Wonderful dinner for my family and me. The wellington beef is my favourite, delicious! Very fancy and elegant atmosphere. Winter clothes will be taken into a closet before we dine in which is very considerate. The price was worth the service and food. The waiter has a welcoming smile, he cooked the shrimp and it was amazing. He is very cheerful and even recommended us his favourite dessert. Everything was excellent except for the red wine, it was a little bit dry but it is affordable so it’s okay. We are very happy and enjoyed the meal. Delightful experience 💗

Done from Montevideo, Uruguay, took a reservation for having a Christmas dinner three months before through their website. It run smoothly. They “charge” a small amount to the credit card so as to complete reservation same way car rentals, that they will only charge it if you don’t assist. Dinner was outstanding, excellent service. We enjoy having Christmas dinner at Le Continental. I recommend it. It’s not cheap but as something be told me once when I was young, a good dinner in a good restaurant will cost 100 per head everywhere in the world. Cheers 🥂

We had our Chinese new year eve dinner there, it was one of the best meals in the old Quebec. The service was so wonderfully attentive, all the staff were friendly and helpful. For two of us, we shared the duo foie gras, I prefer the grilled one on toast, so good. I wish they can serve it by itself one day. The snails were good but not the best. For main course, we shared the flaming shrimps and Dover sole, so we enjoyed the wonderful serving performance beside table. We will definitely come back one day.

The filet mignon was excellent! Shocked that you can cook that good while on the table! Friendly staff! Appetizers and Deserts are very good too! Had Saint-Honore and Buche. For drinks, we had Cosmo and Kir Royale! Tasty! Highly recommended for tourists and locals! Book in advance as it’s almost sold out daily! Appetizers and drinks are priced very well.

Remi is an awesome waiter. He answered all our questions and did a tremendous job cooking table side. We had our own room upstairs that was well appointed with some nice architecture. The food was delicious. The after dinner show of making coffee was quite the surprise!

The worst scallops I have ever tasted in my life! The chef ruined this meal not once but twice for me. I was disappointed for the rest of the afternoon/evening after having dinner at 4 pm here. The restaurant came highly recommended, so I decided to treat my sister to dinner here on her last night in town. My sister had the flambay shrimp dinner, which I understand from her was very delicious. My meal, the scallops dinner on the other hand, was served with all 4 scallops over cooked. I couldn't even cut through the scallops with a butter knife they were extremely tough and incredibly chewy. No shellfish, seafood, or meat should ever be cooked this way. I sent the first plate back to the kitchen only to receive a second plate of the exact same dish prepared with one of the scallops under cooked and another scallop over cooked. So, from a total of 4 scallops in a dinner plate priced at over $60 CAD, I could only enjoy two of the scallops. I requested a discount on the meal and the server had it completely removed from the bill, which I was very happy about because there was absolutely no way I was paying full price for a ruined dinner that couldn't be prepared well on two separate occasions. It was very disappointing for an overpriced meal where the most expensive part of the dish, the scallops, couldn't even be cooked properly. Our server, Andrea, was great, provided great service, freshly prepared the Caesar salad that my sister and I shared, and even cooked my sister's shrimp dinner meal table side to perfection. Perhaps I should have ordered something I could see cooked directly at the table, too, because those scallops, hands down, the worst I've ever had! I won't be returning to Le Continental. I went to Shakers Vieux-Québec on Valentine's Day, the evening before, with my sister and paid no more than $30 CAD for an Atlantic salmon dinner that tasted 1000x better than this over priced, under cooked and over cooked scallop meal at Le Continental. Incredible! Disappointing and sad!

went through this past summer, the experience was amazing,top tier service top tier food, and the price is pretty reasonable,, the drinks were expensive, the Caesar salad was on another level of greatness, and as you can see the shrimp cocktail was just phenomenal, we had the filet mignon and also the snow crab, I cannot recommend this place enough can't wait to go back

I recently dined at Le Continental, and it was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to our server, Jean Yves. He was absolutely fantastic—charming, present, and attentive throughout the evening, enhancing our dining experience in every way. A delightful surprise of the evening was having our meal prepared tableside, transforming our dinner into a captivating performance with Jean Yves expertly leading the way. His skill and showmanship made the evening all the more special. We left not just satisfied with the food, but thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. Highly recommend!
