"Kotti Berliner Döner Kebab serves slow-roasted meat cooked on a rotisserie that’s stuffed into fluffy pide bread full of air pockets. Their Turkish-style sandwiches, loaded with juicy chicken, crispy pickled vegetables, a lemony yogurt sauce, and a spicy harissa-based sauce, deserve your full attention, have so many different textures, and cost under $15. This is one of the best things you can eat in the whole building." - carlo mantuano, will hartman

one of the worst food experiences i've had while living here. i'm 90% sure i received the wrong item, but did not have time to dispute. the meat was well seasoned but tough to chew. i ordered the kebab cone and received a sandwich the size of my hand for $13...gone in 3 bites. probably worth half as much as i paid. never coming back!

This place is great! First of all, the staff is super kind and helpful, it was my first time stopping at this kiosk in the Essex Market and the cashier was great help in guiding me through my decision! I just wanted to try a little taste, so I got the Taco. $6 and some change, it was worth it to really taste the flavors. In any choice between taco to wrap to bowl all toppings are included! The flavors were vibrant and savory. I really recommend giving this place a try! I know I’ll come back for something more than a taco next time!

If you’re craving an authentic Döner, Berlin Döner Kebap at Essex Market is a must-try! As someone who grew up in Germany, I’ve missed the taste of a proper turkish Döner, and this is the first place in the U.S. that truly gets it right. The flavors are spot on. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought into making it as authentic as possible. Whether you’re familiar with Döner or trying it for the first time, you won’t be disappointed.

I recently tried the kebab from Kotti Berliner Kebab and it was a fantastic experience! The meat was perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. The veggies added a nice crunch, and the sauce brought everything together beautifully. The pita was warm. The staff was friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Highly recommend to any kebab lover!

Atmosphere and service is okay, however the food is just not it. I got chicken döner and the meat is not even döner to start with. It’s literally just pieces of chicken breast. When it comes to toppings, they directed me to tell them what I “don’t want” which made me think I should get most of them. It made the sandwich very wet and I got no chicken taste at all (maybe it was good that I didn’t taste the chicken tbh). Very disappointing.

Had the wrap kebab with roasted tofu and substituted the feta cheese and white sauce with the vegan white sauce ! The wrap was flavourful and the tofu was perfectly marinated. Hope to see more vegan options in the future here !
