We came in and had a drink at the bar while the staff were resetting tables after a quick shower. We seated and watched a beautiful sunset. We received complimentary pumpkin soup that was delicious. We shared two combo platter type of appetizers and everyone loved the meal they received. Service was good and attentive. Nice sit down restaurant with relaxed vibes and a beautiful view.

Nothing beats great food, ambience and service. Ivan’s has all three. My steamed fish was piping hot and delicious. The view of the Negril’s cliff side will easily make this once of my favorites.

Jamaica a my space and also Ivan’s restaurant just a few minutes walk down the street from Rick’s cafe you can find one of the most beautiful restaurants with beautiful service. If you’re like me that loved a more upscale vibes while watching the sunset in negril with a more authentic Jamaican food and music Ivan’s by the water is for you.

We embarked on a bus tour that took us to Rick's Café. Initially, it was enjoyable for about five minutes, but soon it became overwhelming. The DJ blasted American music and incessantly shouted about someone's birthday, while the café itself was packed and notoriously overpriced. To make matters worse, we were constantly approached by people trying to hustle us for money. Realizing we had several hours to spare, we decided to escape the chaos. A quick search for nearby restaurants led us to a hidden gem, and we made our way there on foot. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a friendly security guard who guided us to the bar. This place turned out to be a charming hut perched on a cliff with breathtaking views—truly the perfect spot to watch the sunset. We enjoyed a fantastic two-for-one drink special and were seated at a table right on the edge of the cliff, offering an incredible vantage point for the sunset. I opted for the jerk chicken pasta, while my wife chose the lobster penne pasta; both dishes were among the most delicious meals we've ever had. The DJ played fantastic local reggae music, creating an amazing atmosphere. If you're considering a visit, I recommend stopping by Rick's Café just to say you've been there, but make sure to walk over to Ivan's afterward. You can thank me later!

Stunning view from our table at sunset (see pic). Food was really tasty albeit slightly on the pricey side. The atmosphere was chilled but not too loud. The waitress Carol absolutely made our evening with her genuine kindness.

Had the meal under 100 candles for our first year anniversary! Booked the wrong thing to begin with but they sorted it out quickly and what a night! Recommended it to other people at our resort already! The normal meal looks really nice to but if its a special occasion then do not hesitate to book this I promise it unforgettable!
