Jjamppong is a hidden gem for Chinese Korean food in Calgary. We had their spicy and non spicy jjamppong (seafood soup) with sweet and sour pork. Their sweet and sour sauce is made from scratch and a real highlight of that dish. The seafood soup was very spicy, intense with flavors, and lots of seafood. Quite filling. I’d recommend anyone who wants some good eating to head on over to jjamppong. Parking can be a challenge however since they do not have a lot. You’ll have to park near by on the street and walk over.

Came here for dinner with the family. Overall, this place serves a limited menu which is not a problem if you are aware and are looking for these specialty items. Spicy seafood noodle soup was delicious. Their fried chicken and prawn was cooked well with just the right amount of batter and sauce. Would come back if I am ever in the area : )

THANK YOU!! I lived in Korea for 2 years and I was CRAVING this meal. It was sooooooo delicious! We got the beef jjamppong and just seafood jjamppong. It was alil over priced but it’s a price to pay for something this good! Also everyone working there was super friendly and nice.

Food they served seems close to home for them. Ordered spicy tofu soup with seafood. Taste good. Not spicy though. Enjoyed the meal.

Dinner at Jjamppong, one of our favorite Korean noodle restaurants. Very delicious dishes that we enjoyed a lot. Ordered the classic Spicy Noodles and Black bean noodles dish along with the popular Fried Pork with sweet and sour sauce.
Friendly staff and fast service. If you want to try the popular fried pork with sweet and sour sauce, I do recommend to eat in instead of take out (if possible). We tried take out a few times with the Fried pork dish, but nothing like dining in when we can taste the freshly made fried pork …. You will know what I mean for the dining in fried pork. Highly recommended!

It was a very delicious jjamppong compared to the jjamppong I ate in Korea.
There's a reason why the name of the store is Jjamppong.
Please try the special jjamppong.

If you’re looking for some spicy and authentic Korean food, then this is the place… Jjamppong! We ordered Spicy Noodle Soup with Beef, Spicy Noodle Soup with Seafood, Fried Pork with Spicy, Sweet and Sour Sauce (our favourite) & Fried Gyoza. Everything tasted spicy but ohhh soooo delicious. They have a variety of choices on the menu and if you’re not sure what to order, their friendly servers are so nice to recommend some options to you. Ambiance is nice and place is clean. A good place to enjoy a delicious meal with my family.
