Jurees Thai Place Restaurant

The soup we got was delicious although a bit lukewarm. Their fish restaurant special was the highlight. Deep fried comes with tamarind sauce. Got that with coconut rice. The spicy noodles were great. Overall delicious food and awesome service.

After driving past this place hundreds of times and hearing from a co worker that it was really good, I finally decided to give it a try, and I gotta say I wasn’t disappointed. My group and I started by ordering the chicken satay skewers and Tom Kha soup. Both dishes were excellent and the presentation on the plate was very sharp. For mains we ordered a variety of curry dishes, I enjoyed the red curry quite a bit , however I was hoping it would be spicier as I did request it to be spicy, still it was quite good. I definitely recommend giving this place a try as it’s one of the better thai restaurants in town, also highly recommend you make a reservation even on a week day as the restaurant gets busy quickly.

Unique atmosphere that sells below average Thai food. I was excited to go because of high ratings, but failed to reach expectations. Though service is good. Food we got was not cooked in balance. it was too sweet to eat and too bland for some dishes. Whats more infuriating was SHRIMP AND BEEF they add is just MERE GARNISH compared to cheap vegetables that they give you for the main dish. Nothing special. I wouldn’t pay $120 for 3 people for dishes that are small portions. Too expensive and wouldn’t recommend.

We were here for a birthday lunch. Someone in our party is sensitive to gluten. This place offers gluten free options! Food was great. The Penang curry was amazing. Stuffed chicken wing was a highlight! They sang birthday song and all that… if you do not want to be embarrassed, do not tell them what you’re celebrating for! Interestingly, they have drive thru as well. I am going to try that next time.

Really liked the ambience. The food was also very good although the spicy noodles were a bit sweet for my taste but I really liked the soup, stir-fry beef. All in all it was a good lunch.

We were given a gift certificate for this lovely place, so it was our first time in. On a Sunday afternoon the atmosphere was perfect, I said it felt like we were at a resort. We had the most friendly service, one of our servers was KiKi and she was such a dream. We asked for recommendations, and they did not disapoint. 🤤 He got the Thai beer, I got the one in a coconut. 🥥 (highly recommend it for the experience). For food we tried the 1. Deep Fried Spring rolls, and the 10. Thai flower dumplings (the most beautiful you’ve seen) and then I had the 54. Thai Fried Noodles (Pad Thai), which was great! but I wish I would have gotten the 29. Pa-Nang Curry with chicken, because it was incredible. We added the small rice and it was perfect. I’d say for two people who aren’t starving, they could share that dish because we had left overs of both to take home with our cheesecake dessert. Will be going here again for sure, and telling our friends about it. Thank you all.

I have to say this is the best Thai restaurant in Calgary. So authentic I felt like I stepped off a plane in Thailand. The food and presentation blew me away, so beautifully plated. The flavour was incredible!! They can make lots of dishes vegan. Cannot wait to go back. Thank you !
