House of illusions

The House of Illustrations features exhibitions and portraits that provoke thought and creativity. While it’s an enjoyable experience, it is better suited for teenagers and families. Adults may find many of the exhibits less engaging or impactful.

We had a great time here with a large room full of challenging puzzles (we discovered some interesting puzzles or games) and a good number of exhibited illusions with clear explanation in English. I gave a star less as I feel Euros 50 for a family ticket is quite pricey from what is on offer (we have similar centre but with many more scientific things here in Malta at a much cheaper price).

The place was well laid out with explanations. They were fun to experience, and staff were attentive to be as I was alone.

This museum seems to be targeted at groups of children rather than adults. Not a lot to see given the cost of admission.

Wonderful and interactive experience. Both for adults and children. We had a little wait before we could get in, but it was worth it. Otherwise, the place would be too crowded. Smart move. The exhibition exists of 3 floors filled with illusions. Each one is accompanied by a good explanation in 4 languages. Including Slovenian, English, Italian, and German. It's fun both for kids and adults. But especially when travelling with kids, you can easily spend an hour or 2 here. Would recommend this place when you are visiting the city!

Kids liked it but were not so enhusaiastic as usually when they love something. The hose is not designed for every age as there are many spots not adjusted to the understanding of younger generation. In the end of the day I have a feeling all was fine but nothing special, spending about 50 EUR per family may be a weak value for money.

FUN! Perfect for just about any age! Even my cranky teens! Staff is very helpful and the gift shop is not expensive. Highly suggest for an hour or more enjoyment!

Fun end of the day. It was our first time in Ljubljana and the house of illusions was near by our hotel so… we thought why not :) Make sure to visit if passing by. Oh and, the “vortex” is a big stomach challenger :) Enjoy!
