JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo

This was already our third stay at JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo, and it continues to be our top choice whenever we visit Sapporo. The biggest draw for us is the unbeatable convenience — the hotel sits right on top of JR Sapporo Station, with direct access to Stella Place and Daimaru Department Store. Whether we’re heading out on day trips or simply shopping, everything is effortless, even in the middle of heavy snow.||We stayed in a corner deluxe twin room this time, which was exceptionally spacious, bright, and comfortable. The furnishings are well maintained, and the bed offers just the right firmness for a good night’s sleep. ||Being in one of the tallest buildings in the city, the view from our room was absolutely stunning — a sweeping panorama of Sapporo’s skyline with snow-covered mountains in the distance. ||The breakfast buffet at Sky J is always a highlight. The fresh lychees were wonderfully sweet, and the all-you-can-eat salmon roe was simply divine. Enjoying such delicious food while overlooking the city made each morning feel special — I found myself wishing I could start every day like that!||Overall, JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo remains our favorite hotel in the city. With its perfect location, beautiful rooms, and excellent dining, we’ll definitely be returning the next time we visit Sapporo.

The JR Tower Hotel Nikko is a solid choice for anyone looking for convenience in Sapporo. Its location right on top of the JR station makes getting around incredibly straightforward, especially if you have luggage. Since it’s connected to the shopping malls and the city's massive underground walkway, it’s easy to duck back to the room to drop off shopping bags or take a break without going out of your way.The view from the high-floor rooms is probably the standout feature. Facing the mountain range, the scenery is impressive in the morning and equally good at night when the city lights are up. Inside, the room felt well-designed, particularly the bathroom. It’s quite large by Japanese standards, and the bathtub is actually big enough to relax in. They provide bath salts and powders, which is a nice touch, as is the Dyson hairdryer—it's a significant upgrade over the standard wall-mounted versions you usually find in hotels. Overall, it was a practical, pleasant stay where the location and the views really justified the choice.

Wonderful Hotel with amazing Lobby-Bell- Staff Review of JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo Pending review Reviewed We stayed a week in Niseko at the “Ritz Carlton Reserve” and decided to go to Sapporo for a one night trip and chose the HR Tower Hotel Nikko. Frankly we were impressed as it us not easy to from a Ritz Carlton Reserve to any other hotel and feel impressed! The Sapporo Nikko is great; we loved the great service provided by all staff but specially the lobby “Bell Staff”, they were suite welcoming and attending to all our needs! We also enjoyed the service of the Libby lounge staff as well as the restaurant staff on the 35 th floor. However the food “Chefs set menu” was not as good as expected; with the main item “Hokkaido beef” being EXTREMELY chewy and in-eatable! The lobby lounge menu is a too limited for the all day dining place. Room service only available from 6-10pm which is rather unusual for a 5 star hotel. After 10pm there is no more food and beverage service in this hotel which I think is a mistake for a 5 star hotel! The rooms (2) we had were on the 32nd floor with stunning views and good amenities and comfy bed and great shower! We selected the “corner room” at about 42 sqm which is rather large for a Japanese city hotel! We love this hotel and will stay there again!

The hotel accidentally damaged the wheel of my wife’s carry-on luggage, but they took full responsibility and promptly purchased a brand-new replacement for us, which was truly appreciated. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted and assisted with all inquiries and luggage. The service was impeccable—Japanese hospitality at its very best. Lastly, I must highly commend the team for their extraordinary effort and care. I accidentally left my reading glasses on the desk and only realized it about 15 minutes after leaving the hotel, with no chance of returning by car. Remarkably, the staff personally took the train and delivered the glasses to me at the airport check-in counter. As a token of my gratitude, I reimbursed their travel expenses and added a little extra to show my appreciation. I later received the following message, which I quote: “Thank you as well for the generous tip. Many of our staff members, myself included, will be working through the Christmas and New Year holidays, so we plan to enjoy some traditional Japanese sweets together. Once again, thank you very much for your thoughtfulness.” One of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a modern downtown hotel in Japan.

Very convenient location that next to Sapporo station, exit from south entrance and turn left then you will be in the same tower of the hotel. We booked corner room, everything is perfect from the amenity to the size of the room. Just that at night time there is a small noise outside like something is burst or hit the glasses wall. The breakfast buffet is the most delicious one I ever had, the preserved salmon roe and shrimp sushimi served with riceplus the venison soup! The pork stew and tofu! It’s so yummy that I took too much and skipped my lunch. I always stay in this hotel when I visit Sapporo!

One thing that impresses me was the attentiveness and friendliness of the staffs. The moment you enter the lobby, they are ready to assist you, no matter what matters you have: whether it is checking in, asking for directions, or even recommendations where to have dinner! Check in was smooth and view from the hotel room is great. Breakfast is at 35F, and if you wakes up early, you will have a chance to catch the sunrise! Variety of food is great and everything is tasty! Overall, a comfortable stay! Last but not the least, this hotel is just located next to Sapporo Station!

The location is excellent—just a short walk from the JR station after you exit. The service was outstanding, and every staff member was incredibly kind and friendly. The view from the breakfast area was breathtaking, and we even met a lovely waiter who chatted with us and gave us origami cranes. Truly a wonderful experience. Thank you so much!

Wonderful Stay at JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo 🌸 Our last three days in Japan were spent in Sapporo, Hokkaido, and we stayed at the JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo — what an amazing experience! The hotel is beautiful, with a stunning view of the city and surrounding mountains. Everything was spotless and elegant. The Onsen was fabulous — there were three different temperature baths and a sauna, plus a relaxing lounge with breathtaking views. It was the perfect way to unwind after exploring Sapporo. The staff were truly wonderful — they greeted us with such kindness and made us feel genuinely welcome. We would especially like to thank Ms. Nishiwaki for her exceptional help in finding an exercise gym outside the hotel. She went above and beyond, even printing out a map and directions for us. Her thoughtfulness and professionalism made our stay extra special. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sapporo!

On the second leg of our japan trip we stayed at this hotel as our base for a few days as we explored other parts of hokkaido. Located directly next to the train station, this hotel is centrally located to the train and subway station. In addition, there is a Daimaru shopping center nearby with a basement food hall and plenty of other shopping options. You honestly cant beat the location if your a tourist. Because of the location the hotel does cater to tourists, and there are plenty of folks who speak english, and/or chinese. The staff here is also very helpful and accomodating and were able to store our luggage in between our stays as we ventured out for other day trips to other areas. Overall we felt that the room was clean and on par with other japanese style hotels. I know others have indicated that the room is somewhat small but having stayed at multiple hotels throughout japan, i would say that is very comparable. Overall a great location for any traveler.

Anyway, this hotel's location was quite super. This hotel was connected directly to the JR Sapporo station. That's quite convenient. This JR tower contained the Daimaru department store and the Stella place shopping mole. It had many shops and restaurants and cafes. That's also much convenient. Hotel itself was normal. Each room's breadth was very ordinary. Clean and cozy.Some amenity needs to request to have. This hotel's superiority was it's great breakfast buffet. Buffet restaurant was located at the top of the tower.The view was great.Variety and volume of buffet was quite super. It was occupied in Hokkaido specialties.You may reference my images. I like that this hotel is located close to the JR line (which is downstairs) and has many stores, shops and restaurants closeby. The room is a bit small, but it was ok for 4 girls. The shower could have been a bit smaller to give more room to the sink area, but I really liked that they gave haribrushes, toothbrushes, and razors in the room haha. Recommend when staying in Hokkaido!
