Las Hijas de la Tostada - 5ta Avenida y Calle 38

Ok this place is amazing! We were craving some fresh seafood and we found their spot... Service is friendly and welcoming, our food was brought out without delays. We got the famous shrimp tostada, tuna sashimi platter, and aguachiles tostada, ALL delicious! I must mention, their name is super creative, love it! Prices are reasonable for what you get, super happy and will come back again!

Place is convenient, service is great but food is zero. Tacos are bland, smoked tunas tastes like it’s out of a can and the pulpo was over cooked. The ceviche sauce was tasty but I wouldn’t do it again. Pieces of seafood are cut up so small you barely catch a bite. The filler stuff (cucumber, onions and tomatoes are plentiful) drinks were way too sweet, I guess this is a really good tourist stop. Music was on point though and service was great!!

Ok to be clear I had one thing and one thing only here: the margarita. But boy was it ever GOOD. If you want a sublime drink and a nice place to sit at the bar, look no further. Oh also: they play terrific music, I ordered a second drink just to sit and hang.

Mixed feelings about the place. Feels like it is more for tourists than for the locals. What I didn't like was: Waiting time - we finished several nacho starters before the actual food arrived. People bothering the visitors: group of dancers making performance inside and asking for tips, not hearing person leaving some items and asking for a donation. Prices vs overall impression of the place- felt like prices are higher than regular in Playa. What I liked: Fusion cuisine - shrimp burgers. It was tasty. Second floor - being a bit away from the noisy street.

Make sure you stop here for a bite to eat! What a tasty franchise and pretty reasonably priced for the tourist area. The service was outstanding, friendly and timely. The food was great quality and tasty, I especially recommend both shrimp tacos and the tuna al pastor. Highly recommended!

This place is solid and I make it a point to visit with every trip to PDC. Great food, unique offerings and very attentive staff. The Camaron caramelo is delish! Pricing is on par with the area and you definitely can tell the freshness of their ingredients.

I can't believe I passed this place at least a thousand times when I lived in Playa and not once did I stop by. Shame on me! This place is everything!! I have NEVER tasted a tostada so freaking delicious!!! Please don't make the same mistake I made...GO THERE RIGHT NOW!

The tacos and tostadas were really good. I think I was expecting a bit more. My favourite might have been the seared tuna tostadas. The mojito had way too much ice which watered down the cocktail.
