Hotel Schwarzer Adler Innsbruck

I stayed here for a 4 night in early June. This hotel is in a fantastic location. Easily reached by bus from the train station, or a 10-15 minute walk. And so close to the centre of Innsbruck for access to everything you would want to see. The hotel had lots of character and the breakfast area was lovely. My room was at the back of the hotel, overlooking the mountains, and has balcony access. It was comfortable, clean & had everything I needed. Retunring to Innsbruck is in my future plans and I would happily at this hotel again.

I nearly did not book this hotel after reading trip advisor. We had a recently renovated room with a lovely Mountain View. The shower water was hot and room serviced daily. They have a fresh water spring in lobby to fill water bottles. Very good breakfast buffet and table with filled roll “to go” should you need a snack while touring. Excellent position for station, Altstadt and restaurants. Would stay again in same rooms.

The service is great! Every staff member is super friendly and willing to help with every request. The double rooms are okay in terms of size, but really comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and modern. The location is great, near the old town and close to the train station with parking available in the garage. The airport is only -5 minutes away with the car. The hotel bar is a great recommendation and a must-visit when you are in Innsbruck! And the breakfast is great too! Although the hotel and the breakfast is a bit pricey, it’s one of the best options in Innsbruck!

Nice traditional hotel in the city centre, only a few minutes’ leisurely walk away from the main attractions. Nice staff. Updated rooms that really benefitted from the upgrade they had undergone. Parking is available nearby. Recommended.

I came in from America, wanting a hotel that would offer me a great view as well as close to some fabulous sights and this did not disappoint. I had a lovely stay, they were so helpful with accommodations, the heated bathroom floor was a very pleasant surprise. Close to old town and the gondola to the top of the mountain. Would definitely come back. Also if you have time to get a massage, do it. It was amazing. The spa downstairs was quite enjoyable.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Schwarzer Adler in December 2024. You can't beat the location, easy to walk anywhere in the city! The staff is great and the rooms were bigger than I expected. Very nice and clean.

The staff is excellent. They were in an excellent mood and extremely willing to help and light hearted. In addition, the rooms were refurbished and provided cleanliness and comfortable sleeping conditions.

My wife was unfortunately having to go to Innsbruck hospital following a skiing injury. As the saga of the claim went on this became my and daughter’s home for a couple of weeks. ||The hotel was welcoming, the staff very helpful and the breakfast something to look forward to.||The hotel is a charmingly restored villa retaining some original features but has the requisite mod cons.||An enjoyable if unusual stay.
