Lavomatique

I was recommended to come here for dinner by someone local and Lavomatique did not disappoint. Small menu, with very interesting dishes (e.g. the perfect egg) and one of the best steak tartares I've ever had. The service was fast and had great recommendations for matching wines. Overall a very fun evening!

Discovered this small intimate restaurant and it’s listed on 50 best discovery. Personal favourite is BBQ ribs, Mac& cheese, chickpea fries, 70% dark chocolate tart. Reservation is a MUST in this eatery, their place is full house and limited seat, saw the gatekeeper staff rejected many walk in diners and even you come with one extra after reservation still REJECTED

We were recommended by a local friend and Lavomatique didn’t disappoint! We ordered just a few dishes but they were all spectacular! The chuck steak was so tender and complimented the aubergine well, maybe a bit gamey for some but definitely up my alley. We’ve also ordered the cheese plate and grilled squid - a seasonal option, but the thing that blew us off were the chickpea fries - so crispy on the outside and tender within, alongside the spicy ketchup. Service were great though the restaurant gets busy and filled up very quickly, so definitely reserve beforehand!

The kitchen close 10PM so we booked at 9:30PM and it was a shame we hadn't had many dishes. (But Chef said you can order dessert even after the kitchen closes !) *If we had known in advance when we ordered or made a reservation, we would have ordered a lot of dishes, but it's too bad😭😭 But the dishes we ordered was so good that wasn't too cooked or undercooked It's cooked properly ! We ordered Boiled Mussels and the Beef Tartare were so refreshing that we didn't feel the fishy or cowy taste. And the white wine and red wine they recommended were also delicious.😋

Lavomatique in Nice is an absolute gem of a restaurant! From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for something special. The intimate size of the place, combined with its beautifully designed interior and warm, inviting vibe, set the perfect stage for an unforgettable dining experience. And it truly was exceptional. The food was simply the best I've ever had—each dish bursting with flavor and crafted with such care that I couldn't stop eating. I was so enamored with the food that I didn't want the evening to end. I asked the waiter if I could stay longer, and to my delight, they graciously allowed me to stay through the second seating at 9 PM, despite my reservation being at 7 PM. The waiter was incredibly sweet, and the chefs in the kitchen were just as lovely. I couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was, and they seemed genuinely thrilled to hear it. The entire experience was beyond amazing—three hours of pure culinary bliss, accompanied by some fantastic rosé wine. I can’t wait to return to Nice and visit Lavomatique again. If you’re looking for an extraordinary dining experience, this is the place to be!

Absolutely loved it. Went for lunch. Uncomplicated food with amazing flavours and textures. Great friendly service, lovely vibe and interior.

Wonderful Nice France open kitchen Restaurant tucked away in Old Town. Requires reservation w non-refundable deposit. Pair of brother chefs focus using freshest locally sourced ingredients. All items on menu are terrific for sharing. Get a table at the bar to watch elegant kitchen movement. They clearly work well together. Open M-F Dinner means business is fantastic. Fish, steak, anchovies, pork ribs, all delicious! Great job!
