"Huaca Pucllana, a restored centuries-old adobe ceremonial temple, has remarkably and defiantly sat right in the heart of Miraflores since 400 C.E. The temple complex includes a Wari (or Huari ) cemetery, where four preserved mummies were discovered in 2010, and a small museum housing artifacts, pottery and other excavated relics. It's especially atmospheric when illuminated at night, best seen from the on-site restaurant, an upscale and highly recommended spot for a memorable dinner."

The night tour is a great option to avoid the heat of the day in the summer. It was about 45 minutes and at each stop you have plenty of time to wander around and take pictures. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and kept things conversational. All the info was provided in both English and Spanish. The only downside is that we couldn't go to the top at night.

Awesome visits to the museum We arrived right after the tour started so we were able to join the English one. They took us to several places around including the garden. We did not get to go to the very top but about midway. My kids loved it.

It was ok. The ancient pyramid (partially) made of Adobe and the way of living at that time is shown in the outdoor museum. You can go up on the pyramid and down around with the guide. About 45min. Be sure to bring good sun block and hats as there are no shadows. Scheduled guided tour is required. You can't go on your own. The timing is when there are good enough people. English or Spanish. Ticket: 15 soles at the door.

Did not expect an archeological site to be in a center of well-developed, beautiful neighborhood in Lima. It was as amazing as it sounds. As a foreigner I paid 30 soles for a ticket and they had an English-speaking guide to show us around (he was informative and hilarious). The tour wasn’t too long to be tired, nor too short it wasn’t worth the money. A surprising experience for me indeed.

Great historical place with Free English speaking local guide provided by the museum, take approx 1 hour to walk around. Quite hot here, please bring hat/cap and drinking water. Dusty from sand, better to have the mask or scarf to cover your nose. The guide has very good information , unfortunately, we can't record the video, only the photo that she allowed.

The excavation for this site started in 1981 and it is still going on. The ruins date back to somewhere between 450-650 AD. Entry to this site is via guided tours which cost 15 Soles. The site was built as a purpose for ceremonial ground by Lima natives. The site was abandoned between 650-750 AD. Between 750-900 AD, it was used by Wari people for burials. The royalty members were buried at high platforms in sitting positions with their legs bent and essentials were kept alongside. Between 1100-1450 AD, Yschma people used the site to perform rituals on lower platforms and burials on higher platforms. The site never used to be inhabited by people and it later got buried under hill before the excavation started. If you are a history buff, then this site is a must visit in your Lima it itinerary. Guided tours are available in both Spanish and English.

Would've been a better experience but really sad how the animals are kept in such terrible conditions. You'd think Limeños would have more respect for the animals that represent their country but unsurprisingly they treat them just as bad as the people living outside of their dumpster of a city. Atleast they got lucky with it's good location so tourists aren't exposed to the complete disarray that is northern lima.
