I’m sorry to say but it didn’t live up to the hype for us. We stopped in for an appetizer and a pizza. Seriously huge pass on the crispy chicken chips. I don’t know if there was even any chicken in them or if it was just chicken flavoured batter the pizza was decent. But service was slow and it was overall just okay.

We chose this place for our last date night of 2024. I was very impressed with the vibes, the food and the very kind staff. We will definitely come back to Jinbar again. Because this place has become our favourite restaurant.

We had an awesome dining experience. Best tasting restaurant food I had in a long time. Every dish we tried was very flavorful and the flavors where perfectly balanced. Service was very attentive without being too pushy.

My wife and I had a pretty good experience at Jinbar. We came for the highly recommended chicken sando and it did not disappoint. Is it a pricey chicken sandwich? Definitely, but I feel the full experience makes it worth it. Our server was excellent all night and the chef even came to our table to ensure everything was to our liking...it was even neat to see chef Jinhee Lee roaming the floor as well. The only small thing that wasn't great for us was the tempura mushrooms were very gummy and the batter stuck to and in our teeth which was a very odd feeling. Overall, this is a place I cannot wait to get back to and try the fried chicken on its own.

One of my favorite restaurants in Calgary. They accommodated our big party and service and food was excellent. I was quite surprised by the pounded cucumber very tasty and the thai style watermelon was delightful. I wished we would have ordered more crispy chicken chips. Must order is the fried chicken. Cant wait to come back again!

Wow wow wow! Such a hidden place with amazing food, everything we tried on the menu was 10/10. Buldak fried chicken is a must if you can handle spice!

Decent food but low on value. I really wanted to like the place as we went for a birthday dinner around 9pm only to be told that there would be no pizza available or ice cream available . We decided to order a bunch of appetizers instead . The first were the dumplings . These were just ok with the stuffing being totally bland and the sauce / seasoning on the top not being able to overcome the bland was of the meat. Next were the roasted cauliflower which was just cauliflower slathered in a yellow curry paste . The taste was just ok and I would never order again. The fires were very good though. The bruschetta style coriander tomato cheese dip was also good. Though not worth the price . The beta was the spring rolls with spicy chicken . It was perhaps the only dish I would ever order again. The beer with soju was just ok as the beer itself was relatively flat and uninspiring . Maybe Sunday night was not optimal timing wise . The place was empty and they started packing up at around 9 itself.

One of us is a local foodie and wanted to try this place. It was not busy in a mid-December Sunday evening. Their cocktails were great. We had My Bae and Yuzu French. I was not into fried chicken but to my surprise, their fried chicken were so good! We also had some pizza. One plus was they could do half and half, so you could try two flavors in one pizza! 🍕 We had some cauliflower and it was delicious as well! Overall, this was a good find by our friend!
