"Kiin Thai Viet Eatery Wood and ferns, creping vines, and abundant natural light abound in this new outing from the owners of Galanga Thai Kitchen. The menu features Thai classics like tom kha gai soup and green papaya salad, as well as Vietnamese favorites like rice noodles and beef broth with galangal ginger and lemongrass, pok-pok wings, and bahn mi. The gastronomy is notable not just for proven comforts, or even because of freshly harvested ingredients from the garden they maintain in the town of Hidalgo, Morelos; you’ve also got Chef Somri “Anna” Raksamra’s hand when it comes to seasonings. Start out with chicken, beef, pork, and shrimp skewers that you charcoal-roast on a colorful, open-air cart (an homage to food carts that abound along Thai streets). For dessert you’ve got a sweet potato tart—something you won’t find anyplace, anywhere in Mexico City ."

What a waste of time and money! The traditional Pho soup was with no flavor. I had to add soy sauce, but it didn’t help. By no means it’s an 18-hour broth as promised in the menu. Grilled shrimps were in shells: hard to peel and hard to eat as inside they were almost raw. Never again. There are much MUCH better places serving Asian food in CDMX. I wish I would go to Somaa next door with excellent reviews! Just found out about them.

If you are looking for truly Asian food, this place is good. Multiple options and portions are quite decent, and you can pick different proteins for any dish. Many good options for drinks. While tasting, you can feel a lot of flavors, typically found only on this type of cuisine. Price is OK, considering the portion size and flavor. Staff is very friendly and professional. Depending on the day and time, reservation in advance is best.

Very disappointing. My fiance and I were looking for some good Thai food and stopped here based on reviews. The place itself was super cute! The food was very well presented. I ordered the Moo Grob Prick Khing, and I'm sorry to say that it was an overpriced mound of rice with a fried egg, some green beans and a few pieces of chicken. It was terribly dry and lacking flavor. I asked for some salsa picante, and used the entire small bowl on the rice. It helped a bit, but not enough. My fiance ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp. It was also very overpriced, and came with just 4 shrimp. It was so syrupy sweet and also very disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to go!

A very unassuming restaurant with better than average Thai and Vietnamese food but definitely on the pricier end of the scale. My rating is low because the service we received was pretty bad considering the pricing of the restaurant and the area. Food and drinks took a long time and our waiter wasn't that friendly. The food was good but nothing out of this world. Pricing was somewhat higher than what you'd expect but it's probably imported. If you're jonesing for some expensive Asian food, this is the place for you.

I had the grilled calamari appetizer and the pad see ew with beef for a main. First, the appetizer arrived 5 mins after my main course, which was odd. The pad see ew had big pieces of carrot in it, which made the entire dish taste of carrot, which was not very appetizing. I’ve also never had a Pad See Ew with big chunks of carrot like that before. The crushed peanuts tasted stale and the beef tasted freezer burnt. The calamari did not have the char on it that I was expecting which made the texture questionable. It also arrived to the table cold. I waited 10 mins after asking to get my food boxed up and my bill. I had high hopes for this place because the decor is adorable and the ambiance is fantastic, but sadly, it disappointed on many levels.

I am always looking for good Thai and Asian fusion restaurants and this place did not disappoint! The food was so delicious and service was good. My husband and I had the pad Thai and another shrimp dish (I don’t remember the name) both were very tasty. We are excited to return.

I did not have high expectations for this place going in, but I had one of the best meals in recent weeks here. The spring rolls, Bunn Mi sandwich, steamed buns and the accompanying sauces are on par with some of the best Vietnamese I had before. The only area for improvement are maybe samosas which are great inside but a bit dry outside. Could use some nice salsa to pair with it, but otherwise it’s great.
