Say what you will about this place, the rice bowl is legit great. There are no doubt a ton of tourists, but not just foreigners, also many local Japanese tourists. And the beef is so good one is not enough. I ended up having 2x bowls in one sitting. It opens at 6am, but I think the best time to go would be about 7am because there are always people waiting for it to open, but then after the first wave, it quiets down a bit until the next wave. So 7am is perfect timing.

I recently visited this food stall known for its amazing beef bowl, and despite the long wait, the experience was well worth it. The line was quite lengthy, but I was impressed by how quickly and efficiently the staff managed the flow of customers. They seemed to have a system in place that kept things moving smoothly, making the wait feel shorter than it was. When I finally got my beef bowl, it exceeded my expectations. The beef was tender and flavorful, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The rice was fluffy, and I added the egg for extra flavor (great choice on my end). Overall, the combination of great food and efficient service made the wait worthwhile. If you’re in the area, this beef bowl is a must-try!

I left my hotel at 6am just to get to this place early. But as you can see, by 6:15am there was already a line. Once service started the line moved fast and I had by beef bowl by 6:30am. It may just be me, or maybe it was too early in the morning for my tastebuds. I expected more flavor from this dish. It was good, but I think I built myself up to expect more. Still a Good experience for 800yen.

first time trying, the long queue means nothing because the staff efficiently managed the queue and our orders were taken within 5mins. upon ordering, your food is ready within the minute, and surely there will be counter seats available or standing ones. The beef was amazingly well cooked, moist and so flavourful. paired together with Japanese rice which was also well cooked, it got me craving for more……which I returned for another round an hour later to go for another bowl.🤣 really amazing gyudon for 900yen, definitely recommended and a must try!!

Best thing we had a Tsukiji market, hands down. I was already very stuffed when we had this so thought I’d just have a little bit - but boy was it good! The meat was very tender and the stew/gravy soaked rice was just delicious. There was quite a long line but it moved pretty quickly. We waited for ~10 mins. Worth it.

We went there at around 1000 yesterday the queue was super long so decided to come earlier at another time. We went back at 0630 today. There was already a queue; we soldiered on as leaving Japan tomorrow. We took away several orders as our Hotel is just a minute walk away. Food was OK. Staff, as expected in any establishment in Japan, are nice. I noticed a lot of customers ordering beer this early in the morning. Whatever rock your boat I guess.
