nice and piping hot with lovely baguette on the side. For mains I had the duck confit, and it was good. The side salad was refreshing with a tart dressing that balanced the rich flavor of the duck. The confit leg was fall off the bone tender with a nice crispy skin. It was served also with a side of garlic mushroom and potato which was tasty, but a little too oily. Overall, I had an above average experience at this casual bistro. I would happily recommend Le Galliera.

This is very convenient for the Palais Galleria so I went there for a late lunch at about 2:30. It wasn't crowded and there were plenty of empty tables but the head waiter took me over to a table that they literally were using to sort silverware and he pulled a chair over to it. When I politely asked if there was another table, he looked astounded, kind of waved his hand and said“you don’t want this table?” incredulously. I said no and waived my hand at some of the other empty tables for two. He said you’re one person and I said yes. As he took me over to a table between other groups of diners, he said you’re eating? (versus just going to have a cup of coffee – like there’s going to be a mad rush on these tables mid afternoon.). But I said yes, I’m eating so he gave me a decent table. In contrast to him, the waiter was busy but perfectly friendly and civil. I had a “ French rump beef steak with french fries, salad, and Roquefort sauce”. I enjoyed people watching (other patrons and on the street). The lunch was fine – the fries were crispy, the steak was cooked truly medium but was tough and the Roquefort sauce was delish. Throw in a couple pieces of bread and I was a happy camper. Good food and I felt like I vanquished the jerk.

You wouldn't think a plate of Chicken (grandma style) could be one of the best things you eat in Paris but it was! Still thinking about it. Perfect, simple food but SO delicious, plus the Cafe Gourmand is exactly what you want it to be. The proper little desserts. Delicious. Brilliant restaurant. Staff were fabulous. Great buzzy vibe. Recommended.

A friend & I stopped by for lunch after a visit at the Palais Galliera. It was Christmas time & we were sat at a secluded table near some cute decorations. It felt like our own private holiday party! Service was good.. food was good.. & their mulled wine (vin chaud) is the best!

this place is located near Eiffel tower, thought that server would know english, but it was on very low level (but server was really nice though). my sister ordered virgin mojito, but it definitely had some alcohol in it... ravioli serving size was SUPER small, but even worse- it's the worst ravioli I tried in my life, taste is very bad. even chicken caesar tasted really bad, sauce was like mixed with some water or something, dry chicken, not fresh greens. would not recommend this place, even though interior is very nice, you can definitely find better place.

First i ordered some tea - hair in my cup, got a new one but stil not a very pleasant surprise. And then they let me pay twice. I paid with my card, the waitress said 'something went wrong' so I tried to pay again. Now I have spend €26,60 on a cup of tea and a beer.

Stopped in here as our last dinner before heading the the airport. Lamb shank was the single best meal I have had!

Excellent, open between lunch and dinner hours, magnificent burgers, great and friendly staff, English menus available, very glad to find this place.
