Intelligentsia Coffee Venice

Parking for the cafe is along the streets in front or at the back of the building. Can get a bit crowded but shouldn’t be too long to wait for a spot. Coffee is decent and service is adequate and efficient. Nice place to sit at and there’s always a stream of customers coming in but most are for takeaway so not hard to get a table unless it’s the weekend. Worth dropping by if you’re in the area.

The Avena Latte on their seasonal menu was outstanding! A delicious blend of flavors with a hint of spice, just superb. It's refreshing to have something so artfully concocted and I'd recommend you head over and let them treat your senses! (I couldn't help but take a sip before I took a photo 😂)

Intelligentsia Coffee Venice offers a delightful coffee experience. I had the Mocha, which was exceptional—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. The baristas are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, creating an inviting atmosphere. The shop's modern yet cozy ambiance makes it a great spot to relax or catch up on work. Plus, it's a good stop for a clean and convenient bathroom break. Highly recommend for coffee enthusiasts looking for a top-notch brew.

I was on a donut quest and happened upon this place. Their chocolate devil's food cake certainly did the job! It was delicious. But more importantly, the atmosphere and service was exactly what I expect and appreciate in a perfect cafe. When I got to the cash register, I was surprised that they DON"T ACCEPT CASH. And none of my bank apps were linked to my new phone. I only had cash. But the clerk made an exception due to my circumstances and let me pay in cash. This was huge, because I was on foot and had walked all the way from the pier in Santa Monica. And the donut was already in the bag. Anyway, it all worked out thanks to their amazing customer service. I also love the outdoor seating, which feels surprisingly welcoming and cozy due to the plants, layout, furniture choices, and mural. I would go there again for sure the next time I'm in L.A.

The coffee is excellent and made well. The order and pickup could be a lot smoother. Lots of folks who pick up the wrong order then put it back in the bar. It feels weird when other people (customers who don't know if it's theirs) touch the cup I'm going to drink. Feels less than 100% sanitary somehow.

The coffee is quite good — not “exceptional”, but definitely fully enjoyable. The order taker, however, did not what “breve”, but they tried their best and manage to froth halnhalf, although it tasted as the process was new for the barista. I’d expect such a popular place to know the specifics of “breve”. With crowds Inteligentsia attacks, they should also try to open a second bathroom — the line was there all the time we had our coffees and later. But - if you like coffee and like LA you gotta visit this iconic place. Update feb 7 2025: Still the same: — Ok coffee (not too strong), — $8 almond croissants are ok, but do not taste like real croissants and the paste inside is not really almonds Great place for people watching — and, probably, yo be seen.

Many seats here and allow you to use the receptacle for your laptop, I ordered an iced latte and only took a temporary stay this time. Pick a casual weekend and have a seat here for a comfortable afternoon should be great.
