"The Don't-Miss San Sebastián Coffee Spot This is the neighborhood spot for the entire town of San Sebastián under the age of 40. Whether it's an 8 o'clock shot of espresso, a mid-morning toast with tomato and olive oil, or a beer at 7pm, this place is always hopping with people. It's the perfect place for conversation, people-watching, and Wi-Fi. Their toast and their homemade cakes are outstanding."

Very good and affordable breakfast/brunch options (including vegetarian) which warm the soul and the body on a rainy late-summer day. Definitely recommend!

Google
Nice little gem with quality products and friendly service!

Google
Rating this as a place to work: music is quiet, there are lots of plugs, and there are maybe 3 tables that are good for laptops. Free Wi-Fi but it wasnt high quality, my internet cut out once. The zumo was awesome, and they serve it in a gigantic cup. Open to the outdoors so lots of fresh air.

Google
Very nice breakfast. They have vegan milk options available (which can be hard to find elsewhere).

Google
Finally found cafe bombon here after visiting at least 5 other cafés in San Sebastian but they didn't do the famous Spanish coffee! We only had the cafe bombon here but they were delicious and the girl who served us was friendly.

Google
Loooove this cafe! Such a cool atmosphere, beautiful coffee and lovely simple breakfasts. We ordered fruit salad and yoghurt.

Google
Cozy, little cafe with outdoor, indoor and upstairs seating. Really relaxed atmosphere that invites visitors to unwind and disconnect from technology, but there is free WiFi, too, if you want to get some work done or browse. Black milk tea and a pastry came to €4.40.

Great atmosphere and our doggo was warmly welcome in this cute café! Coffee was also great.

Yelp
We found this nice quick little spot for breakfast. Everything was delicious and what we needed before a day of sightseeing. Friendly service. Hope to go back to San Sebastián soon

Yelp
Great coffee and ambiance. Plenty of seating with 2 levels of seating inside as well as outdoor seating that overlooks the square surrounding Hotel Maria Cristina. Prices are good and they have small bites to eat. They serve drinks as well with a happy hour Mon-Thurs 5pm to 7pm with beer for €2 and spirits for €3.50.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in an out of the way street. They have a pretty spacious interior with plenty of seating and a few tables set up on the sidewalk. I got a moka negra, the bottom is basically a layer of chocolate. So good! Not very strong coffee flavor, but that's how I like it. BEWARE: €10 MINIMUM CREDIT CARD SPEND. Unfortunately, we did not realize this so we ended up having to buy some bottled waters and a cookie in order to use our credit card. The cookie was a little dry, reminiscent of biscotti but paired well with the coffee.

Yelp
Nice, cozy coffee shop where you can get some good coffee and some breakfast items. The tortilla de patatas is not great, kinda dry actually since it's not made to order. The tostada with tomatoes and ibérico ham was excellent though and pretty good size; you get two pieces per order and you may ask for white or wheat bread.

Yelp
Wow! Fantastic coffee. Thanks to other Yelpers, popped in here to order a pair of Karajillos (4,20 € each) one black, one with milk, both with rum. They know how to do coffee and the place has a fantastic vibe with plenty of seating. Despite them burning off the alcohol earlier, my coffee had a strong kick that had me brave enough to climb a mountain after. Don't want coffee? Good German Munich beer available (Franziskaner spotted) and other beers on tap as well. Order @ the bar, pay when served and grab a seat!

Yelp
If you're lucky enough to spend a beautiful day in San Sebastián, this is the eclectic type of hipster-heavy bohemian cafe that you either hope to find as salvation or resign yourself to in a depressed state after a long day climbing up Monte Urgull and winding around the Old Town (Parte Zaharra) and strolling more leisurely in the Gros district. Fortunately it turned out to be the former, as this was the second recommendation I decided to take from the Vagabrothers, a self-absorbed pair of YouTube-addicted travel junkies who sometimes know what they're talking about, this being one of those fortunate instances. Still energized by the youthful vigor of the area despite all the walking we did, Jamie W. and I were feeling a tad parched in the late afternoon but definitely not hungry enough to devour any pinxtos any time soon. Just a couple of blocks away from Parte Zaharra, this café has a relaxing vibe the moment you step in and see all the age-worn wooden furniture and the blow-up of the Asian child on the red brick wall (photo: http://bit.ly/2h9uIpk). There was hardly anyone in here, and even the barista was nowhere to be found for a few minutes. We simply browsed all the olives (photo: http://bit.ly/2hi7G3w) and baked goods that were out in the full open and ready to be devoured (photo: http://bit.ly/2iDgSMf). Not by us though as our American germophobic sensibilities kept questioning the lack of a sneeze guard. We were simply in the mood for Jamie's new addiction, the 1.60€ Kafe kon Lekte, which was smooth and piping hot (photo: http://bit.ly/2hiTY0l). Sitting on the couches next to the front window, we had time to reflect upon the beauty of this region and the laid-back hospitality of its inhabitants. A total chill zone. COFFEE - 4 stars...just the balm we needed at the right time AMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...the interior is way cool and chill SERVICE - 3.5 stars...once the barista kicked into gear, things were fine TOTAL - 4 stars...a pit stop that fits the relaxing yet funky vibe that is San Sebastián

Yelp
I am a coffee snob and always in search of great coffee shops around the world. When I was in San Sebastian/Donostia a couple of years ago, this was my go-to coffee shop both day and night. It has a Chinese theme going, but don't let that detract from you because the coffee and chocolate specialty drinks are primo. This would be considered a hipster place and that's okay, if done right. Get there early if you plan to hang out and chill otherwise you may be without a seat.

Yelp
A friend of ours in San Sebastian told us about Koh Tao knowing our love of cafe culture and delicious Cortados. Koh Tao has a laid back vibe and is a haven for hipsters. They have a variety of drinks which include coffee, smoothies, and alcohol in the evenings as it turns into a bar at night. They serve some pastries and toast with jam in the mornings and around 11 a.m. or so, bring out a Tortilla de Patatas and some small sandwiches with Jamon. The Cortados are a tad milky but tasty nonetheless and it's nice to sit back with a cup and people watch. Service is friendly. Recommended.

Yelp
While I don't drink coffee, I do drink wine, and great wine for 2 EUR each is hard to beat. Combine this with a little snack from the bar and you're in for a great place to hang out for a few hours!

Sandie B.

Yelp
Cozy ambiance, great place to pop in for a cafe. The service is friendly and there's a tortilla and huge bowl of olives on the counter that I totally missed until we were leaving. My latte was okay. The mocha was a bit too sweet.

Yelp
An awesome little coffee shop with small snacks to keep hunger at bay. The coffee I had here was one of the best I've had in Spain and the tosta was great too. Some say this place has a hipster feel to it, but I think it's just a cafe that serves up good quality coffee & snacks in a comfortable environment. If that means hipster, OK. Wifi here is incredible fast. When I tested, it was 20mbit download and about 10mbit upload. Bring a laptop and upload some videos...

Marilyn T.

Yelp
This was the first place where I could not read the menu since it was all in Basque. Still, we were able to figure out what we wanted. The cortado seems to be what everyone gets here, and for good reason. That, an iced coffee, and an iberico bocadillo were only €4.90! The tortilla also looked amazing, but we were about to go to a big lunch, so we couldn't try it. They have tables inside and out, and they have free wifi.

Yelp
This is a great little coffee shop for taking a little break in the afternoon and chill with the scenery. We stopped to warm up with a cup of carajillo, an espresso shot with rum or whiskey (I'm sure you can use other type of spirit). The rum was flambé for a while in front of us, which allows to burn the alcohol and accentuate the flavors in the spirit. Then, pour the coffee and a bit of sugar and the product is an amazing warm up drink. Service was very attentive and friendly. Definitely a nice spot to see and be seen.

Yelp
I come here everyday when visiting. Friendly, they are patient with English speakers, and everything is delicious!

Michael S.

Yelp
This place was so homely and friendly. I loved the assorted chairs and tables. The food was fantastic. I really enjoyed the staple bread and tomatoes and a cup of cappuccino. The servers were funny and respectful. I would definitely go here again.

Julie N.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop. I had a delicious cafe con leche and yummy toast. Would recommend.

Chris P.

Yelp
Amazing little cafe nestled in the tiny streets of San Sebastian. Get here before the crowds of tourists from the nearby hotel get in. Order the cappuccino with a side of jamon. Fresh squeezed orange juice also provides a great decaf alternative for this cozy cafe with a very hip vibe.

Jen K.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in San Sebastian. Friendly workers who speak little to almost no English, but why would they speak English? You're in San Sebastian Spain! What's really nice about this place is you can get some great coffee and some real food...not just pastries. I bravely took my limited Asian American Spanish up to the counter and ordered a Kafe Letxe cuz that's the only thing I could make out as coffee and probably milk. I wanted food, saw there were several items on the food menu, but only one item contained the word "jamon", so I ordered it. I'm like a child in Spain and jamon is both the only word I can read&write and happens to be my new most favorite thing in the world. It was a delicious combo that had jamon in it...that's all that matters. I enjoyed sitting in this cool little coffee shop surrounded by strangers I couldn't understand. It was peaceful. Then, other Asians from America came in and that peace was gone. Thankfully they drank, ate, spoke that stupid American English quickly and left. The peace returned.

Yelp
This place was located just across the street from the Maria Cristina so the wife and I decided to check it out. Read the reviews and yes, the place is totally hipster, but they served some pretty darn tasty coffee and had some good home made carrot cake. Would definitely check this place out again!

Mario R.

Yelp
Too bad we found this place on our last day. Loved the different spaces, all with a bohemian, bric-o-brac aesthetic. The breakfast options were delicious, notably the pan con tomate, one of my favorite Spanish breakfast dishes, done expertly well here with several options of fresh bread for the tostada. The café con leche was one of the best we had during our stay in SS. Best of all was the friendly staff who chatted with us about their favorite aspects of SS/Donostia, which they said is best enjoyed in the summer. Hoping we get to come back here to experience it firsthand, and if so, we will definitely start our days here.

Gar B.

Yelp
Nice spot for beer or coffee - free wifi, decent coffee and some cakes, what more could you ask for. The cafe is mostly occupied by tourists lounging around, but it's a nice break from the pinxtos bars!

Tammy K.

Yelp
San Sebastian is not exactly the best place for a coffee snob, but this coffee shop passed the test for me (wannabe coffee snob) and is probably the best you'll get in the city. Extra points to the baristas for drizzling pretty chocolate art on top of drinks (told you I was a wannabe).

Charlie U.

Yelp
Cozy little coffee shop with great prices and also free wifi. The espresso and latté were perfect and we will be back for sure!

Mark J.

Yelp
when one finds a great place to take a coffee, one feel reluctant to share as to not change the atmosphere, but when one finds one this good with a great mixture of customers and a warm welcoming it's a must to shout about it! my wife and I have been here every day of our holiday as a relaxed awakening.

C C.

Yelp
this is a cozy place to get a coffee and escape the rain. The fruit juices here are really nice too.
