From the moment you walk down the red-lit hallway into the underground world of Kittyhawk, you know you're in for something special. The space is moody and atmospheric, with dimmed lighting and a buzzing energy that perfectly sets the tone for the night. The waitstaff were attentive without being overbearing, friendly, fast, and knowledgeable about the menu. Speaking of the menu, the food was absolutely on point. The standout for me was the carrot dish, proof that simple ingredients, when done well, can be unforgettable. Every bite was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The drinks list is extensive and impressive, with something for every palate. Whether you're into classic cocktails or more adventurous sips, you'll find plenty to love. Yes, it gets loud when the DJ starts spinning, but the vibe is electric and the music is curated perfectly. It’s never too loud to hold a conversation, just loud enough to make you want to stay longer, order another drink, and soak it all in. Highly recommend for a night out with friends or a cool date spot. Kittyhawk nails it.

We loved it! Went with some gfs and we have a really good time. DJ keeps playing really good hiphop tunes from the 90s and honestly the food was amazing too. Ps: there's a disco light room in the girls bathrooms.

Kittyhawk is such an exciting place to host your wedding. Bobby and I have have been working as wedding photographers together for over a decade and we couldn't get over the energy that Kittyhawk infuses into a wedding celebration. The venue has an exuberant heartbeat which filters through into the mood of the entire celebration. There's an abundance of hotels close by for you and your parter to get ready at and Kittyhawk itself has the space to host both your ceremony and reception all under the same roof. There's a plethora of locations all within walking distance for your portraits which means you will back celebrating with your guests before you know it. Fiona, Jason and the rest of the Kittyhawk team will look after you so well in the lead up to the day. If you are looking for a space that several buckets worth of personality and is close to so many facilities for your day, then this will definitely tickle your fancy.

Nice staff, great atmosphere. Drinks were amazing. We had whisky cocktails most of the night and they were consistently awesome, pretty much flawless. Will come here again to try the food to complete the experience.

The Officers' Mess at Kittyhawk was the perfect venue for my 1940s themed 40th. Events manager Fiona was a dream to work with, very responsive and helpful whenever I got stuck. On the night, Paris and thet team took excellent care of us all. All my guests commented on the excellent food and the fabulous venue. I would absolutely book with them again.

Im a prawn addict. And this place serves one of the best prawn in sydney for only $15 that I had to put a second order. As an asian i just wanted to eat the whole thing on the plate with my bare hands. The pasta also very yummy and cant forget about the lemon tart. And of course on top cocktails *cant remember what we ordered but something with coconut and lemon soda. Will be back just for the prawn for sure

We booked a table for a bday -8pp and asked to extend our time since the place wasn’t busy. The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional, he didn’t offer any option for us to stay, even though we’re a group of 8 all actively ordering. We ended up moving to another bar where we spent the rest of the night. The venue has potential, but the poor hospitality really ruined the experience.

We cannot recommend KittyHawk and the team there enough! We had our wedding ceremony and reception, and everything was so well done. The staff were friendly and service was exceptional. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were a big hit. A massive thanks to Fiona the events manager who was so easy to work with and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. We will definitely be coming back soon to relive the moment!

Yelp
Great choice to catch up for some drinks. Cocktails were fantastic. They do have a bar menu with some nibbles and a full dinner menu too. I would recommend the place for nibbles and cocktails!

Yelp
Located right below a huge office building so as expected a lot of professionals around. Low lighting, wooden furnishing everywhere, and very loud as it gets quite busy. Bunch of cocktails you can choose from, it's quite a wide selection. Tommy Hellfire was really, really sour. Spiciness was ok but sourness was too overpowering and everything died in comparison. Most of the food on the menu were like pub eats, chips, roasts etc. Pie was kind of small but it tasted great. Had a complex flavour, different to the usual basic pies you can get from anywhere. Thus it was pretty pricey for a pie, especially given the size, but then again it's somewhat expected from a place like this. The chips were amazing. Cooked in truffle oil with parmesan and sage.

Yelp
Drink: perfect; Food: bad; Service: okay I had the tommy hellfire to drink which was exactly what it promised, spicy! Almost too much for a drink but just pushing it right. I had the mushroom galette to eat which had no middle ground for temperature. Came out scalding hot (great) but once it was cool enough to eat the cheese tasted odd...no other way to put it, but I was worried I was going to be ill. Service was quick enough, but I was given a card, which I thought was to old in place of my credit card but then she gave me my credit card back. I swear she said to go to the bar to check out, but then was confused when I was up there. Handed the card back and she was confused again. No idea what it was for. Just said Kittyhawk and a number. Really dark inside, almost too much because I could hardly see my food. I'd come back just to drink.

Yelp
Ambience of a cool kids club with booths and table service by fabulous Chloe. Try the Masu or Phillip Lane. Bring your Tinder date or your girlfriends for a great night out.

Yelp
The bar and the bar staff are brilliant. I would have given this place 5 stars except the manager came over to our group of 20+ and said we were too loud with slightly light on the charm. Too loud? Wtaf? This is a BAR FFS! We weren't drinking water the whole time. We ordered food and drinks and had booked our table in advance from 4pm for a going away party. The moment it turned for me was when the floor manager asked us to "keep it down because someone had complained" we had gone "woo" when our friend who was leaving her job had her picture taken. I was offended and I certainly won't rush back to Kittyhawk ever again.

Yelp
What an impressive little bar! I love dropping in after work as it's very close to my building. Come for the wine, stay for the authentic French food. In particular, the tartiflette is rich, creamy and moreish, just the way they make it in France. Classy, sophisticated but never pretentious, Kittyhawk is a hidden gem

Yelp
A new entrant in Sydney's retro cocktail bar scene. Kittyhawk gives the vibe and look of US 1940s bars. Dark wood, a long sit at bar, standing room and lots of tables ( table service charges). Looks great and waitstaff dressed to keep the 40s idea going. Good news so far. Substantial menu of in house cocktail creations all round $ 19 and the usual Aussie microserving of booze. The Monte Carlo and Tanqeray martini were pleasing but small. For food we selected fries, prawns en croute and charcuterie plate. Cocktails arrived pronto but the charcuterie plate came as a rhum baba and was sent back amid confusion by the staff. The servings were tinyteeny and bland. Long wait for the charcuterie and a busboy took away all the set-ups meanwhile ! Arrival of charcuterie then a wait for more set ups. Summary: great looking venue, tasty but small cocktails with confused service and barely OK food. Style triumphs over substance again in Sydney. The bottom line: 5 people had 9 micro size cocktails with 3 dishes equals $ 220. That money didn't compute for what was had. My rating 40/100.

Yelp
Fantastic atmosphere! Went with a friend on a Thursday night and it was buzzing! We only waited about 10 minutes for a table which was a pleasant surprise. The drinks list is extensive - the food menu not so much but cleverly crafted. We had the scotch eggs (OK), mussel tart (unreal) and onion soup sticks (melt in your mouth!)
