Pizzeria La Trofea

We had finished lunch and were strolling through the city when we came upon La Trofea, my friend who is a bread maker here in the US and me, a restaurant owner, were drawn in by the incredible aromas and the pizzas showcase. The owner behind the counter was outgoing, friendly and welcoming to us. Even though we were full, we ordered 2 slices of pizza and the mortadella sandwich...they both were out of this world! Warm and the taste of coal fired I consumed mine instantly. So much flavor, freshness and warmth from the owner. Highly recommend it.

If I have to be honest this is the BEST pizza I've ever eaten! The man that works here is extremely kind and cheerful and the local is filled with positive energy. Going back- the food is absolutely delicious and is priced reasonably.

Good pizza for a great prize. Right off the Piazza del Campo. They are open pretty much any time you want pizza. Delicious greasy real mozzarella pizza, just as I like it. Def a nice find if you are in Siena.

Honestly for a quick lunch spot, grabbing a slice of tasty pizza, you can’t go wrong. The gentlemen who served us, let us know each variety of pizza and was super friendly. The pizzas themselves might not look the best as they are cold, but they heat them up and oh god it was lovely! Quick, fast efficient service, friendly and welcoming atmosphere with hot tasty pizza!

One of the best slices I’ve had in Tuscany!! You must get a piece with buffalo mozzarella, you won’t regret it 😍 The best part is the dough, it tastes like it just came out of the wood oven, very very tasty well done! Grab a piece and take a walk around the piazza in the sunlight. Cannot recommend more.

It is a small place. I ate the one with mushrooms, it was delicious. One slice was for 4 euros. I recommend it.

When you come to Italy you have to have a pizza. We visited Siena and we found the best pizza shop in town. Located just around the corner from the main plaza is this is little pizza heaven. You could smell the pies cooking outside the door and when we walked in the case was filled with freshly bakes pies of all descriptions. They bake everything right there in 2 big ovens with all fresh ingredients. if you like pizza this is the place to come.
