I felt very comfortable and I found what I was looking for immediately. The shop is very clean and the staff is professional yet warm. That’s to say nothing of all the gorgeous lingerie. They even wrapped my purchase in a classy gift box. Highly recommend!

My trip was the next morning, and I was picturing myself scrambling for replacements! However, the team at Journelle, particularly Danielle at the UES store, sprang into action like superheroes. Danielle didn't just apologize for the error (although the sincere apology was appreciated!), she immediately put a plan in motion to rectify the situation. With the help of a dedicated manager (whose name I wish I could remember right now!), they arranged for a special delivery of my order! I couldn't believe it! Thanks to their incredible effort, I had my suits in time. Journelle's commitment to customer service is truly exceptional. They didn't just fix a mistake, they went the extra mile to ensure a happy customer and a stress-free vacation. The team's dedication and resourcefulness were truly outstanding, and I am so grateful for her professionalism and empathy. I was already a dedicated customer but now they have a customer for life. :-)

It was 2/28/22 that I was fitted for a bra correctly, the women were on point and extremely lovely. I recently lost some weight, I am looking forward for my next fitting. They provide excellent service, I know my size has change like the season. I recommend them to all women struggling with their sizes. Terrific customer service.

Online sales and the "warehouse" are totally second rate. My order took over 7 complete business days to even get a label created (still not shipped after 8 days) and two items were removed from my order. My guess is by the time they processed the order those items no longer were in stock. This mean they are not keeping good track of their inventory. What you buy online may not be available by the time they process your order. They did not contact me at all about the missing items, all I received was a new invoice and I had to put together the pieces to figure out what I was not going to be receiving. The email I got that has my tracking info was sent by an individual and does not even list the companies name anywhere so it looked like spam. The original order tracking system at the journelle website is not updated at all to show a new status. Bottom line, it feels like the do not have their shit together over there for online retail and I will not by ordering from them again. We'll see what's in the package once I even get it too..

PSA: Do not buy from Journelle--they have extremely poor customer service. I recently purchased 10 sets of pajamas for the girls in my bridal party. Journelle confirmed the order, confirmed shipment of the order, then emailed me to say that they only had enough stock to fill a fraction of the order. Of course, since there wasn't enough stock for my entire party, I needed to return the portion of the items received and look for an alternative. Journelle would not allow for a return and would not compensate for shipping the product back for an exchange. They ultimately stopped responding to emails, and their customer service phone number and voicemail simply resulted in a dead-end. No one ever picked up the phone or called back, regardless of the time of day or day of the week. While I had been a long-time customer with no issues for many years, after this extremely unpleasant encounter, I will no longer buy from Journelle and I encourage everyone to buy these products directly from the brands, avoiding Journelle entirely.

The sales associates were very friendly, warm, and helped me pick out the perfect piece for a play party I was going to for NYE. They're very knowledgeable about what they have in store and had me try on various sets... all of which I loved and wished I could buy. Dangerous for a girl like me who loves lingerie. I don't remember the last time I got fitted for a bra but the sales associate (can't remember her name but she was cute) was patient with measuring me. It wasn't like VS where they just throw random bras at you after a haphazard fitting. I also really appreciated their feedback on how certain sets fit/don't fit. I'm not sure if it'll help anyone out there but I'm 5'5 with a square-ish/ athletic frame. My boobs don't fill out most bras so I was very thankful that they kept this in mind and showed me pieces that suited my body type If you want to be the belle of the ball, definitely check this store location out!

Have been trying to get a return shipping label for almost 2 weeks now. Impossible to get anyone from customer service on the phone regardless when I call, NO ONE, EVER, PICKS UP, THE PHONE!!! Will never deal with this company again. A waste of time. Hope someone sees this review and finally responds and helps.

This is the perfect spot for lingerie or simply underwear. I've been coming here for awhile now. The Journelle line is budget friendly and they carry a variety of garments depending on the occasion and they're good quality. The SAs in my experience have been really helpful and friendly and will bring you options in your size to try on while in the fitting room and pairing tips. They also carry Bordelle and other high end brands that are pretty difficult to find in US retailers. My only advice is call in advice for the high end lingerie pieces and sizes to ensure they have it in stock since I was told they only carry a limited quantity when I inquired.

I have always struggled finding bras that fit and have spent so much money on bras that weren't the right size. Katherine helped me today and was absolutely amazing!!! She could tell I was wearing the wrong size bra as soon as I entered the store. She helped me find the perfect size and was so nice. Bra shopping is usually such a terrible experience and my trip today changed that? I felt so much more confident when I walked out of the store in a new bra. I threw out my old one in the store before I left! I will definitely be back!

Just left this store after having the worst experience of my life. The 2 employees working were the rudest ever. They were trying to sell me into sizes that didn't fit because they didn't have my appropriate size. I couldn't try on panties which is completely understandable but the approach in telling me was just rude. When I asked her to help me adjust my bra (which is what they are supposed to specialize in) she responded with, "I can't touch you. After I questioned her she practically asked me and my friend to leave. Never ever have we been treated like this. Keep in mind, I have 3 sets of lingerie I was pretty excited to purchase along with a silk PJ set. I would estimate the sale at around $1000. They clearly didn't want or need my money. Stay away for this place, you can't try on panties, be measured for a bra or return anything. Happy to spend my money somewhere else.

Nice products but very poor business practices. This company does something unusual and, I think, unethical when you order online and also when you ship back items for return. First of all, when you order you are forced to pay for "package protection." That was around $14 on my order. Second, the buyer has to pay for return shipping, which stinks. Third -- this is very strange -- when they receive your returned items they do not credit you immediately. They assume you want to exchange for other sizes or selections. They send you an email offering "help" with sizing. At the bottom of the very *long* message, it says you must respond to the email in order to proceed with the return. What the hell? I don't read through such unsolicited emails, so I did not see that instruction. Is this a tactic on the company's part? Maybe. in any case, it is a stupid practice. It's very easy for a customer to miss an email. About a month after receiving that weird email, I noticed that I had not received my credit for the returned -- and Acknowledged -- items. No one from the company had bothered to follow up when I did not reply. Really bad customer service. Not inclined to buy from this company again.

It's not often that I write a bad review, but probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I had a $50 giftcard that I received as a gift several years ago that I recently found. I went online and made a purchase using the giftcard. It showed at checkout that the $50 gift card was applied and my total was .06 which I put on my CC. After checking out I later received the receipt via email which showed $50.06 was actually applied to my CC. I contacted support and worked with Rachel. She confirmed that she saw the gift card purchased for me for $50, but because it was over 5 years old it wasn't valid, even though it showed it was applied to my total!! I explained that the only reason I made the purchase was to use my gift card and so I wanted to return the item, and she said no returns, wouldn't make an exception for me. They charged me $50 for a purchase I didn't approve on my CC!! Having to work w/ my bank to dispute the charge. 1st and last time I will EVER do business here!

If you are plus size, stay away from this business. Especially if you are a plus size person with a disability. I visited back in March and asked for a professional bra fitting after gaining a lot of weight from a car accident where in I sustained a TBI. The woman who helped me was incompetent and struggled to fit me. When she finally figured it out, she still talked me into buying a bunch of ill-fitting bras and improperly sized underwear. It didn't matter whether or not I would feel comfortable in what I bought from them, if they could stand by their word and their consultation - just that they could milk me for every dime possible, despite the fact I was open about my TBI and resulting weight gain. The greed of these people knows no bounds. Seriously- avoid. The plus size community deserves so much better.

Dropped in here a few weeks ago to pick up an online order and again I am so pleased with this store. I first reviewed Journelle in September 2016 and mentioned Jasmine - she was there again this time and remembered me and my preferences from our fitting back in September. You do NOT get that kind of personal service in most places. Lovely store with lovely associates and service. Journelle has a lifelong customer in me.

I have been here twice to shop for lingerie and would happily return. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable but not too pushy. Nice selection of bras and underwear that ranges from the practical to the more decorative. Although the store is fairly small, they have plenty of things to choose from (mostly higher-end brands.) They also make the dressing rooms comfortable with chocolates, bottles of water, and a cozy robe in case you decide to go back out into the store. Great place to go for "something special," or even a few basics.

I was delighted to shop at Journelle today... and all because of Phoebe! Underwear & bra shopping can be aggravating and time consuming. Phoebe knew exactly what to select upon listening to my requests. Shopping was easy and quick. The selection is beautiful! I will definitely shop at Journelle again. Thank you Phoebe!

I wandered into this store this past Sunday expecting a "Victoria's Secret" experience. Not to throw stones but I am not a big fan of Victoria's Secret and most of the people who work there are usually too busy chatting with each other to actually help you. Don't get me started on the quality of their lingerie. Polyester = yuck! Anyhow, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and not at all pushy. The woman who helped me wasn't intrusive, gave her opinion when asked and didn't manhandle me. She was honest about what looked best and fit well. This boutique carries fairly high end lingerie - brands like Cosabella, Chantelle, Simone Perele, and Hanky Panky. Their prices are the same as Bloomies, but it's their customer service that sets them apart. They talk to you and ask you your needs as opposed to asking you your size and throwing you in a bordello like fitting room with 10 different bras for you to try on without any assistance (yes I'm talking to you, Victoria's Secret). The fitting rooms are lovely - large, good lighting, nice mirrors, heavy but easy to maneuver curtains and a robe for you to put on should you want to venture outside and pick out other items. The sales person periodically checks on you and doesn't stand over you want watch you disrobe. They also have bowls of chocolates scattered around the store. They also give new customers a $20 coupon to use the next time they come into the store - which I will definitely make use of.

Been to all the locations and they're all excellent. Fantastic service and a wonderful selection from the affordable to the very high end. Color me addicted.

Great service! Laurel was very helpful and kind. She fitted me and spent a lot of time showing me different bras and making sure they fit right and were comfortable. Clean, cozy, and warm atmosphere. There were little water bottles and chocolates there too! I left with two new pretty bras that fit right and feel good!

The selection is beautiful, and if you're lucky enough that Nicole is working the day you go, you've won the lottery! She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and helpful, and knows what looks good on different people.

I've been to this location 2 times. The first time was wonderful, the sales associate was so lovely and thoughtful and worked with me to find a bra that I would love. Which made me go back for a 2nd visit and it was NOT as pleasant. Not only did I have to keep asking for help (while hanging out of the fitting room half naked), the sales associate helping me was distasteful opinionated without being of any assistance in the suggestion department. If you "don't like" the way something looks on me, have the benevolence to suggest something that you think might like as an alternative. I've been in retail. I know the language. If I didn't desperately need to buy something last minute I wouldn't have bothered making that purchase. I would have given a 3.5 for the lack of decorum, but then the fist visit was so lovely I wouldn't like to discredit that wonderful service.

When I walked into Journelle, I was wearing a twelve plus year old bra because it had stretched out so much that it was semi comfortable, and that was the only bra I could stand to wear. Anna sized me and was extremely attentive, helpful, and professional while I tried on tons of bras and asked for fit feedback. ALL of the bras fit or came very close. The size was completely different from what they told me at Victoria's Secret. Everything is pretty and delicate. The only thing is it's a little pricey and sometimes ordering direct from the brand (like Natori) is cheaper, so worth a check. I left with two bras that I am now wearing every day. TLDR: if you hate bras, get sized at Journelle!

It goes without saying that it is not cheap. Putting that aside, sometimes a girl needs a bra that fits! The women who work here were so helpful and made me feel so comfortable while being fitted for new post baby bras. They came pretty close to nailing my size just by looking at me and I had no clue what size I was anymore! Treat yourself.

I stopped in today to look for a new bra. Stephanie was incredibly helpful and a pleasure to work with. She is extremely knowledgeable and the consumate professional. Even when it turned out that the brand I wanted wasn't carried, she pointed me in the right direction to find it. I'll definitely be back!

We've had terrible experiences with the shop girls at this location. Charging me twice for the same style in two different sizes instead of giving me the two bras I indicated I wanted. Ordering a style/size from another store, promising that it would be available the next day and never calling me to let me know when it was in. When we returned to the store two weeks later to take back the duplicate bra and mentioned that no one had called regarding receipt of the special order bra so we wanted to cancel the order, the girl said she'd have to charge us for it because it had arrived and then we could return it for credit. Seriously? Then she blamed us for being for not calling them to see if the bra had arrived in the first place! There is little to no customer service here. Go to the SoHo location if you want competent assistance with a smile.

Was walking to Bloomingdales and passed this place so I stopped in. Going away and needed a few nice things. This place was lovely. Service people dote on you. Try on rooms were lovely. Selection was great. Its not a huge lingerie dept mind you or a big Victoria's Secret. It's a shop. But lots of pretty things and if they don't have your size they can order it to come in a day or two. Prices are comparable to Bloomingdales. Oh and they offer you Prosecco. (^sp). Nice touch.

The most understanding and helpful staff I've ever met. I was wrongly fitted by Victoria's secret and purchased the wrong size from the Journelle store downtown. This was 2 months ago. When I walked into the store yesterday they told me that they'd credit me the full amount even though I bought those bras on sale. They also fitted me perfectly and provided excellent service. Extremely classy ladies. Keep it up :)

AMAZING. I made a fitting appointment at Journelle and within 30 minutes walked away with the best bra I have worn in my entire life. I had been wearing a 36DD/E and been terribly uncomfortable, and they told me that since I was petite, I needed a smaller band and a larger cup. They gave me a 30H and they were 100% correct. Even gave me a free sample of detergent and instructions on how to wash the bra. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Journelle is by far my new favorite spot for a fitting and for high quality product! I have been shopping at boutique lingerie stores for years as I am petite in the band size and larger in the cup. When I came in this July 2019, I asked Stephanie if she had time for a fitting because I felt there was a little extra fabric in my current bra and anticipated a slight change in cup size. She was super accommodating, brought me in, gave me a delicious glass of Rose and measured me at one cup size letter lower than I was currently wearing, confirming my suspicion. After bringing in some similar bras to the one I was wearing, I voiced my concern that there was still extra fabric up top and she explained how different styles fit and recommended that I actually switch styles and try something with much less coverage that would support the breast tissue. She brought me in a series of balconette bras in Chantelle, Simone Perele, Panache and Journelle. I have been wearing Panache for years but this was the first time trying on the exquisite Journelle brand. I fell completely in love and purchased all three Journelle bras Stephanie fitted for me. I went with the Journelle Anais Low Balconette in Petal, the Journelle Isabel Balconette in Black and the Journelle Allegra Balconette in Noir. I could not be more thrilled with all three and will definitely be back in the future. Thanks so much, Stephanie, for the time you spent with me, your expertise and strong customer service. You made me feel comfortable and confident in your selections and I am loving them. Thanks to you the balconette bra is my new style and I feel great!

My trip to Journelle was by far the best shop experience I've ever had! I was immediately greeted by a shop assistant (Nicole) who was super friendly and helpful. I told her my woes of never having a well fitting bra and she gave me a measurement and then immediately recommended several great options. Let me just say, this store is 1000 times better than Victoria Secret. Their selection is fairly large, decently priced, and they have everything to fit your everyday needs to your more adventurous and fun needs! Love love love Journelle! Everyone who works here is so warm and welcoming, not to mention knowledgeable! Make an appointment, or don't! They'll make you feel like a queen either way. I really feel that they go above and beyond to get your fit right, to make sure that you are absolutely comfortable. Can't say enough good things about Journelle! I purchase all of my bras here. I do NOT go anywhere else, and I've tried a couple of other places in the city. Especially great if you're like me and do not fit into anything at VS (I'm a 30H). They pay attention to the little details that can make bra shopping either be a nightmare or a match made in heaven. You will surely find something you love here.

I had a great experience here and they have a great selection in all sizes. There are many brands, styles and creative bras. The prices are not so high compared to higher end lingerie places. I think bras start around $50-60. They have disposable things so you can try on the underwear. Sheryl helped me and she was so kind, patient, helpful and not at all pushy. She spent well over an hour with me. First, identifying my correct size, then correct shape, and then bringing me lots of options in what would work well and encouraging me to go out in the store and pick ones I liked, too. With each bra she checked the fit, corrected the size, and gave me an honest opinion. There was one bra that I liked the style and fit, but not the color and design. She looked to see if they carried a similar style bra on the journelle website in a more desirable color and design and when they didn't have one, she took me to that brands website to show me what they offer. She even encouraged me not to get the bra at their store since I liked what was on their site better. Sheryl told me lots of facts about bras and what to look for. Overall, it was an awesome and relaxing experience and I will definitely be coming back.

Great experience. Much more knowledgeable about sizing than other stores I've been to that do fittings. I was able to find my actual size for the first time after being put into the wrong size twice in two other stores, whose fitters insisted I was in the right size. Even though it's more of a high-end store, the sales associates want to help you find your correct size and aren't pushy- you can still look around yourself, and be in the room by yourself and make your own decision. I did some research here http://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/beginners_guide and measuring before coming in, and was accommodated based on the sizing, shape, and style I wanted, and really listened to. Very nice, helpful, and welcoming staff, great brands and awesome selection- I wanted to buy everything! They have really nice fitting rooms and offer you water and chocolate while you're trying bras on.

This is one of my favorite stores in NYC, period. I have never been a fan of buying lingerie, until I walked into Journelle for the first time. The UES side is my favorite store, because it is a bit quieter but still has the same excellent selection as the other locations. Also, Krissy (Kristin) and Anna are the best! They are so knowledgeable about the brands, and never pushy or make you feel like you need to buy something. They are more interested in making your customer experience as excellent as possible. I have been so many times that Krissy knows my name, my size, and all my bra preferences. I have brought at least 5 of my friends here to get fitted and they all had two things in common: 1) each was wearing the wrong bra size (even though they were "fitted" at Victoria's Secret before) and 2) each left with a huge smile, feeling so much better about themselves. The right bra can make you look 10 pounds lighter and feel a million times more confident, and the ladies at Journelle will help you do just that. Also, Journelle has a great selection of price points (from $40-$200), so you can find something that works for you, no matter what you are wiling to spend. All of their brands are much higher quality than Victoria's Secret, and last so much longer if you take care of them. I would highly, highly recommend this store to anyone in the market for new lingerie or underwear.

My favourite lingerie store ever. I frequently shop on their online store and was in NYC for the weekend so checked out their Upper East Side location. I was greeted as I entered and was assisted so nicely by the staff. The fitting rooms are also beautiful. Highly recommend.

Updating my review for journelle at a different location. I was passing their location on 17th last week and as I have been having trouble finding new every-day bras j decided to try again - even after my horrible experience at the UES location (while I found a bra I really liked the customer service was terrible). This time had a great salesperson who took the time to bring me multiple sizes and listened when I told her what I was looking for. I bought 3 bras- one of which I wore out of the store and loved it. So while I still wont go back to the uptown location I will order Online or stop by the downtown location when I am in the neighborhood.

She made what could have been a somewhat uncomfortable (half naked) experience so pleasant and FUN! Everyone there was so friendly. Found my new lingerie store!

Great service! I was determined to find the right bra size, and Andrea was very helpful. It turned out that I had been wearing the wrong bra size for years. Andrea measured me and helped me find the kind of bras and underwear that fit well and I liked. She was extremely patient which was wonderful. Very good experience!

I've been fitted many times for bras and every fitter comes up with a different size for me: 34B, 32B, 32C. And they never fit right. I went to Journelle and came away very, very happy. The friendly and helpful staff explained how bras should be fitted and how they should sit on my ribs, shoulders, and breasts. I came away wearing one of the bras they sold me and it is more comfortable than anything else I've ever worn. I'll definitely go back.

I have been shopping at Journelle for the past 2 years or so. Today, I arrived a few minutes before the store opened where the associate Fran opened the door when I looked in. Fran was beyond courteous, helpful, very knowledgable in all of the brands, sizing and fitting and really sweet. Best shopping experience at Joirnelle yet!

I had such an amazing experience with their sales rep Jessica. She did a great job informing me how to shop for bras and which features would be beneficial for my size. After being fitted Jessica spent a lot of time explaining why some of the bras in my size fit well and others did not. I was only planning to purchase one bra that day but instead I purchased 2. This was a really great experience and the only store I plan to purchase bras from...ever!

I found Journelle after looking around online and was blown away by their knowledge service. I came in with my husband and we were both offered mimosas as soon as we walked in. The store also has a fluffy robe in the dressing room that you can put on to walk around the store Amanda handled my appointment and was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and really listened to what I was looking for. Within a few minutes, she measured me and brought in the first bra. It was a perfect fit, exactly what I needed, and I actually wore it out of the store. I ended up replenishing my bra wardrobe with some amazing items. Sure, the stock is slightly more expensive than your average VS bra, but the quality and fit are so much better. Will be back for sure!

I went in here today looking to find a new bra. Krissy helped me, and she was fantastic! It turned out I had the wrong bra size and she helped me find a bunch of new bras and designers to try. The store is also really beautiful and their things are very cute. I literally didn't know where to look at first. Krissy also found me lots of matching items, and I can't wait to go back.
