La Villa Mahana

Everything about this restaurant is amazing. The arrival at such a beautiful place starts off the wonderful dining experience. Once seated at the table you have sliced cheese and olives to snack on. They then place a glass of champagne on your table and hand you the wine list and menu. I went with the exotic tahitian meal with the wine pairing. Everything was wonderful and truly too much food so don't worry that it's not enough. I can eat a lot and I was so full. After my meal while I waited for the other guest in my car ride I enjoyed sitting in the patio.

My husband and I came to Villa Mahana on our last night in Bora Bora. I had the pleasure of speaking with Vaihere, Damien’s wife to make our reservation. She made it really easy. The restaurant offered pick up/drop off service from our hotel which made our decision to dine here a no brainer. Upon arrival, we were greeted and led to our table. The restaurant itself is so romantic and beautiful. With only about 9 tables, it’s a very intimate experience. Now let’s move on to the food. We had the seared tuna salad for appetizer (best seared tuna I’ve ever had), it came with 2 types of bread, a French type of small loaf and then another bread wrapped in what I believe was banana leaves, it looked like a tamale. Both breads were insanely delicious. We were also served cheese and olives. For our main entree, I had the lobster and shrimp risotto and my husband had the beef tenderloin. This was by far our favorite meal in Bora Bora. From the food, to the service, the ambiance, it left nothing to be desired. Highly recommended if you’re in Bora Bora. Reservations are a must!

Wonderful dining experience. This family owned restaurant is stellar. The mahi mahi was amazing. Ice cream and chocolate cake dessert was the perfect ending. Best place in bora bora.

This restaurant is truly something special. We came here the night of our wedding for the Exotica tasting menu with the wine pairing and were so blown away that we had to make a reservation again 2 days later before we left. The Exotica menu is a must try, and the second night we had the leg of lamb and lobster/prawn risotto. Both were incredible! We will make a point to come here any time we are in Bora Bora. The staff was so kind to us and even recognized us from our first visit. Lots of lovely personal touches including a guest book at the end

My partner and I just went to La Villa Mahana during our honeymoon in Bora Bora and we highly recommend! The restaurant itself is a small, romantic setting with just a few tables making the experience feel very intimate and special. The food was delicious! They have both a french and polynesian tasting menu and my partner and I did one of each. Everything tasted so good and I thought it was such a cute way to have the menu. I wish we lived closer so we could have it again! If we're ever in Bora Bora again, we'll definitely be going back!

We had the most incredible meal and evening at La Villa Mahana last night for our 30th Wedding Anniversary! The food was excellent, and obviously made with love and care and served promptly and piping hot. Excellent service, very quick and great conversation with our server. We loved how small and cute the restaurant is, and that there is just one seating for dinner. They played a nice selection of music to set a comfortable and romantic energy. The owner / chef came out after all dishes were served, and the entire restaurant erupted in applause when we all saw him! We ordered the preset "Exotique" menu and although the dishes may look small, we were absolutely stuffed. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - we will be back for sure!! Highly recommend dining at this little gem when visiting Bora Bora. We both ordered the "exotic" tasting menu and truly enjoyed every bite of it. We were stuffed by the end of the meal - portions are very generous. Service is attentive and friendly as well. It's a very unique dining experience and so worth it. The atmosphere and decoration are just one of a kind.

This place was a great spend our anniversary. The food was AWESOME! The sauces, wine pairings, and portion size were perfect. If you are a person who loves food you have to go to La Villa Mahana when you go to Bora Bora.
