Kono's Cafe

I got a Mexi Burger and it was very good. I'm a burger fan so I try burger the first time at any restaurant and I think their burger was very simple but very unique and tasty. Fresh meat, fresh material, and great combination of jalapeño and avocado added to the journey! I will definitively come back and try to discover and enjoy more in their burger. My wife got a number 4 breakfast burrito with ham and she was very impressed too. Also the price is very very reasonable and affordable for what they offer.

Went to Konos right at opening this am based on recommendations and the gentleman at the front was so kind and helpful. We came a little early and got a coffee from their coffee stand - vanilla latte was delicious. Headed back and got breakfast burrito #3 and were SHOCKED at how big they were. We were even happier when we realized they had beach side patio seating so we could watch the surfers. The staff was truly so kind and welcoming, food was amazing and views were unbeatable.

My friend and I ordered a simple breakfast that consisted of French toast, scrambled eggs topped with veggies, and bacon. Then, we ordered a delicious coffee from the little stand outside next to the cafe. We had our breakfast outside watching the waves, across the cafe there is a small shop and behind it are chairs and tables with the view of the ocean. If you are in the area, you must stop by. The breakfast was good!

Very good food. Nice coffee. Very kindly staff. The best brunch cafe in San Diego. But not easy parking.

Kono’s Cafe is a small convenient cafe. Very much so a surfer/beach vibe with its close proximity to Mission Beach. Though their menu is small, their dishes pack a punch of flavor. I ordered the Big Breakfast #1, which there was no way I was finishing everything. It was the best breakfast I’ve had in a while. I’m pancakes were cooked to perfection and light and airy, Kono’s potatoes are these crispy, warm potatoes covered in cheese and green onions (similar to creek fries!), and eggs your way, which I was too interested in the pancakes and potatoes to really touch those. You also get an English muffin and bacon, but I didn’t even need those. Very, very good and I’m sad I don’t have the option to eat their breakfast in Ohio. Highly, highly recommend for breakfast at any point in the day as they serve breakfast all day during operating hours!

Great food, large portions, friendly staff, and affordable prices! Great options for kids. The breakfast burrito was so good, and the pancakes were great, too! Also has a great coffee shop. Highly recommended!!

Breakfast burritos were absolutely great. I had the number five and it was the perfect 11 o’clock meal, overlooking the surfers on Pacific Beach. The coffee shop next-door makes an incredible Mexican mocha as well as a fantastic drip. Definitely recommended.

The Big Breakfast #1 was huge! I will take some for leftovers and usually eat a lot. Delicious too and friendly service and nice prices
