This is a fantastic place to have a great meal. The ingredients were fresh and the flavor was rich and well seasoned. My favorite was the chicken soup and the fish tacos. The service was great too. Definitely a place worth coming back to!

Wonderful authentic Mexican gem! We came here for lunch during our last day of vacation and was impressed by the food here. The restaurant is nicely tucked away from the buzzing Venice beach but still very walkable if you are visiting the beach. It is not a fancy restaurant but the food was very authentic and reasonably priced. We ordered some tacos (pork, fish, shrimp and steak) as well as tostadas and loved every bit of it. Easily best Mexican restaurant we have been during our LA/Palm Springs trip!

I love this place! It's a local restaurant, family owned. Excellent Mexican food. The service is always amazing and the staff is always very friendly. In terms of ambiance it's bare bones simple but it's always very clean. I highly recommend it if you are looking for the real deal Mexican family owned.

I just have to say; it is pricey for the quality of food, what I mean by that is that isn't the best (at all) Mexican food you find around: 30$ for a Fajitas plate is crazy The beans: So insipid.. C mon fry those beans, use seasoning, garlic, something ! So.. if you are those who like "atmosphere" stuff; this place is good.. otherwise this is a place i wouldn't recommended cuz this is about FOOD, good flavor, etc etc.. the spicy salsa(for chips) were FIRE.. maybe the best thing there.. everything else..? You better get DelTaco and I'll be tastier

This spot is such a gem! Delicious and fresh food, great portions and prices, warm and friendly service, and a nice casual vibe. You can't go wrong here! I've been here a few times and have tried their fish, steak, crispy potato, and shrimp tacos. All delicious! You get an entire cut of fish on the taco, which I appreciated. No skimping on ingredients here! We've also gotten the nachos to split among the table, and others in my party got fajitas and chicken soup. The chips that they bring to the table and use in the nachos are made fresh and you can taste the difference! Everyone gave it 10/10. I also love their tamarindo agua fresca! And my partner loves their horchata. This is a great spot. It's relatively quiet which feels like a nice escape from the chaos of LA. And it's not too far from the beach! It's the perfect spot to come for a casual night out, or after a long day of adventuring. We've now brought out of town guests here twice and both parties really liked it!

Hubby chose the pork wet burrito, my daughter had a cheese quesadilla and I had my chile relleno. Food was super tasty but was such a big portion I couldn't finish it. Would return again.

Really liked this place. The interior was cute and the staff was really nice and attentive. The tacos were all very good I got the asada, beef, and the carnitas. There was free chips and salsa as well which is a huge plus in my book, though it definitely had quite a kick.

Cinco Estrellas! We loved this authentic Mexican place. What a pleasant surprise in the midst of so many other trendy restaurants that come and go. Food was fresh, delicious and well portioned just like it came from a family kitchen. The pork carnitas platter was incredible, the meat was tender and tasted like it came from a campfire, the frijoles were soft and buttery smooth. Must go for the guac and the salsa is for real hot! The tortilla chips were thin delicate, fresh and very tasty. As for the service it was friendly prompt, and all around right. We chose to sit outside because the weather was so beautiful but the interior is nice as well. Nothing fancy or pretentious here. Just great food and great people!

Best steak taco I've had in a long time. The meat was tender and well seasoned. Then the green salsa on top adds a nice spice to the mix. 10/10 would recommend. The carnitas was also amazing. Tender, well seasoned and has the same green salsa Just a note, as of early June 2023 they didn't have a license to sell alcohol. I was really hoping for a beer with my tacos and was disappointed when I couldn't but then the food and service completely made up for it. Our waiter was very nice. Apologetic when we found out there was no alcohol and helpful by adding we could byob. Sounds like this place is still new so they're working on getting the license. The waiter also had sensed we were in a hurry and was quick to bring us the check when we were finished. He was really on his A game and we appreciated that

Amazing restaurant that I will always stop by when I can and I'm in Venice! Everything on the menu that I've tried is delicious and reasonably priced. I personally love huevos rancheros, and they serve theirs all day! Also tried the dirty horchata this time which was amazing. Staff is very friendly and service is prompt. It's a great place to go with some friends and it's never been too crowded or hard to get seated when I've been there. Love this place - it's such a gem!

I've been coming here since the peak of the pandemic when they only offered pick-up and didn't have dine-in. Whether I've had my food to go and ate it in the car or actually dined in, it's always tasted great!! These are my faves and go-to's: Carne Desebrada (shredded beef) Carne Asada (steak) Camaron (shrimp) Pollo (chicken) Flan - don't skip this!! Horchata & Jamaica - both absolutely delicious!! -Service is great and they're so friendly! -Ambiance is casual but cozy! -Prices are reasonable and fair. -Parking is the only issue but again if you call and order ahead of time, you can just pick up and enjoy your food by the beach! Overall, I love coming here when I'm in the area for a more casual lunch!!

This is still my favorite Mexican restaurant in all of LA and I have been to every single one. Only one of those two statements is true. I have been going here for over 15 years and now make the 45 minute drive to come with my family and friends when they are in town. The family that runs Fiesta Brava are the kindest most genuine people and the chefs are top notch people as well. All of this is felt in your dining experience there and tasted in every bite of their delicious food. Go there!!

From the minute we walked in we knew what we had! No frills, no beer, no booze. Just authentic tasty real Mexican food! And on top of that they have the most awesome young lady named Jasmin doing the advising and the servin! Salsa was hot hot and the chips not not. That's ok. The guacamole was on point and delicious! See photo! It's at this time that I'd like to mention that you can bring your own beer or alcohol. We inhaled the tacos in minutes. Delicious! 5 stars for the food and 10 stars for Jasmin!

Tracy Park recommends? Tried it one night, place clean, looks like family run thought food was little bland, we tried beef soup And chicken tacos. Chicken needed flavor. I still prefer Paco's. Rose avenue is very dangerous to drive at night, no lighting look out for pedestrians!!!

- Locale Destination - It's on Hampton Dr and off Rose Ave in Venice. I didn't know some restaurants are here, right off from Rose Ave. Ambiance: casual, mom& pop. Only a few seating outside. Menu: Mexican - various items Service: You pay inside first and they bring food for you. Quick. Parking: street parking - Gluttony Expedition - Carnitas taco: carnitas was tender, salsa was good. Not bad. Chips & salsa: salsa was nicely spicy. - Conqueror's Deduction - It wasn't blow-your-mind good, but not bad!

Venice Beach has many beach adjacent brunch spots with long wait times. But I'm not one for crowds or what's routinely popular. So we continued on our morning beach stroll. Then made a right turn on Rose and happened upon this delicious Mexican Joint. Lucky us! Everything vegetarian on the menu looked delicious and it is! The horchata was just the right amount of cinnamon spice and the salsa freshly made this morning. The vege enchiladas were exactly what I was craving and hit the spot. Thank you guys, I'll be back. Thankfully, it wasn't crowded and I could comfortably dine outside w/ out a mask and the stress of people in close proximity. It was a wonderful dinning experience al fresco and truly my fav Mexican on the west side of LA.

Thank goodness for the heartwarming beef soup that's served here! I worked at a soul-crushing gig nearby, and a source of comfort, for me, was to go eat the beef soup at La Fiesta Brava. It always hit the spot and lifted my spirit after I'm done. Besides wielding a special power to make my day, the soup is just delicious on its own merit. It's cooked with tender chunks of beef, fresh slices of zucchini, carrots, and a bit of Spanish rice thrown in. Seasoned just right, the taste can be further enhanced with a squirt of lime juice and garnished with chopped cilantro and diced onion. The house salsa, by the way, also deserves a hearty shout-out! The restaurant should consider bottling them for sale. I'd pick up a bottle every time I'm there. It's so good. Muchas gracias to La Fiesta Brava for not only serving wonderful food but also for having nourished my emotional well-being!!

The veggie enchilada combo was great. The to-go packaging was HORRIBLE. Polysterene 6 container, plastic utensils (single-use not recyclable) and plastic bag. Only thing that was recyclable or compostable was the paper bag for the chips and #1 plastic container for the salsa. Unfortunately won't be back until they fix this issue. You can do a lot better...please!

We found this place on a spontaneous visit to the Venice canals. You can judge a good Mexican place by the salsa and this place has amazing salsa! We ordered the cheese enchiladas and the taco/enchilada combo. The portions were generous and everything tasted delicious! What made the experience better was that the server looked genuinely happy to have us there and was very proud of the food. It speaks volumes when you can tell someone is proud of the food they serve. This is one of those few places left in LA!

Wow, what a gem! Such a cool, neighborhood spot. Family owned and operated. If I'm near Venice, I'm coming here. Great salsa, chips, tortillas, guacamole. The crispy tacos are a must try. Fajitas are sizzling and delicious, although not quite as tender as the Tex-Mex examples you'll find around Houston or San Antonio. Love the beans and rice. Don't miss the Dirty Horchata (mixed with cold brew). The indoor dining space is cozy and super clean, although I prefer the outdoor tables. The table-side heaters are really appreciated. Fantastic, friendly service. It's obvious the pride of ownership here is high. I really want to get here for breakfast one day and try the machacado. Love this place!

I got two cheese enchiladas with the tomatillo sauce. No rice or beans but I added the guacamole I ordered on the side as well as the salsa that came with the chips. Excellent combo. We got here just before noon on a Friday and it was super quiet. It started to get a bit busier after 12 but still very pleasant and not crazy busy. Food was fast and good.

So happy we tried this place! We got 2 fish tacos, 2 shrimp tacos, and guac - all for ~$25 without tip. The food has to be some of the best value in the area. The best shrimp tacos I've ever had and just look at those fish taco portions... incredible. I highly recommend getting the guac - it pairs nicely with the tacos for una fiesta en mi boca! I definitely plan on returning if/when I'm back in the area!
