Fervere is a charming bakery in Westside Kansas City, boasting a tempting selection of artisanal breads and local cheeses that vanish quickly, so get there early for their famous cheese slippers and delightful pastries.
"Fervere, Westside. If you love bread and cheese and amazing smells, you need to stop at Fervere. It’s a tiny place with a wood fired oven that makes artisanal breads that sell out almost immediately, each of the 3 days a week they are open. You need to get there early so you can try them all, especially the Olive Rosemary, Orchard and Ciabatta…and the Sprouted Quinoa…and the Rye Cookies…yummm. On Saturdays in the spring and summer, they partner with local chefs using seasonal local ingredients to make Cheese Slippers. What are Cheese Slippers you ask, well, they are almost like a pizza, but not a pizza, they are just drool-worthy cheesy bready oozy goodness, that is 100% worth standing in an hour long line to taste. You should order more than one, and one of them should be the egg one. Trust me. Also, get there early, the line will be long and they will sell out."
Best bakery in middle part of America! I Ake bread and pastry at home, so I can tell they really love and try to make something special and different. Earl grey bun is full of flavor. The seasonal filling croissant, instead of cream cheese filling, which is the most common filling is America, is filled with lemon flavored custard. And Kouign aman, tastes kind of like the famous cronut of Dominique in NYC. Ciabatta is perfect, crispy skin and moisture inside. With those charming holes, it’s been rising for a long time. The service is also perfect and sweet. Will absolutely be back when I am in KC.

The best bakery in Kansas City. I had this pastry pictured below i couldn't pronounce. It's about the best damn thing I've ever eaten. Buttery deliciousness. I've also had their cinnamon rolls, bear claw, and orchard bread which are all terrific Call ahead and reserve what you want or go early.

Hands down my favorite bread shop. Quaint and rustic. Reminds me of Europe. We call ahead our order any time we are driving thru. Cheese slipper and olive breads are our favorite. Tried two sweet baked goods from their new partnership. I would highly recommend the kouin amann: light, airy, sweet, crunchy.

This place is amazing! The ciabatta and croissants are to die for. Fruit bread is also delicious! (Not fruitcake)
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. It’s not cheap, but considering the incredible quality I would still consider it a good value. You get what you pay for, after all.

They have the best bread and the best staff ever! The cheese slipper is personally my favorite from the menu. It is definitely precious cargo. If you really want a specific item I would call a day or so before and place an order for pickup. They sell out very fast. If you don't pre-order I would recommend getting there as soon as they open.

What a gem in the heart of West Side KC! It is a must when you are an early riser on weekends. Service is fast and with a smile. There are many other items for sale other than bake goods.

I decided to go here because my usual doughnut shop was closed. I got here at 10:30, and it’s very obvious why he was almost out of bread.
The cheese slipper is an absolute must - we couldn’t stop eating it at home! His base bread recipe is fantastically delicious! So of course adding cheese just made it that much better.
I also got the last pan of cinnamon rolls, and wow! They were moist all the way through and the flavor was amazing.
Lastly, a friendly smile and customer-centric attitude always tops things off. Fervere is now a staple for our family, so thanks so much for the amazing breads!
