That sujebi place from the Youtube we watched! Apparently their makgeolli is good too.
Insadong in general is a nice area with more traditional restaurants, etc.
✨ Lunch at Insadong Sujebi/ Insadong Hangari Handpulled Dough Soup since 1993! 🍲
I went for the General Sujebi and Seafood Pancake, and it did not disappoint! The sujebi soup was so refreshing, with oysters giving it an extra layer of flavour. 🦪 The seafood pancake was just the right amount of crispy, packed with shrimp 🦐 and squid 🦑—a perfect bite every time.
Also, the kimchi was so fresh, it really added a nice balance to the meal. Highly recommend this spot if you're ever in Seoul! 🏙️ #InsaDongSujebi #KoreanFoodLover #SujebiAndPancake #SeoulEats #FoodieFinds #Since1993

In Singapore/Malaysia, we know this affectionately as MEE HOON KUAY. Basically dough that is torn apart by hand and cooked which resulted in the odd shape of noodle/flour.
I am so happy to have found this place as we were missing home. This place looks like it has been publicized a lot as u can see various signatures on the wall and there are even logos of broadcasting by stations which had interviewed them before.
We ordered for 2 and it came in a large serving bowl which can then be distributed. Their kimchi was cold and came in a personal pot which feels very sanitary. The pancake was thin and crispy. I came around 6pm and by 7pm the whole place was filled out. It was so delicious and it was interesting to find out that Sujebi in Korea is the sister of mee hoon kuay of SEA.

Similar to Singapore/M’sia mee hoon kway BUT the soups are different. It was very comforting on a cold winter day. The pancake was delicious too. If I were living in Seoul I’d be coming here a lot!

The spicy sujebi slaps hard with the briney umami of the oysters it's brewed with. Haemul pajeon is thin and crispy. Dining quarters are cramped though. We came early for dinner and faced a queue when we left.

Delicious hand-pulled noodles place hidden in the alley of Insadong. It was a rainy day in late September with about 30 mins wait, and it was worth it.
We ordered a original and spicy (얼큰) noodles and a seafood pancake. The noodles are so unique and I love the it’s texture. Both original and spicy are awesome. The seafood pancake is alright, a bit too heavy and I wish they have more seafood toppings. They have a pretty small menu so I would still recommend to try their pancake with the noodles.
Overall I was not disappointed and highly recommend this place, this is a very affordable and filling meal.

BLUF: A, just a great experience.
An old saying goes, “Never judge a book by its cover.” The same is true with restaurants: “Never judge a restaurant by its location and entrance.” Insadong Sujebi is an excellent traditional Korean Specialty restaurant. Its speciality is Sujebi. Sujebi is a traditional Korean noodle soup where the noodles are thin, hand-torn pieces of dough added to a bubbling pot of broth. Buried down an out-of-the-way ally, Insadong Sujebi is a quant cozy Sujebi eatery. It looks a little run-down, but don’t let that fool you. The place is clean, and the staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming. However, be careful; they have their own recipe for classical Korean Kimchi, which I absolutely love. In fact, I got full eating just the kimchi and side dishes.
If you are a Korean Foody, this is a must-stop on your culinary trip through Korea

Nice texture of the handpulled dough and the soup was nice, well balanced with spiciness and sweetness (taste like kimchi soup). But a little expensive, 10000 won but tiny few pieces of oyster. Seafood pancake was good! 15000won. Pot of kimchi on your table for uour self-service :) English menu available.
