"Located just behind the Zurich Opera House, and oozing a warm, friendly ambience, it has a modern, minimal interior with 20 guestrooms (including a junior suite) that are crisp and clean, with white walls and contemporary furnishings. All the rooms come with amenities like complimentary Wi-Fi access, plus a writing desk, safe, well-stocked minibar, and complimentary slippers and bathrobe."

Disgusting hot in the summer, comically small and cramped rooms have no air conditioning. Place smells like cigarettes. The shower is a 0.5m plastic tube. No breakfast. For almost $400/night this "hotel" is a total racket. It is right next to the lake and the Opera House but you can definitely find better options.

BE CAREFUL!!!!!! They have NO AC!!!!! Do not book at this location during summer. Location is great. The train station is close, there’s a lake next to it, downtown is very close. BUT our room was HOT during our stay because there’s no AC. We paid $400 and have to be this miserable…? Hmmm no thank you. Also, they are very stingy with cancellations. They have cancellation policy on their website and still tried to argue with us when we tried to cancel our room because it was too hot to stay.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Two of our three rooms were upgraded which was wonderful! We only stayed one night which is our regret. Alex and Anna were fantastic and made our stay so easy. I would recommend this hotel and should I get back to Zurich I will stay here!

NEVER AGAIN Our check-in was unimpressive. No welcome and zero explanations. Got our key and entered the tiniest room, a furnace to find out the room has NO A/C. We were rejected a refund. We fell asleep with windows open and x2 fans blasting fell asleep from exhaustion then to wake up to a building next door of office people looking straight into our room.

We went in early September and it was very hot in Zurich. The room was SO HOT! Like 30 C+ inside. Despite opening the windows, it was hard to cool the room down even during the night because of the surrounding buildings that eliminated any possibility of a breeze.||I'm giving it 3 stars because the room did come with 2 powerful fans that definitely helped with air flow.||Privacy: There's a big office building right across (like, very close), so opening the windows meant zero privacy.||If you're coming during colder months, I'd recommend this hotel. Not in the summer though...especially for the price.||The positives: The hotel connects to the Opera Hotel lobby, so that was nice. Housekeeping was good and prompt. Bathroom was small, but very clean and modern. The decor in the room was nice and there was plenty of counter space.

The hotel was in a superb location, central yet quiet. Isabella welcomed us and told us everything we needed to know, she was kind and helpful. Sabrina was lovely as well. As for the room, it was on the smaller size, quite cozy, but nicely designed. Since the hotel doesn’t have AC, we had two fans to help us during hot nights. I just wish there were hotel slippers in the room. Breakfast was nice, but what I loved most is coffee :)

Located at reasonably accessible area of the city. That would be the only best part of the story. How would one wish to pursue Hotel Management degree in Switzerland is beyond me, at least based on my experience with this hotel. The staff attitude is just totally unacceptable. Just a few examples: 1.I went down for breakfast. Duly waited to be seated. One of the staff said, “ just go and enjoy “. Walked in and selected some items and found my seat. After about 10 minutes came a bald headed guy and with his strong voice demanded to know my room number while I am eating. Only in Switzerland! 2. None of the daily to be used items in the room is replenished, examples, tea bags, tissues, soap etc! Only in Switzerland! 3. This hotel has a small cafe which also functions as a lobby area and reception. No issue with this, in fact I find this to be unique. On the day I arrived they said it will close at 10pm. The next day at 8pm, the staff said it is closed when I tried to order coffee and the best part- she pointed across the road and said you can have your coffee there ! WHAT ???? Only in Switzerland! 4. The breakfast was supposed to close at 10am which I think is already too early enough. I was shocked when I witnessed a family was turned away exactly at 9.45am and guess what? I saw the staff again pointing a hand across the road though I wasn’t sure what is it all about but you can guess it, right! Only in Switzerland! However I am really amazed with Mr Thomas Trojer who went out of his ways to explain and settle things for me. Thank you Sir, I salute you!

This hotel is a wing of the more expensive Opera Hotel but features newly decorated stylish rooms and all the amenities of the Opera Hotel. Inventive nautical decor. Very comfortable beds and bathrooms. Good breakfast and helpful service. The location near the lake and Opera is ideal.
