We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with a large group. It was amazing. Nancy was so helpful and patient with all of us. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, the staff were amazing, the kids enjoyed the outside space; we will definitely be back!

The food was great. I had the daily specials of the Italian toasted cheese sandwich and the potato soup. Both were excellent. My wife chose the pork belly banh mi. Good, but her pork belly was a little over charred. Service was friendly and efficient. They have inside and outside seating.

Worth the trip! Take the boat ride over to Kelly’s Island, jump on a golf and enjoy. We had Nick as our server, who was friendly, hard working and top notch customer service! The grounds are cool…Goats, chickens, ice cream and a kids playground. The food was great…Fresh, delicious and tasty. The kids loved the chips and fresh fruit. The pizza was perfect for the kids. The burger and salmon sandwich was solid! The ocean flatbread comes crab and lobster(loved it). The berry salad is so delicious with blue berries and strawberries. The drinks were okay-Cheers! Very cool chill location, will be back.

This was the first time I've been to Kelley's Island Wine Co and I went with my daughter and her boyfriend. It was a Saturday and it was busy so we did self service where you order inside and get a pager that alerts you when your food is done. We had no wait to be seated when arriving however it started getting busy quickly. The food was good and they had gluten free options for my daughter which is a huge plus! Bonus points for that! The wine was good for local wine. What my daughter chose was sweeter than I'd normally drink so I can't speak to the wine although my daughter and her boyfriend really enjoyed it. It's a nice atmosphere and friendly employees.

Visited the Kelley’s Island Wine Co. while looking for a water bottle. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. I will be back to get some good food. Got a few shirts and 2024 Solar Eclipse items.

Feels like you’re on a family farm. Great food and wine. We had the King of the Ocean flatbread, which had lobster, shrimp, with a buttery topping. We also had a wine flight; the Coyote White was our favorite. Server was very kind. Dog friendly.

This was our second choice to eat on Kelly's Island, but it was spectacular. Excellent food and wine. They have a specialty menu with unique selections for cocktails and sandwiches. We didn't have to wait for water or drinks and were able to ask our server questions about the island.

Kelley's Island Winery is a paradise for wine enthusiasts! Nestled in the heart of the island, this winery offers an unparalleled experience. The wine selection is extensive, with something to please every palate. From crisp whites to robust reds, each sip is a delight. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate, eager to guide you through tastings and share their expertise. The scenic vineyard views make for a truly picturesque setting, perfect for a relaxing afternoon or a romantic evening. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or a casual enthusiast, a visit to Kelley's Island Winery is a must-do experience!

Cindi R.

Yelp
Just as I remember it. I enjoyed my wine flight selection and the calming ambiance. Staff was friendly probably college kids and not the official wine connoisseurs. The site also housed a cantina and a milk shake truck that advertised 30 flavors.

Gillian S.

Yelp
Beautiful place to sit outside and eat, especially in a sunny day!! I came here with some of my friends for a fun, outdoor lunch!! The outside area is so nice and spacious, there's plants/greenery everywhere to enjoy! Most of the time there's even free live music going on you get to listen to! For appetizers, we got a flatbread and hummus to share! Pizza is always a good choice, and this didn't not disappoint (even on a hot day)! The hummus though... AMAZING! very refreshing and the flavors worked so well with each other and the pita it comes with! My friends all got the Pesto Grilled Cheese (came with fries) - they said it was delicious and not over garlicy! I got the salmon burger (with fries and a pickle) and it was perfect!!! I recommended keeping the sauce and onion on it as it makes the dish! The fries are so good and crispy!!! You don't even need a sauce to dip them in!! Next time you're up at Kelley's definitely give this place a try!!!

Yelp
Great place to have a relaxing dinner with kids. They have many seating options from inside the restaurant to self serve outside. A little confusing at first but the host did a great job explaining. They actually have two food options. The winery menu or there is a taco restaurant on the same premise. It was great being able to enjoy the time waiting for dinner because they have a play area for kids, plus chickens and goats for them to visit. The kids played on the playground and popped in to eat their pizza. It was great because it allowed the adults to talk and have an enjoyable time. Food all seemed homemade too. We tried some of the specials of the pig roast. The kids had a pizza. Lots of parking and not far from downtown.

John M.

Yelp
Glad to see the Kelleys Island wWnery still going strong. They've added a lot over the years, now have several nice shaded seating areas both under trees and a couple of pavilions. They also now have a margarita cantina for those who don't like the sweet island wine and they have an ice cream food truck too for the kids. As always a great stop on our summer tour of the island.

Fabiola G.

Yelp
Such a nice place and delicious food! The whipped feta is a cold dish very good and slightly sweet! The pickle pizza is a favorite! The bahn mi and poke salad are delicious as well!

Melissa J.

Yelp
A little too family friendly for my liking. When I think winery I want a simple menu and great pours. Don't get me wrong the sangria is great and the pizzas were fantastic but the jungle gym in the background is more than I bargained for.

Reyana B.

Yelp
This was my first stop at Kelley's Island, and it was great! The atmosphere was amazing and there were a lot of outdoor seating options. I tried a pink semi-sweet wine and it was pretty good, not my favorite. We got a cheddar cheese board and a provolone cheese board, and they were sooooo good. I would definitely come back to try a different wine.

Jamie G.

Yelp
Logan is one of the sweetest servers ever. We all absolutely adored him. He went above and beyond. He greeted us when the hostess was busy, was super helpful and informative with the food and wines, and even offered to split the bill multiple times which is so rare cuz servers usually hate that haha. Also, the food was so good and just an overall great time. :)

Richard O.

Yelp
Not sure that I would call this a winery. Felt more like any restaurant you'd find anywhere else. Friendly and helpful staff. The pimento cheese appetizer was really good. Pleasant, but not the experience we had set out to find.

Linda O.

Yelp
Small winery in nice setting. Family friendly with playground and outdoor seating. Wine tasting$6:50 for all 6 wines. Only one wine has locally island grown grapes. Wines were just ok, nothing spectacular and bottles were pricey for quality. Staff was friendly but tastings were self guided with descriptions obscure.

Bethany D.

Yelp
Stopped in on a somewhat rainy Thursday afternoon. Was told they have the best food on the island, so gave them a try. Two of us ordered the tomato bisque and we both agreed it tasted like marinara sauce. No cream to it and we ended up dipping bread in it like a dip instead of a soup. Barely finished it. Kind of surprised since it was a regular menu item. Next, we ordered the curry coconut chicken - which was basically grilled chicken pieces on a skewer with onions and peppers. Tasted very little curry and definitely no coconut. Very bland. Also ordered the combination Imported Havarti and Goat cheese platter which was great. A little pricey at $24, but good. Lastly, ordered the Tuscan flatbread which was delicious.! Best part of the meal. Service was decent. Had a nice area for kids to play - this has to be great for families who want a place to go with some entertainment for the kids. We will return, but food not as great as we expected.

Evie H.

Yelp
We use to love The Kelly's Island Wine Co. , but after this visit on 9/8/22 , we will not be going back. My husband asked for a cup of coffee while we got drinks. He was told by the young man working that he couldn't make coffee because he wouldn't be able to get rid of the pot! I said please make the coffee..again he said he couldn't. Then at the end of our meal , they OVER CHARGED us on every single item we ordered..had so many excuses , then realized they got caught and took it off. How many times has this happened

Lisa S.

Yelp
We had a great dinner and wine flight with great service. Our server was the manager and she was prompt, very friendly and super accommodating. We don't drink sweet wine so she made up the flight with only dries which was not on the menu. We split a Brie and bacon burger, it was very good. Like not just on an island good, but legit good. I think the fries might have been oven baked, verses fried but they were also very good. Much better meal than any of the others we had on our trip. I feel as I should also mention, while we were there, there was a table of 3 older women who were very rude and complained about the server. The manager handled the unwarranted complaint with ease and very quickly moved on. I was very impressed.

Mike A.

Yelp
This place is talked up as one of, if not the, best place to eat on the island and it's...alright. Worth going to, but don't expect extravagant wines and a fancy atmosphere. First of all, we waited about 20 minutes for service. And the "service" given was being told to go up to the bar and order. Which is fine, but nobody told us for 20 minutes. The food was pretty good, and I was pleasantly surprised they offered the beyond burger as a meatless option. My girlfriend had the pot stickers, which received her stamp of approval. We ordered the havarti cheese platter as an appetizer and it was good too, though maybe a little overpriced. The glass of wine I had was flavorful, though not memorable. We didn't try the flatbreads, which are more highly-touted and well-regraded by locals. Overall, it's a fine place but not high on our list of places to return to.

Laura W.

Yelp
Huge fan. This place is awesome lots of room. Special tasting bar on the far side of the facility. The food is AMAZING. Huge offerings and I'm only sorry we didn't try any of the pizza as it looked to be both popular and super delightful. We snagged burgers and were not disappointed. The bartenders sounds like are all part of a family business. Very knowledgeable on their wines and offerings. I was sorry we didn't hit this place more often. Huge fan and was super impressed.

Melissa Z.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and good selection of beers. Wine was not good unfortunately and we couldn't finish our cups. Music was a nice addition outside. Staff was friendly.

Katie N.

Yelp
Super fun way to end a wonderful weekend. The wine was spot on- we bought nine bottles for later. The artisan pizza rules the island. Seriously- it was amazing! Excellent music drifted over from next door. It's very weird this place is on a island in OHIO! But there it is. A tiny little slice of thoughtful food and excellent drink heaven. Way to go!

Mike N.

Yelp
In the six years since I first visited, this place just keeps getting better! It has expanded outdoor seating and added the KI Cantina as well as another outdoor bar. There is a children's playground and two friendly goats. So it is family friendly, pet friendly and COVID 19 compliant. Limited, outstanding menu with daily and weekly specials. All of the salads are great, and very fresh tasting. Burgers are well prepared. Mussels are amazing. Pizzas are great, from the Margherita to the Maui Wowie. Off the menu, but available by special order (just asking for it) is the legendary baked potato pizza. Worth it! Wine selection is good for an Ohio winery. You can get a flight or individual drink or bottle. All are reasonably priced. And of course, there is the amazing sangria!. There is a gift shop and you can purchase wine to go! The Cantina has a full bar, Mojitos and Margaritas. The mint is locally grown and very fresh. Servers are very hard working and friendly! Overall, a great experience.

Maria D.

Yelp
Came for bacon fest and was disappointed however this is a really nice bar/restaurant. Not much a winery! The restaurant menu was bacon inspired and looked good. Tried the wine sampler and was intrigued by the Coyote White! It was the only wine that I've ever had that tasted just like eating a wild ripe grape! Had to get a bottle! Overall the area is a nice hangout and a great stop on the golf cart tour! Wish the bacon fest was a little more bacony...maybe next next! It's only the 4th year!

Jessica G.

Yelp
Service was awesome. Burgers are large. Wish I would have been hungrier. Menu has some great options including the cantina side (tacos and burritos). Winery side has great looking choices. Mussels , gnocchi, salads and grilled cheese. Next time I will definitely come ready to sample more food. Fenced in area for pitching horseshoes. Different dining areas to choose. Covered patio, inside cantina, winery front porch and indoor winery. Something for everyone.

David G.

Yelp
Our server was extremely pleasant and attentive (5/5). The food was great (Caprese salad is one of the better Caprese's I've had - the addition of Pesto is an interesting touch) and the Havarti cheese plate was tasty with wine. The flatbread pizzas were also well done. The location is a little away from the main business area, which was a plus for us as it was quieter and very pleasant to sit and relax.

Jennica S.

Yelp
We happened to be here during wine fest so it was packed. The woman at the bar said she'd be with us 4 times before she was actually with us a good 15 mins after we'd been standing there, but like I said, you could tell she was swamped. We had a bottle there and took one to go. There's a nice porch that wraps around much of the outside and 2 bars that I saw on the inside with lots of seating. It was a beautiful September day so we first took our bottle to the side porch In the back, but it smelled a bit like sewage and then the table next to us lit up cigarettes so we relocated to a metal table in the lawn where a band was starting up. Much more enjoyable and glad they had lots of outdoor seating. The wine itself was good but nothing exceptional and seems to be priced accordingly. For the only winery on the island, ya can't beat it I suppose!

Alicia D.

Yelp
The best food on the island! We didn't try the wine, but the food was all delicious. During our weeklong summer stay on KI, we ate at several restaurants but this is the only one we would recommend or go back to. Our favorite dishes were the chèvre flatbread, chicken sandwich, salmon burger, bacon burger, and smoked fish dip. The pizza looked delicious, and the flavors unique (pickle, Reuben, etc).

Karyn C.

Yelp
We have been going to Kelleys Island for 4 years now, and never manage to make it to the winery. Well, we had some really bad weather on the day we were supposed to leave and decided not to risk the trip on the lake back to Rocky River. WHAT A GREAT PLACE! I'm not a big wine drinker (I know what I like, but don't understand wine), but this was a fun place. I'm certain wine snobs would find it pedestrian. I loved it. The wine was ok. I enjoyed their version of the vidal blanc. The FOOD however, was amazing. We were there two days in a row - on the first day, we had the white sangria, the mussels and a pizza. The pizza was ok. Nothing special, but tasty. The mussles were amazing. Served in a tomato bisque with bacon. We were all drinking the bisque with the used shells. The second day, we stuck to regular wine, and we ordered a fig balsamic flatbread, and an order of lamb sliders. The quality of both were way beyond anything I would expect on the island. The flatbread was practically perfect, and I'm craving the balsamic right now. We still had bad weather, so we went to the large wall of games, grabbed a Scrabble game, and sat on the porch watching the rain, drinking wine, and enjoying the day. Could not have been a more pleasant way to spend a rainy day. The interior is quaint, and the staff is friendly. We ate our flatbread and sliders at the bar on day two, and ordered a few glasses of wine. Then we realized we wanted more wine for the porch. The bartender could have charged us for the separate glasses we originally purchased, but instead just charged us for another bottle. We are returning to our last Kelleys trip this weekend. You can be sure the winery is on our list of stops.

Katie O.

Yelp
The best meal we had the entire vacation. The food was top notch. Wine is excellent. Friendly and laid back atmosphere. We had the soup of the day, a Brie beer cheese soup for fall which also had pumpkin in it. Wow! Amazing! We also shared the imported cheese and meats. Fantastic! Be sure to share there, this is too big for one person. We also had the pizza which was excellent and even. Ether the 2nd day. We will most definitely be back!

Kenneth H.

Yelp
Real cool relaxed winery. This will sound strange, but I kinda felt like I was at Hawaii. The place has a Hawaiian plantation feel. The interior made me feel the same way. So that was nice. Wine was pretty good, but I'm not a great judge of wine. Service was great & the bartender was super informative.

S. F.

Yelp
Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehk. (Combination of Meh/Eek!) I really, really wish for a good Lake Erie Island Winery. I have yet to find one. This one has decent ambiance -- but ONLY if you're sitting outside. Inside? Well, it's like a cross between a pizza parlor and your douchey, frat boy cousin's basement. Service is pretty atrocious to be completely honest. This place was busy for maybe an hour on Saturday. The "servers" were running around like idiots and huffing and puffing and whining. After that hour -- ghost town. Yet we still had to come inside and basically serve ourselves.... and don't even get me started on how overpriced their food is. $22 for walleye -- and it's served on a plastic plate with throwaway utensils. And you have to go inside, wait, and pick up your order yourself. RIDICULOUS. The food didn't taste as good as it should have at that price point either. Don't eat here. If you like sweet wine, you'll probably love this place.

Ellen M.

Yelp
Tried to get service, but was ignored by the the staff. Stood @ the bar w/spouse and son and the female server didn't acknowledge us, look @ us or attempt to give us a menu. She seemed to be only to focus on 2 people @ a time. Too bad, looks like there are trying to be a bar with other wines and alcohol behind the bar. I wouldn't give them the time of day!

Scott H.

Yelp
We stopped here as part of a motorcycle tour on 10/10/20. Great grounds and atmosphere. We got the fruit wine sampler of 6 wines and the veggie flatbread. We came to the conclusion that we just aren't "wine people", lol. The flatbread was great. We went next door and got a jumbo strawberry margarita($15), it was great. It was self serve, order at the bar and pick up when done, but that wasn't an issue. Overall great place to stop.

Mike S.

Yelp
I've only been here during Island Fest (and it was PACKED), so I can't really say anything about the service or food. I had an interesting sangria-type Canadian wine that was actually pretty good. I also had one of the Ohio wines that tasted a bit barfish. I like their patio. I appreciate their central-of-the-island location -- it's a nice alternative to being downtown. In all: Careful about the wines you get here. Definitely purchase by the glass, not by the bottle.

Dee S.

Yelp
I had been here several years before and was not impressed at all. BUT, my recent visit to the island has changed my mind. Don't get me wrong -- this is no Napa Valley but the grounds are perfect for sitting and picnicking, letting the kids play on the playground, with the horseshoes, etc. The inside -- is what it is -- bar and restaurant -- not a real winery feel. As far as their wine -- the Glacial White is the only one I prefer. In years past I thought all their wine was terrible so this was a pleasant surprise. Their food? I only got a cheese plate but for $21 you get a pretty good serving of three types of cheese with a loaf of bread and apples. All in all, this is a good option to the downtown scene and if you have kids and want a place to hang out and enjoy a cocktail head that way.

Hillary B.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped at the winery for an early dinner and we could hear the laughter and music before we could see the building. The King of the Ocean flatbread was wonderful and hit the spot. The Sangria pitcher was perfect for the two of us and wasn't too sweet! Fairly priced and a fun atmosphere. People were playing horseshoes in the side yard!

Angela A.

Yelp
I'm not sure how to feel about this place. The pizza (yep, pizza at a winery) was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The concept confuses me though. A winery next to a Mexican cantina with a playground and petting zoo in the back. It definitely felt more like a casual country restaurant than a winery. That being said, if you go expecting a casual family atmosphere it would probably warrant an extra star. As a winery, not so much.

Mitch R.

Yelp
Bottom Line: Good wine, worth the stop. Didn't try the food. We did not eat here, we only stopped to try the wine, and let our son play on the little slides they had setup outside. We started out getting the wine sampler thinking we would buy 1 bottle of whatever we liked the best as a gift. We ended up getting 3 bottles, one for a gift and 2 for ourselves. This isn't the best wine I've ever had but it is very good and reasonably priced. Also, the descriptions they have listed are spot on. If you go here, read the descriptions and think about the kind of wine you usually like and what it is closest too. If you do you will really like what you get.

Steve S.

Yelp
Good selection of island wine and a very interesting menu. Specialty sandwiches, pizza, cheese and fruit trays, etc. A pleasant and refreshing stop .

Jake T.

Yelp
This place was really nice to kick back and relax. Even though this was our first time there, the staff and customers make you feel like you've been going there forever. Our "plan" was to get a glass of wine and move on but after talking with the bartenders and another couple next to us, a pitcher of sangria and 1 1/2 hours later we were still there. We'll definitely be back next time we're on the islands.

Deepak R.

Yelp
Recently visited Kelley's island winery !! It was truly a very nice experience to get out on the island and try something different !! The wines were goid and so was the food !! Justin at the bar took great care of me and my guests and made it a great experience for us !! Would most definitely recommend visiting the winery !! Will most definately come back again !! Thx DR MD

Joscelyn M.

Yelp
Please don't waste your time. I'm not a wine snob, but this stuff is barely drinkable,

Nicole Z.

Yelp
Terrible service. We biked from the other side of the island with the intention of getting food and wine there and being there for awhile. We sat down at a table and probably sat there 25 minutes with no service, despite seeing two servers walk by us. 10 minutes in, we even went to the front to let someone know we hadn't gotten service yet. After sitting there for 25 minutes, we left.

Charles M.

Yelp
I've been spending my summers on KI now for almost 15 years. I was introduced to these island excursions early on in my undergraduate years by good friends who frequently brought their boat across the lake. Once you touch ground, time instantly begins to slow down. Whatever troubles you had were magically left behind on mainland. You know that you are in for an extended weekend of pure relaxation and enjoyment. Part of the charm of Kelleys is that things tend to occur in a habitual manner. There's a place to be at each hour and a very specific order in which to do it. You'll notice the crowd on the island follow this pattern on almost every visit. On summer afternoons, shortly after lunch, or on autumn days after the football game, the winery is the place to be. I'm not going to pretend that this is a Napa Valley establishment or even an Ohio Amish country institution, but it does serve its purposes quite well. Regardless of your alcoholic beverage of choice, it is meant to be enjoyed while playing a soothing game of horseshoes or interspersed among sets of volleyball among good friends. Personally, I tend to stick with the Sunset Pink or sangria. Both are actually decent and blend quite well with many of the winery's offerings. Don't forget to throw in a cheese/meat platter and you have yourself the ingredients to a calm afternoon. Hope to see you there. Don't hesitate to join in on volleyball or horseshoes. Everyone is a friend on KI.

Heather S.

Yelp
We have been here twice & had a great experience both times! The food, wine & service were all great. We enjoyed the cheese plate & pizza. Their pizza is the best food we have had on the island so far.

John M.

Yelp
Could be good, but is so so dirty! Also, the inside corner has a very distinct urine smell. The men's restroom is a horror show. If you go, stay outside, and only drink wine.

Wendy W.

Yelp
First of all, as a Californian (and former Ohioan), I am extremely picky about wine. Ohio wine is not for everyone. That being said, it is drinkable - a fun aside from the normal complexities that govern our local varieties. Now as a mother of a young child, this place is awesome!! We went in early July and had a fun time. I love wineries with noise and people, and this one fits the bill - animals and horshoes out back, lots of picnic tables. The food was fine, and they do have other alcohol besides wine. You will pay resort prices, but it's a vacation location after all :-)

Jessica I.

Yelp
Great atmosphere outside. Though the wine is generally forgettable, this is a regular Kelleys stop for me. Maybe that's because it's so cheap that you can drink enough to forget it. Joking aside, the least-sweet wines are perfectly potable. The sugar-juice wines are to be consumed at your own risk. As mentioned, the prices are low enough that you shouldn't expect too much. Food is OK and reasonable. I get a bottle of the driest white and nosh on some snacks, and always enjoy it.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
I am not an Ohio wine drinker, way too sweet. Was hoping they would have a dessert ice wine we could take home for a friend but did not find that here either. What I will say is they had the best food on the island, from the places we visited. We were kind of relieved. We did go on some off days where a lot of places were closed or closing early, but we were happy with the food and service here. The mussels and beet salad were great. Finally an island salad that wasn't all head lettuce and yellow cheese! Service was friendly as well. Will come back here next summer.

Johanna M.

Yelp
Great Lake Erie-area style wine--sweet and grapey! Don't expect good dry reds, or barely any dry whites. The winery/restaurant has the best pizza on the island, great sangria, and a great location. Also, their wines aren't bad. Great outdoor porch area, bean bag toss/corn hole games, etc. Highly recommended!

Joshua F.

Yelp
The pesto pizza was really good. The muscles were out of this world. If you get the muscles and you like wheat beer get the catawba whit. It goes great with them. We did see a bunch of drunk 20 somethings that wanted to tell everyone their life story and how no one understood how hard they worked. I guess that is par for the course in Kelly's Island.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
The wine was ok. It was a little overpriced $15.50 a bottle for what it was. Food was decent. Cheese and meat trays lacked but the flat bread pizza was delicious. Service was horrible. I waited at bar while multiple tenders looked away or went the opposite way. I was the only customer each time so I don't know what the deal was.

Katelyn B.

Yelp
I love this place! They have great weekly specials, awesome wine, and great outdoor seating. ALSO A BRAND NEW TEQUILA BAR they opened just this summer! A must see when visiting Kelleys Island! :-)
