Japanski restoran Tekka

Crazy good! I can’t say enough positive things about this restaurant. We’re Japan-afficionados who have been to Japan numerous times, but here at Tekka we had the best sashimi ever! Service was absolutely impeccable, food is so fabulous. I’m so sorry we can’t stay longer in Zagreb, otherwise we would eat here more often. Great cocktails too btw.

Everything we've tried so far has been inedible. Octopus Tekka Style is surreal, Beef fillet with shiitake duxell is wonderful, New style Beef Wok is great for hot food fans, sushi is great... Add to it a nice warm sake, and you will definitely be coming back. Staff is often very nice and friendly (there is one waiter that seems pretty uninterested and distant but is not bad in any way). I suggest making a prior reservation, they are always full. To summarise, it is pricy but definitely worth it. Update to the reply from Tekka: no need to warn the waiter, he was not unpleasant, just noteced the difference from all others that were very courteous and friendly. Also, thank you for a great meal and a wonderful evening.

What a wonder Japanese restaurant. We’ve travelled the world eating great sushi but never expected to find such a nice experience in Zagreb. The restaurant is well appointed and we love the glassed in kitchen. The service was tops, friendly, informative and never rushed. The menu was… extensive. As for the food… fish was super fresh and very importantly, the rice, often overlooked, be it in nigiri form or in a bowl, was perfectly made. And we had the green tea sesame mousse dessert that was just fantastic. When you’re in Zagreb and looking for Japanese food, this is it. Oh…. We enjoyed it so much, we went back again the second day of our stay in Zagreb.

Excellent restaurant. For every recommendation. The service is excellent, the staff is polite and on a high level. The food is great. An excellent choice if you like sushi and Asian fusion. The selection of drinks, cocktails and wine is excellent. Table reservation for lunch and dinner is desirable.

The place looks great, and generally the staff are quite nice. The reason for a lower rating is that there was no mention in the menu at all that wasabi is put inside every single piece of sushi you order. There are people that don’t like wasabi, like myself, and I prefer to have it on the side, but it was put inside the sushi pieces without any indication whatsoever. This ruined my experience. I told this to a member of staff, but I was met with a tight lip expression and no explanation other than “this is how it’s done”. Interestingly, they are the only sushi restaurant I went to that does this. So, be careful if you don’t like wasabi :)

This was a excellent experience in a excellent restaurant. The ambience is modern and minimalistic, with very professional staff which is polite and on a high level.The food was delicious and very nice decorated. An excellent choice if you like sushi and Asian fusion. Highly recommend this place 👍

It is that good honestly we are going back, best food we have tried in Zagreb Outstanding guys be proud of yourselves 💯👌 5 stars all the way. Staff very friendly and polite going the extra mile to open doors really appreciated 👍 😊
