Kvosin Downtown Hotel

The staff was friendly and helpful. Wonderful hotel with clean rooms and spacious suite. If you have a family- the top floor suite is perfect! Excellent central location. We could walk to restaurants and night life. I would highly recommend this place and stay here again!

Andrew gave us a cheerful welcome upon our arrival. E were able to check in a bit early which was wonderful. The room was clean, spacious and had a European feel. The bed was perfect for us, the pillows were fluffy and supportive. We enjoyed our time there very much. Central to everything, short walks to Harpa, Saga museum, Flyover Iceland, shopping, and did I mention the restaurants? Food was beautifully prepared, flavorful and service was professional across the board. Hotel Kvosin was our home in Iceland. We will definitely come back, stay longer, and see more of this amazing country. Thank you Andrew! You made our stay perfect.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. I booked the biggest room for 2 adults and one child. Everyone had their own bed and lots of space. We loved the convenience of the kitchenette and the sofa and table. The room was clean and bright with a balcony. The hotel is a short walk to the harbor and close to restaurants and shopping. The no. 1 bus stop was just a short walk away. Don't miss staying at this hotel if you are planning a trip to Reykjavik.

Charming hotel with lovely staff in a great area by the parliament, but try to get a top floor room as you can hear people stomping around above you at all hours of the night. We got the biggest room (there are two so ask for the higher one “Björk”). The church bells ring all night every 15 minutes, so if you’re a light sleeper that might bother you. Our room was charming but the bedrooms are cramped, and the shower was in one bedroom and the loo is right next to the kitchenette. No big deal, but if you’re two couples it might be a drag. The other “biggest room” above has one bathroom with shower and toilet together. Still, it’s a sweet hotel and everyone is so nice and helpful and went out of their way for us.

We had such a wonderful time staying here. The 2 rooms we had (the bigger room) were spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff were an absolute pleasure to meet and very helpful with all their suggestions.

Everything was good except for the sleep quality . There is church bell that rings every hour throughout the night ! My goodness . I got woken up 2-3 times at night because of the bell . We stayed in the bigger and there is sofa bed which was comfortable . Breakfast was good but had no hot food like scramble eggs . The parking in front of hotel seems to be free after 9pm so just pay until 9pm . If not for the church bell disturbing my sleep it would have been perfect stay.

This stylish hotel was the best choice for our stay after few days track in the mountains - warm welcome with a fab bar for the hotel quests next door (in the same building), friendly staff ready to help in every way, flexible in our demand for the check-in one day eailier. Clean and cosy place, we have found everything we needed :) well assorted breakfast and a perfect base for exploring the city. Our full recommendation *

We recently stayed at the Kvosin Downtown Hotel in Reykjavik Iceland. It was a delight and everything we wanted. It is central to the city, beautifully appointed with a modern, elegant Scandanavian style. We had a small kitchenette, a desk, plenty of space for our needs. It is situated close to the heart of town, beside the Parliament building and across from the first cathedral in Iceland. One block away was the start of many restaurants and shops, and close to all the features we wanted to see.||We particularly appreciated the help from the reception staff, given with a small and chat at all times. They helped me understand the heating and lighting in the room, gave ideas for good things to see, find our way to particular destinations, and best of all booked our bus back to the airport. It is some time since we travelled and we are now in our 70s and 80s so the support was unquestioning and so generous. There was also hot coffee in the foyer whenever we wanted it. I would return there in a flash if it wasn't so far from Australia.
