I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant La Cabane des Praz in Chamonix ski resort, France. A magical atmosphere in a cozy wooden cabin surrounded by snow, enhanced by charming Christmas decorations. The service was friendly, attentive, and accommodating, even lending me a snow brush for my car. The food was delightful: the scallop tartare was beautifully presented and flavorful, the poultry with creamy morel mushroom sauce was tasty (though the skin could have been crispier), and the apple crumble dessert was fresh and delicious. A wonderful experience overall—highly recommended! (I didn’t pay, so I can’t comment on the pricing.)

What an exceptional evening we had on our last night in Chamonix at La Cabane Des Praz! The food and atmosphere were exceptional, and the staff made our party of 9 a top priority. We will definitely be back! Merci!

We visited the restaurant for my husbands birthday on the recommendation of a friend. The staff were warm and welcoming and the services was exceptional throughout. The food was delicious as was the wine. We had a very enjoyable evening.

We visited La Cabane Des Praz with a group of 8 persons, we had an excellent dinner with good food, festive surroundings and good service. The steak can be recommended. We enjoyed good wine and desserts.

I had an unsatisfactory experience at this restaurant. The second courses appeared to be pre-made, and the €20 'green salad' was especially disappointing. The avocado was blackened, and the greens looked as if they came from a can rather than being fresh. Given the poor quality of the ingredients, I don't believe the meal was worth the price, and I will not be returning.

We had an amazing dinner, we loved the food, but the best was the service. Marion made the night very special by looking after us and smiling constantly. She was super professional and very nice. We would recommend this restaurant 100%.

Robot service à la Mc Donald's This restaurant has excellent food, however I can not give it a 5 out of 5 because the service is so Mc Donald's like it's embarrassing. I know some people like this. I do not. In such a nice restaurant the servers should be warm and welcoming not acting like robots. If this is not a problem for you then I do recommend it. The interior is really nice and cosy, very thought through. The view of the mountain is stunning but like I said, the service is not.

Lovely restaurant with a superb terrace overlooking Mont Blanc. Alpine chalet but very contemporary design. We arrived at 1420hrs and staff very friendly and helpful and sat us for lunch. We were able to order off the set menu which at 29 Euro was exceptional value. Would definitely suggest this venue for a sunny day although if eating inside you still won't be disappointed. Never made to feel we had to rush and left well after 1600hrs. French onion soup delicious and we all tried the 7 hour slow cooked lamb. Melt in the mouth.

We ate here at the recommendation of the manager of the hotel we were staying at. We're glad we went. It was a very lovely restaurant, with lots of options on the menu. We had the veggie risotto and the cheese fondue. The staff were extremely friendly and spoke English well. The prices were reasonable, too!
