Pleasantly surprised to be in Madrid while the children's author Oliver Jeffers was in town for a signing. The staff was super friendly and the signing was well organized.

I just moved to Madrid and found this gem of a bookshop at the city center! It has a huge variety of books in multiple languages like English, French, Spanish, Italian.. etc I felt relief because most of the other bookshops had books only in Spanish except for "Desperate Literature" ofc. So from now I'll be going to this beautiful place. Ps: the staff are friendly and helpful, they also can speak English which is a bonus.

La Central, with spacious shelves, accessible books, reading tables, and titles in multiple languages, is a bibliophile’s haven. I found an illustrated poetry edition in Spanish and English, plus cultural magazines and art stationery. The space invites browsing, with soft background music, comfortable chairs, and a small in‑house café. Staff were helpful, offering personalized recommendations and providing an elegant bag. Ideal for lovers of paper, quiet cultural encounters and literary discovery.

Great place! Highly recommendable if you like, books, architecture, quiet place, interior design and food and wine. It's a combination of bookstore, several stories high, and bar and restaurant. Service is very good and friendly. They got a lunch menu which is price worthy. If you have been walking around the historic centre of Madrid for a couple of hours and just wants to sit down, journal, up load your photos on Instagram and maybe have a beer, coffee or glas of wine, well, this is the place you have been looking for. All kinds of books and also stationary, if you run out of ink and paper. Enjoy!

Excellent bookstore. Very good and large selection of books. The children section is fantastic. They also have a section of books in "original version" in French and in English. The coffee shop is very good. It is worth exploring the different floors for the sake of the beauty of the building.

Best place to find all sorts of books. I got lost for hours in their different rooms and multiple floors. I probably spent most of my spending budget in this place during my vacation time in Madrid. No regrets thought!

Gorgeous bookshop with a pretty little cafe (which unfortunately doesn't have WiFi, otherwise I would have stayed). Good staff picks of Spanish and LatAm fiction titles. Tempting. Managed to walk away with just two books which is good for a compulsive book buyer like me.

Went to the cafe, food tasted horrible cold and stale. Pigeons everywhere going on top of tables. No internet, the scenery is pretty but you can’t even enjoy it. Overall disappointing
