Extremely beautiful opera house. The guided tour is worth every cent, which are held in English, German and French, besides Hungarian, obviously. Very impressive art work, magnificent acoustic and very rich history. Order a tour, you won’t regret it. At the end of the tour, two artist will perform a short play as the icing on the cake 😊 Best would be buy tickets for a whole play.

Beautiful building - both inside and out Was just interested in looking at the foyer but got so dazzled by the glamour that had to have a look inside. So rather than pay a huge fee to just have a tour, did the most obvious thing - actually watched a 3 hour performance for a fraction of the cost. (Some tickets are very reasonably priced if you are not a purist and it makes more sense to watch the performance for 10 Euro than pay more than 20 for just a tour of the inside). Highly recommend this experience even if you are not a connoisseur of fine arts

Wow! We had a guided tour of the newly renovated Opera house and what a treat it was. It's a beautiful building, quite stunning inside, particularly the ceilings. we were given a look inside the boxes and treated to a short duet by two opera singers, whose vocal power, close up was remarkable.

Big disappointment was the fee for the tour - therefore only seen the free part of this magnificent building. I understand the cost of the operation of this unit but this is an active and national building, with the high end bill tickets of each performances. Beautiful. Magnificent. Gorgeous! Visit if you can afford, at least the free parts. You can’t make any mistakes with that.

We had a great tour today with the English tour guide. Her stories and explanation about the history of the building and how it was used were fascinating. We even got a little opera performance of two great opera stars at the end. So I would certainly recommend to do the guided tour.

This is one of the iconic landmarks in Budapest. Opera tour is a chargeable service. I only visited to the lobby of this fancy building. Looks magestic and rich in terms of interior. I guess the best thing to do is to purchase tickets for a show. Then you can observe the opera hall + the show. A must visit location..

Absolutely gorgeous building! I did the tour and it's very much worth the cost. The guide was very knowledgeable and led us through a beautiful tour with so much historical and architectural information. It was amazing to be able to see the inside and find out more about this gorgeous National Opera.

Very demure, very mindful. 10/10 would dress up like a queen and pretend im royalty for a night. The cast was amazing the voice echoed in the auditorium giving it an interesting effect. Perfect for a luxurious night out.
