Lagoon Service Bora Bora

Goodness. Where to start! Our tour was billed as “swimming with sting rays and sharks, with lunch on a private motu”. That’s like saying Bora Bora is a place where you can swim. It’s true, but it does NOT do it justice!! Our guide picked us up from our resort’s dock, gathered the rest of the passengers, and we were off. There was a cooler of drinks for us, and a guide that kept us entertained the whole time. We stopped in a shallow area to see stingrays. Did you know stingrays like cuddles?! Well, now I do. They were all over our guide, and we all got a turn to hold one of “his girls”. Then we went to a deeper area with a handful of beautiful (and shy) black-tipped sharks. We went to a final area where we formed a line (like ducks!) and followed our guide through the most gorgeous coral garden. In between our stops, our guide kept us entertained either by playing his ukulele and singing for us, or naming each resort, or teaching us natural science facts about the scenes around us. (I now know that stingrays can eat through their ears. So that’s cool.) We ended up with an absolutely delicious lunch on a private island, and a detailed (and delicious) coconut husking demonstration. Ray was our guide- he was incredible. Kevin was his crew, and was also wonderful. I sent the following note to his boss: “ I just wanted to send a massive māuruuru! Our excursion today with Ray and Kevin went above and beyond our expectations. From cuddly sting rays to truly excellent food to beautiful music and an amazing coconut demonstration…it was all incredible. Thank you for an awesome tour, and please pass our compliments on to Ray and Kevin. We will ask for Ray by name if we come back!”

Roni was terrific! This is a must-do excursion while you are in Bora Bora. He will take you around the whole island, teach you about it's history and get you to snorkeling spots that you can definitely not reach on your own. We got close encounters with reef sharks, stingrays, and amazing coral gardens. We had one of the best meals served to us on the beach of a tiny island. I would come back to Bora Bora just to re-live this experience! Maururu

The full day lagoon tour led by Tama and Mana was the best snorkelling experience I ever had. The selection of 3 snorkelling spots offered a variety of views and aqua species to surround yourself to. The other part of the tour on bora bora geo and Polynesian culture was also well introduced and demonstrated

Don’t miss out on this! The snorkeling tour of the Bora Bora lagoon was incredible! We saw beautiful corals, went around the entire island and saw breathtaking landscapes, had a delicious lunch on a private Motu but what really made the difference was the passion and knowledge our captain Taaroa shared with us. You can tell how much he loves his island and we learned so much about Bora Bora and Polynesian culture in the process. Can’t recommend more!

We had an unforgettable tour with Tama and Mana! Mana is not only an exceptional captain but also a talented ukulele player who entertained us with a lively concert throughout the journey. Tama, on the other hand, is the perfect guide—informative, funny, and incredibly friendly. He shared fascinating insights about the islands, lagoon, and their rich history, along with their culture and traditions. Despite a bit of rain, Tama and Mana brought sunshine with their humor and contagious joie de vivre. The company’s commitment to its clients is impressive. Even though we were the only couple booked that day, they honored the tour, giving us an intimate and private experience. We had a blast swimming with rays, snorkeling around sharks, exploring the coral gardens, and enjoying a delicious lunch on a private motu. A special thank you to the chef for the outstanding meal! Wahoo, such an amazing day in Bora Bora. The tour was absolutely fantastic, from snorkeling with the stingrays, sharks and discovering the beautiful Coral of the island. The staff (Roberto and Brian) was fantastic, nice fun and attentive ensuring our day was perfect. Cherry on the cake, the meal was delicious!!!! We just loved it!!!!

La Orana! We had a delightful, knowledgeable tour with Lagoon Service in Bora Bora. You can easily make arrangements; they will pick you up at your hotel dock! We were happy to have a wonderful group of locals, Captain Coco, Rudolph, and Freddy, take us out. Their French and English are both superb. A very knowledgeable Captain, he showed us three snorkeling sites: the Aquarium, swimming with Manta Rays, and then swimming with Blacktip Reef Sharks. There were so many of them! They all were very experienced and answered many questions from us all. The coral and fish were numerous and marvelous, so colorful. The delicious lunch and cultural show on a Motu afterward was the best part. It is an authentic slice of Polynesia. We had a fantastic time and thank them all very much. Merci Beaucoup! -Kevin

We've booked the Full Day Lagoon Tour including traditional delicious lunch on a motu. To keep it short, this was simply the most incredible tour we've ever been on. Snorkling with stingrays up close in a shallow lagoon, then dip into deeper waters on the outside Reef with the gracious Blacktip reef sharks and finish the adventure part of the tour with a drift snorkling above the stunning coral gardens. What set this tour apart is the super friendly guides, who take their time and explain as much as possible about Polynesian culture and their island. They also spread great positive energy all day long. Thank you for the unforgettable memories!
