Le Chef is a beloved local institution in Beirut serving hearty, home-cooked Lebanese dishes at unbeatable prices, reminiscent of a warm family meal.
"One of our favorite go-to places for lunch, Le Chef has been around forever. They serve home-made dishes and specialize in Lebanese home cuisine, serving several daily dishes from stews to soups. Ask for the 'Mloukhieh', 'Fasoulia', 'Sayadieh' or 'Sheikh el Mehshe'. You won't miss Charbel, who will always remember how you take your dish after only the first visit." - Studio Safar
Tony went back to Le Chef, where he ate on his last visit (when Beirut was bombed). They had hummus with pine nuts and ground beef, eggplant with tomatoes, chickpeas, and onions.
