THE BLOSSOM KYOTO

I highly recommend this hotel and would return to stay in a heartbeat. Stayed here for 6 nights and everything was of impressive standard - the staff welcome with check in, the room and the included extras of guest lounge with drinks and snacks plus the basement public bathing area (we loved this bath so much we used it 2-3 times every day!) The deluxe twin room was of a good size with beautiful interior fittings. Lovely bathroom with a high pressure shower and bath. The room was quiet and the bedding was super cosy and comfortable. But the star of this hotel is definitely the bathing area. It felt incredibly refreshing and luxurious to soak here after long days of exploring Kyoto. I will remember my stay for a long time.

Not only is this hotel beautiful, but the staff are some of the best as well. It was one of my most comfortable stays during my time in Japan. The location of this hotel is a little further from the popular spots but it was by no means inconvenient as things were easily accessible by train or bus. The staff were helpful, accommodating and friendly. When I had a lot of questions, I was helped quickly and kindly. I even witnessed the front desk staff being more than gracious to an unruly entitled guest who would not take accountability for their own mistake. I used the delivery service offered by the hotel to send my luggage to my next destination and it was easy and thorough. The staff even called the next hotel to ensure my reservation was there as to make sure my luggage goes to the correct spot. The public bath was clean, relaxing, and much needed after walking 20k steps a day. For those with tattoos, stickers are provided at the front desk free of charge. The hotel does offer coin laundry, and the nice thing is that there is a mode on the TV labeled “congestion” which allows you to see the availability of the laundry machines, how much time is left on the cycle, and if someone is past their pickup time. I didn’t get a chance to use the machines because they were always in use but it was not a big deal. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at The Blossom Kyoto!

Walkable to/from Kyoto Station, and also located super close to a bus stop which allowed us to get all around Kyoto easily. The hotel was clean and sleek, the staff were great, and the rooms were perfect for what we needed. The shower was actually one of the best showers I've ever used. The only downside I'll point out is that in the middle of the night it could get quite loud with ambulance sirens, but that is just the reality of being in a city I suppose. Overall, I think this is a great place to stay in Kyoto.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel, which truly offers exceptional value for the price. From the moment we checked in, the service was outstanding. One of the ladies at the front desk not only assisted us during check-in but also helped us when we checked out. Her professionalism and genuine sincerity made a lasting impression. We rented two rooms for our family of five, and both were spotless and well-maintained. The hotel’s services were top-notch, contributing to an overall seamless and enjoyable stay. Additionally, the location of the hotel is ideal—it’s conveniently situated between all the major tourist attractions, making it easy to explore the area. I truly had a memorable visit and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfort, great service, and excellent value.

I stayed for three nights over Christmas time. It was my second visit to The Blossom. I had a great experience the first time so I decided to stay here for the second time. However, this experience is not as good as my first. The check in receptionist didn’t offer me late check out until I told them I am a hotel member (entitled to have late check out). I booked through my room on official website. Then on the day of checking out, I received a call from the lady at the front desk saying that my check out time was 11:00. I explained to her and she finally said it was okay to stay till noon without any apology. She obviously disturbed my rest. Shame However, the staff at the restaurant are friendly and helpful. And the breakfast buffet is good with a wide range of selections. I guess the staff at the hotel are too busy but visitors expect more from Japan hospitality, there may be better options.

The hotel is newly open after covid in 2021. |The location is quite good and got supermarket next door. ||The hotel provide quite a lot from the check in process we are provided with some snacks and welcome drinks. And in the basement there are onsen to enjoy with free flow snacks and drink to choose from. ||The room is spacious in japanese standards around 27m but the next day we were upgrade to a quad room since one of our room had problems with the bathroom and wow the quad room is amazing, should have book quad room next time. ||Service is good and quick check in and check out process. ||Would love to stay here again when I am back in Kyoto. ||Highly recommended

I have a hard time giving Blossom five stars...the location is difficult right on a main road, I realize it's up to availability but I specifically contacted the hotel six weeks ahead to get a room not facing the street, which was almost certainly ignored. We were waking up many nights out of the five with sirens and revving motorcycles, even with a white noise machine. Second, the clientele vibe is just off...our first night there was filled with people sitting in the lobby getting wasted and just overall snooty attitude from fellow hotel goers. The on site hot pool was very nice and the gym was excellent for a smaller boutique hotel, also appreciated the coffee/tea snack corner. The desk attendant was very helpful and got us a reservation at a sushi place for dinner, as everything impossible to get in with the crowds. Overall, I would probably switch to the same class hotel but not in this location if I come back.

Spent 2 nights at The Blossom before moving on to my next destination. The location was great, very near to Gojo Station Exit 1 (no lift access). Lotsa to explore around, and there's also a 7-11 a stone throw away. Staff were friendly and helpful, and speak fluent (enough) English to render assistance. Breakfast buffet selection was average, but adequate. We also enjoyed the light meals and welcome drinks. We had a Moderate King room, 23 sqm does feel kinda tight, but it was cosy, and the bed was comfortable. Public bath (women) was clean and spacious, opening time from 6am to 9am, and 3pm to 1am. Amenities provided at the bath was good and sufficient. Guest lounge was a little overcrowded, and unsightly from guests lying around. There were free snacks, drinks, and ice cream. There's 5 washers/dryers but they were always in use, until perhaps close to midnight; definitely need more washers/dryers The last feedback I have: all 3 lifts in the hotel reeked of cigarette smell.
