Koji Katsu

The quality of the food is commendable, with the curry sauce being particularly exceptional. The katsu is prepared excellently, featuring a moist interior and a crispy exterior. The establishment is relatively small, making it challenging to secure a seat during peak dining hours. The staff members exhibit a lack of friendliness, engaging in minimal conversation. There is no greeting upon entry, and they do not smile, do not make eye contact, this creating an atmosphere that suggests patrons are merely expected to eat and leave.

Saw the recommendation on Eater and it is definitely spot on! This food was amazing! We loved the depth of the curry flavor and the crunchy katsu chicken and pork you could tell were super high quality and prepared with expertise. We sampled a variety from the chicken, pork, cheese and shrimp - it was delicious. One of 2 places we ate during our short visit in Calgary - totally worth it.

This is great place, one of my favorites in downtown! The dishes always taste great, the portions are huge. Very clean and cosy atmosphere inside the cafe. My favorite is Terejaki with pork and shrimps. I also love that delicious souse they serve when ordering salad. Definitely recommend!

A very small restaurant with limited seats, simple menu , ordered a Ebi (prawns) Katsu set and a koji katsu bowl (chicken) . They were delicious and fulfilling! Couldn’t finished it and service was great! 👍🏻 one of the best Katsu in Calgary. Definitely will visit again!

Food so good. Very affordable price and big portion compared to other places downtown. Highly recommend for everyone who’s in love with Katsu.

As patrons of Koji since 2020, we’ve been around for a couple of their menu changes and have never once been disappointed with our food or experience. Easily our favourite katsu shop in the city. The owner takes a lot of pride in the food quality and presentation of the dishes here, and it really shows! I highly recommend trying the curry sauce, katsudons, chicken katsu (how is it so moist??), and cheese katsu! Just thinking about their food makes my mouth water. Their current menu might be the best they’ve had so far!

They serve one of the best katsu in the city!!! Love this place! its a bit small inside but the food is really good!
