"In the old town of Valletta, among the major tourist attractions, an authentic and flavourful traditional Maltese cuisine is served in a simple and informal setting. Among the most successful dishes are pulled rabbit rigatoni, homemade filled pasta, Maltese stuffed marrows, pan-fried octopus, and Aljotta, the island’s typical fish soup." - Michelin Inspector

The food was one of beter one's of Maltese. The service was not very good. Pepole in this restavrant makes you feel that they dont wont you there. Tables are realy small and croudy. The foid it self was good. The baked potato is very spacy so just be aware of that if kids will eat it. We realy missed salad selection. Basicly you can get rucola with some small toamtos and cheese. I had a rabbit and it was good but very mild in taste 8/10 price 27€ and my wife had a occtopusse 27€ and would give it 7/10. Overall it was good food and bad service.

My wife and I visited here for a light lunch on a Friday, we wanted to experience some Maltese cuisine. Seating is outside on the pedestrian pavement, so you can watch the hustle & bustle of tourists like us go by. Service was good, we ordered swordfish tagliatelle and rabbit rigatoni, both were delicious meals and plentiful in portion. Bread and it was fresh, was complimentary to help clean the plate. My only criticism was the €8 Aperol, was weak and a light orange in colour compared to other places. Would recommend this place.

Lovely place, great location and really nice surroundings. The food was absolutely delicious! The local rabbit and the rigatoni with rabbit were amazing, and the appetizer with local delicacies was also very tasty. The only downside was the dry bread served with the starter, it felt unnecessary. The bread served at the beginning wasn’t great either. But everything we actually ordered was truly excellent. As for the toilet, let’s just say, it’s not for everyone. 😅

We really did enjoy the food there. The portions were big and tasty, while everything came fresh and hot. Price wise it was OK. We got the traditional mussels, the rabbit liver and calamari.

We’ve stopped by La Pira for local Maltese cuisine. The Rabbit liver was delicious - the sauce savory complimenting the tender Rabbit Liver. Never seen Rabbit Liver on the menu before - so had to try it and we’re not disappointed. Service is fast and friendly! Delicious Food!

We are so glad we stumbled across this beautiful, authentic restaurant. If you want traditional, classic Maltese cuisine that tastes like grandma made it, this is the spot. The rabbit was incredible as was the marrow main. The dessert, especially the Halva ice cream and traditional imarqet dessert - wow. Highly recommend giving this place a go. Would definitely return again next time I am in Malta.

Nice restaurant with delicious food, but with very intense aroma and spices. We tried the Maltese specialty of rabbit in sauce and the Maltese sausage with a lot of spices, but I didn't like it, because it has quite an intense taste for someone who normally doesn't eat meat often or doesn't like overly aromatic food in a sweet-spicy combination. The waiters are very friendly and helpful and generally the service is fast. Worth a try and a visit.

They have some traditional Maltese dishes with rabbit that we came for and it was very delicious. We did have some trouble finding out what was in the food, as I have some allergies and the waiter couldn't tell us what was in the food and didn't go to ask. So it was a bit of a gamble. But the food was delicious and I didn't have any problems in the end.
