Raw Crab. Delicious. Worth a try. Save up. Beef stew. Can be more tender. Flavour on point. Side dishes unique. Some interesting palate cleansers especially yuzu white fungus.

The soy sauce crabs are really something not to be missed out !! Have to queue even on weekdays afternoon for lunch, but all worthwhile. Very fresh and yummy!

We went on Saturday, 45 minutes before open for dinner. Dinner starts at 5:30pm. We were in the number 1 in the line. We had marinated crab mixed with rice that highly recommended for people who have concerns eating raw seafood. We also had boiled pork leg and wild mushrooms soup! All dishes were great. After we left, the line was long outside! So come early if you don’t want to wait in the line. They take credit cards:)

We waited 45min on a Saturday night, lots of tourists but not a tourist trap. The marinated crabs were great - the gochuajng ones not so much, wayyy too much sauce. Bossam was great as well, not too fatty. Side dishes were great for the most part. Had better banchang elsewhere in Seoul. Everything was great but not impressive. Not sure if I’d return if there’s a line.

Must try if you are visiting Seoul and want to taste local foods. But you need to be brave enough to try raw crap. The crap was very fresh, with a lot of crap roe. The soy sauce was not very strong.. it did not cover the fresh taste of the raw crap meat and roe. The serving was a little bit too big for one person. I waited about half an hour to be seated for lunch.

Service is quick but stays out of your way, they get busy so you may have to call them over. Food is great - the blue crab is juicy and cold, savory and spicy versions. The fermented skate, pork slices and more local delicacies are an excellent sampling of food. They were in the 2017/18 Michelin guide and an excellent place to grab food. They do get very busy, though, a long line of folks waiting outside, so come early if you can to get a seat. I don't think they take reservations.

If you order the bibimbap, you will not taste the raw crab if you order the bibimbap because the sesame oil will overwhelm it. This visit, the crab is very meaty and a lot of roe. The highlight this visit was the wild pine mushroom soup. Pine mushroom a.k.a. matsutake mushroom has similar health properties as morel mushroom with additional anti-inflamatory and anti-cancer properties. The pine mushroom gives the soup a woody taste, together makes the soup real good. It taste so good and i highly recommend it. Do not order the skate if you are ready for some extreme taste (see my picture from the owner). The young waiter speaks english, chinese and cantonese. The queue now starts outside and no reservation at all. If you want to eat, join the queue.

Once opened the the seating was quick. : the side dishes were very good: pickle squid, snow ear, etc The crab bibimbop rice was tender and soft. The ginseng beef stew the soup was good but the beef is dry. I am not sure is something I would come back and said is must eat. Afterward I was quite thirsty so might have lots of salt or some MSG.
