JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo

Loved the onsen / spa. World class with amazing views. The room itself was quite nice with everything you could want. The staff at the hotel were helpful (especially when I asked to change rooms), but I kept getting pushed to trainees at nearly every encounter. The biggest issue was the ongoing construction in front of the hotel and train station. Pounding sound of heavy machinery at work. Can’t fault the hotel for that but… Location could not be better.

The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic—it's right in the heart of Hokkaido. You don't even need to step outside the hotel to find plenty of places to explore and a variety of delicious dining options. The hotel's buffet is on a high floor, offering an extremely rich selection of food and amazing views. The only downside is that the room is a bit small; once you place a suitcase inside and open it, there's hardly any space left.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding—attentive and proactive without being intrusive. Every department, from the porter and front desk to guest relations and the restaurant staff, displayed the same high standard of hospitality. It was a consistent delight that made our stay exceptionally comfortable and pleasant. |||Every morning, you're greeted with warm smiles from nearly every staff member in the lobby. On the morning of our early checkout, the reception staff kindly assisted us with our luggage. Guest Relations, Ms. Minobe, was exceptional—every restaurant she recommended was perfect, and the food was absolutely delicious.||We are staying on the 30th floor and our rooms offered a spectacular panoramic view. However, if you're sensitive to the faint sound of passing trains, you may prefer a room on the opposite side of the corridor for a quieter experience - 3011 - 3030.||The location of this property is incredibly strategic and convenient. Daimaru is just a 3-minute walk away, with several other shopping malls and a variety of restaurants nearby. Many popular destinations, like the Mitsukoshi department store, are within easy walking distance, making it the perfect base for exploring the area.||I will stay in this hotel again if I visit Sapporo.

Stayed there for convenience to visit client and airport. Breakfast was delicious and you can choose different restaurant, but the service are far below expectations consider it’s a 5 star hotel in japan. I feel that they are missing some proper training, made mistakes consistently across different restaurants and forgot orders too.

Super friendly staff and very nice room. You must go to the spa area, 100% worth the price and you won’t regret it. The shower, onsen, jacuzzi tub is spectacular!!! Please pay a visit after a long day, they even provide free milk and ice cream. Very nice

The location is perfect! Right next to Sapporo JR station, most convenient location from the airport and central from shopping. If you only have 1-2 days in Sapporo, I can't think of another place to stay. Right beneath the hotel there are Stellar Place and Daimaru. Another big shopping centre just across the street. One subway station away from Odori/ Susukino.Hotel rooms are decent. Nothing to complain. They even offer massage services in the room until midnight. I will definitely pick this hotel if I return to Sapporo.

Best location ever! It’s right in the large train Station in Sapporo, connected to shops, restaurant, a giant department store and connected to the city centre through a covered walkway. The rooms are large and you can choose the high floors for a panoramic view of the city. Possibly the best hotel in Sapporo

This hotel has the best location. It’s right next to the JR Sapporo station. One can just follow the sign to the hotel after getting off from the JR train from the airport. The hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. The hotel rooms are big. We particularly love the big glass window that offers a clear view of the city. The bed is comfortable and it has all the amenities that you need. It’s close to department stores such as Daimaru. It’s also very close to the metro line. One can easily travel to Kyoto and Nara by the train/ metro station next to the hotel. On the second leg of our japan trip we stayed at this hotel as our base for a few days as we explored other parts of hokkaido. Located directly next to the train station, this hotel is centrally located to the train and subway station. In addition, there is a Daimaru shopping center nearby with a basement food hall and plenty of other shopping options. You honestly cant beat the location if your a tourist. Because of the location the hotel does cater to tourists, and there are plenty of folks who speak english, and/or chinese. The staff here is also very helpful and accomodating and were able to store our luggage in between our stays as we ventured out for other day trips to other areas. Overall we felt that the room was clean and on par with other japanese style hotels. I know others have indicated that the room is somewhat small but having stayed at multiple hotels throughout japan, i would say that is very comparable. Overall a great location for any traveler.

Anyway, this hotel's location was quite super. This hotel was connected directly to the JR Sapporo station. That's quite convenient. This JR tower contained the Daimaru department store and the Stella place shopping mole. It had many shops and restaurants and cafes. That's also much convenient. Hotel itself was normal. Each room's breadth was very ordinary. Clean and cozy.Some amenity needs to request to have. This hotel's superiority was it's great breakfast buffet. Buffet restaurant was located at the top of the tower.The view was great.Variety and volume of buffet was quite super. It was occupied in Hokkaido specialties.You may reference my images. I like that this hotel is located close to the JR line (which is downstairs) and has many stores, shops and restaurants closeby. The room is a bit small, but it was ok for 4 girls. The shower could have been a bit smaller to give more room to the sink area, but I really liked that they gave haribrushes, toothbrushes, and razors in the room haha. Recommend when staying in Hokkaido!
