Hotel Seehof

The hotel was in a superb location, central yet quiet. Isabella welcomed us and told us everything we needed to know, she was kind and helpful. Sabrina was lovely as well. As for the room, it was on the smaller size, quite cozy, but nicely designed. Since the hotel doesn’t have AC, we had two fans to help us during hot nights. I just wish there were hotel slippers in the room. Breakfast was nice, but what I loved most is coffee :)

The hotel was recommended by my Swiss Bank but I have never experienced such a diss functional process of booking. I received confirmation followed by an email where I could pay. A day before payment due I tried to pay on email and when I pressed the button told me out of time! As I was arriving a few days later was concerned they had not honoured my booking so endeavoured to contact the Seehof it took 6 emails before I got a response hours before leaving for my long distance flight to Zurich you might expect this lack of efficiency in a 3rd world country but Switzerland!! BTW brought to the attention of the GM who never explained or got back to me|All in all the hotel is well situated with a reasonable breakfast even though the bakery products need improvement . One negative no English language stations on TV and the staff were not aware which surprised me.|If you want to ring reception you have no idea what number to ring

Hello, I my family were in Zurich from November 17 to 19 at the Opera Hotel, and yesterday, November 19, before going down to breakfast we checked our money and we have it all, we went down to have breakfast between 9:30 am and 10:13 am then we went up and picked our belongings and checked out, at the train on the way to París we realized that €7000 euros in total had been stolen from 2 wallets, and the hotel did not want to help us with the situation.

Rooms are nice, service is polite. no room has AC and in these new hot summers it can be tough. They put 2 high quality ventilators in each room and it was ok. Bathroom was modern and nice and the room was very clean. The hotel is very central and close to everything. I haven't tried the breakfast. they accepted my small chihuahua at no extra cost.

Booked for just one night . Good welcoming staff. . Room tidy and clean. Breakfast correct with all necessary. Reception in same place as bar/pub. Overall a good staying and may come back as vey well located . Good cafes and restaurants nearby. Also very central to transports . Good staying .

The hotel is rather cozy, but very convenient considering the location and needs. Room was just enough, very clean, with no bar if you expect one. Reception is shared with hotel next door which makes you sure someone will always be there to assist. Location is magnificent, window view was nothing extra, but you dont need to admire that during business trip. Breakfast offered all you need for your comfort, also with respect to allergies.

Usually we love this hotel, we have been here several, but this time we are not so happy because: - we reserved a parking (more then one month prior to our arrival) but it was not available on arrival and we had to leave our car in a public place. - we reserved with some friends two rooms (we speak telefonically with the reception to provide the information, that we would like to stay close each other’s, but that was not recorded) and one was upgraded in Opera hote. - the feeling of entering by Opera and then going on the backwards is a kind of degrading (like you are second choice customer) which is not the case because Seehof rooms are much more better compared with the Opera ones. - breakfast served in the lobby of Opera hotel, is not appropriate for hygiene reasons and as well it is a bit of caos. Before the rebuilding it was more intimate and of a better quality and hygiene. - We we’re wearing mask and people looked at us like aliens (customers as well as employees). - check in at the Bar is not really professional and it is not adeguate, English knowledge less then basic and empathy zero! - shower gel was empty as well as the Kleenex in the room - repeaters customers not recognized and not rewarded. We were much more happy by our last stay (before COVID-19) when the two hotels were separated. The rooms are still very nice, clean and comfortable and the strategic position of the hotel is really important to enjoy Zürich. We will return, hope this time with a better feeling. Absolutely important to reward somehow the repeaters customer (our friends come for the first time and got the free upgrade lake view and we were repeaters and no upgrade, and no “welcome back” it is a kind of weird)!

Room was very small (15m2?) compared to the pictures on the website with view on the parking in the back. We wanted one large (queen size) bed and had only 2 single beds. Early morning, there was a lot of noise on the parking with people talking, smoking, moving things. Overall, not at all worth the 270chf we paid per night.
