La Provence Boulangerie & Patisserie

We love traveling as much as our guests do, so when we discover a wonderful restaurant, we like to spread the word! La Provence in Lake Oswego was fantastic! The moment you walk in, you know you’ve made a great choice! Not only are you greeted by friendly hostesses, but the bakery display is lined with delectable pastries—all freshly baked and beautifully arranged. Once seated, the menu will have you wanting to order more than one item! Everything we selected was delicious! Thank you La Provence team for your wonderful hospitality!

BEAUTIFUL environment, such delicious food, amazing service!! Our waitresswas so sweet, I believe her name was Avery. Everything came out fairly quickly even though it was quite busy as we were there around lunch time. Super impressed with the quality of food!! Would definitely go again for a fun, fancy outing.

A very reliable place with a serious menu and tasty products. Second time I came here it was the Labour Day and they were overwhelmed by the crowds and that was unexpected. The pastries they have are decent to good, but the food is much better. Coffee is terrible as most places in Portland area.

holy baguette! this place is so cute and so tasty and so you should go. My family came on a tuesday morning but we had to wait approx. 10min for a table. this is only because it was NYE. our waiter seemed a bit cold at first but i’m sure he wasn’t too happy about working on a holiday so i don’t blame him. my mom and i ordered two dishes to share: their lemon raspberry french toast and their eggs benedict on a croissant. french toast flavor was sooo yummy however the lemon curd was a bit too sweet and got too overpowering by the end of it. the eggs benedict was perfect, however im glad i shared a sweet and a savory dish cuz i would’ve been flavor fatigued. they have pastries in the front as well that looked rather divine yes indeed. overall 7/10 would come here once again!

La Provence has a similar concept to La Madeleine, a chain of French restaurants with a reasonably priced menu. We found that the atmosphere was cozy and service was competent and pleasant. The food it self was a bit of a letdown, nothing was horrible but nothing was particularly noteworthy either. The French onion soup was OK, but lacking in depth. The gougères were filled with onion dip and would have been much better left alone. The chicken with the pasta was too dry and the Salade Parisienne was so briney that you could taste little else. For dessert we had a Pavlova, which was good, but we have had better. All in all, not a bad place considering the price, but nothing spectacular.

We will travel from Vancouver or anywhere in the greater Portland area to have a meal at La Provence. It is one of our very favorite places to eat in Portland. We have vowed to try a different dish each visit but we will always order our favorite pastries to go when we leave.

We had a lovely breakfast of eggs Benedict and a pastry. The eggs Benedict was delicious especially served atop a croissant. And the hash browns were perfect.

Love breakfast or afternoon coffee with sweets at La Provence! If you can, seat outside and enjoy the nice weather. Their pastry/sweets case is a must see! My favorites are: Pavlova, Napoleon and Hazelnut Eclair. For savory menu items, some of my favorites are the Whipped Feta and Avocado Tartine, Baked Eggs a la Française and Salmon Hash. The service and food is always great!
