Jia Jia Tang Bao

I recently dined at Jia Jia Tang Bao (黄河路店) twice, and here’s my review: Noodles: The noodles are simple yet flavorful. The first time I had them, they were better, with more sauce and a richer taste. The second time, they were a bit bland compared to the first. Dumplings: The dumplings were consistently good on both visits. They had a great flavor and were well-prepared. Venue: The restaurant is clean, and the service is quick. It’s a great place for a quick, simple meal. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 4 out of 5. It’s a solid choice for a casual dining experience with good dumplings and decent noodles.

It's great that whatsapp and Google maps still work with data roaming. Easy to walk around. The Google maps location is incorrect. It's located slightly further north side. Look for the large shop logo instead. I took a seat and ordered at front counter with English menu. Food is wonderful. Not spicy as anticipated. Soft noodles and tasty dumplings with vinegar 😋 Polite and helpful staff..

The food taste is just ok for me at I would rate 3.5star. Ordered the mix variety of soup dumpling and tasted all to my opinion it’s normal and are eatable. Price wise is still ok. Googled pin location like wise 50m different. Need look around.

Fantastic! Worth every effort in eating at Jia Jia Tang Bao even if the queue is a bit of a wait. We’d read about this place online before our visit to Shanghai and ended up having lunch here twice during our 5 day trip. Although we don’t speak the local language, the staff were very friendly and accomodating in helping us order through the photos on the menu and through the QR codes on the tables. The dumplings are A grade and well priced (for us tourists anyway) and I only wish we had dumplings as good as these back home!

Really confused about the name of the restaurant, actually I searched for Jia Jia Tang Bao and came here and found that it became Jia Le Tang Bao, not Jia Jia. I let the waitress saw the restaurant’s name in my Google map and she nodded that it’s here. Even though not sure whether the same restaurant or not), but after tried Xiao Long Bao several restaurants, I found that here is the most preferable one for me. Anyone who knows about the topic (restaurant’s name), kindly let me know.

Xiao long bao was ok, typical authentic chinese dumplings. But we like the noodle more here than the dumplings. Staff were friendly.

Love the xiao long bao, dumpling soup & noodle! The best I had while my stay in Shanghai Highly recommend to give it a try ☺️

Still a nice place for xiaolongbao, even though they have gone slightly upmarket. Prices are still pretty reasonable, and the xlb and other dumplings are done by hand to order, and are pretty delicate and tasty. Sharing a table is the norm, and you can order and pay at the cashier, or via the QR code at the table.
