"Honolulu's last great tiki bar is tucked behind a row of warehouses, six miles northwest of Waikiki. Set on the edge of Keehi Lagoon, it shelters under plumeria and coconut trees—and will be familiar to fans of Hawaii Five-0 . La Mariana defies the kitsch label: All those shell chandeliers, puffer-fish lights, and fishing floats suspended in nets are the real deal, with mostitems dating back to 1957. Carved tikis abound, alongside high-gloss tables fashioned fromkoa, the rich-hued wood from endemic acacias and the source of weapons and voyaging canoes for ancient Hawaiians. Go for the ambience and strong mai tais; the menu is straight-up, old-school surf and turf, perfectly tasty but uninspiring."

Came here while waiting for a domestic layover since it’s relatively close to the airport. Highly recommend! Food was delicious and service made the whole experience even better. Sat outside which was nice since the weather was mild and not too hot.

Ok, place to eat. Maybe we ordered the wrong items. Lots of customers so it may have been what we ordered. We will skip next time though. Nice server.

Went here to kill some time before check in and everything was amazing. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day of travel! We got the mai tai and the Hawaiian punch (drinks) both were fantastic! We split the coconut shrimp which came with a fantastic sauce. Then we also got the ahi tuna tacos and the fish and chips. The fish was the star of the meal. I'd absolutely recommend this place if coming from the airport. They were even able to accommodate our luggage! Staff was fantastic!

Great tiki vibe with chill views of the marina. The staff was super friendly, and the mai tai was a very good classic cocktail. It seems as if they haven't updated their menus in quite some time. It's like this tiki hut is in a time warp and somehow dodged inflation. Huge props for figuring out how to keep prices (including cocktails) low and staff nice and friendly. I would definitely take my family here if visiting because it oozes old tiki Hawaiian, or at least what mainlanders think when they think Hawaiian. The food isn't my type of food, though, and there was not much on the menu that was exciting. When the food came out, it was nothing jaw-dropping either. Saddly, it wouldn't take much to make the food better. Technique would go a long way to fix soggy broccoli and separated lemon butter sauce on a grey overcooked piece of ahi. Overall, I say definitely come for the ambiance and nicely priced cocktails, but if I'm keeping it 100, maybe get some pupus and skip straight to dessert.

What a great historical find on our vacation:) More Tiki In Waikiki this is a true authentic vintage tiki bar across from the marina ouir bartender gave us a brief history of this place and as he talked we just could imagine how it was in the 30's& 40's its like a step back in time. The Drinks are fabulous I had the "Original MaiTai" The Best!! Ii aslo had a Blue Hawaiian which was blended a different take but just as yummy!! it Paird well with the "Fresh Catch" of the day the "Tuna Sashimi" I have not had better fresh fish than this OMG it was the best of the best freshest fish :) This Place every where you looked it had the decor and history I truly loved this place with all the nostalgia and charm it had we will definately be returning to this place :) If you are a vintage tiki fan you will love it. This Is The Real Thing!! Tiki In Waikiki Find It!! Enjoy It!! Becasue you will take a step back in time and escape to a place that is what tiki is all about!! This place should be a national historic landmark. If you want a REAL old school tiki bar experience this is the last place left to get it. This food is top notch and the drinks are even better. The atmosphere is chilled and laid back so leave your drama at home. I would give it tdn stars if I could. Like every place they are short staffed so bring some patience, we are on island time, remember that. This is a marine bar/restaurant for boaters, it's been here over 70 years. It's survived for that long for a reason. If you are a tourist, sneak in and be respectful. If you live here then you should already know about this place, it's part of your cultural heritage.

The atmosphere of one of the last original tiki bars was fantastic. The location on the marina was superb the service and atmosphere outweigh the lack of top-tier cuisine. I would’ve spent just a bit more money to have most excellent food. The fish tacos were soggy. The squid was amazing. The pupu platter was great, and the drinks were fantastic
