Hotel Saravana Bhavan

After 4 years, we finally revisited Saravana Bhavan, and it felt like a warm, nostalgic hug! This iconic South Indian restaurant continues to deliver an unparalleled experience with its authentic flavors and impeccable quality. We indulged in a variety of dishes, starting with the classic masala dosa and onion masala dosa. Both were crisp, perfectly spiced, and paired wonderfully with the fresh coconut chutney and tangy sambar. The banana chips were an excellent addition, crunchy and seasoned just right, making for a delightful snack. The beverages were the highlight of our visit. The filter coffee was as rich and aromatic as we remembered, instantly transporting us to a South Indian household. The lemon soda was refreshing, offering the perfect balance of tanginess and fizz. What hasn’t changed is the restaurant’s consistent quality, swift service, and clean ambiance, even during busy hours. Saravana Bhavan is more than just a meal; it’s an experience that feels like coming home to timeless flavors. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic South Indian food. It was worth the wait, and we can’t wait to visit again!

We visited here after a long time.... We love their taste of dosa and filter coffee. This is highly recommended restaurant for south Indian delicacies .

No updates whatsoever. We went there today after 10 years and nothing has been changed. Thankfully food taste is still the same so I was glad but heard a nearby customer talking that there’s no decor or no updates in the restaurant which I found correct. Heard that Janpath location is much better with good ambiance. But anyways I was looking for good food which all turned out great. My family was happy, staff was attentive (you will have to call them few times but they listen thankfully!)

The food is good, but the service u will get will be satisfactory. Because they have discontinued the UPI transaction and put the scanner for attracting customers as the hotel can accept the online transaction. But with me I didn't have the cash and the UPI kept on declining the receiving of payment. That day was the worst day I had in that hotel. You eat there and u aren't able to pay due to their UPI failure, instead I had to arrange the cash from somewhere. Therefore I recommend taking cash with yourself, or else try to cook the simple masala dosa with ghee, there's nothing new in it, it's just there's manifestation and nothing else. Rest take care

I recommended authentic thali and dosa. I love their food. I visit not frequently but 2 years after the test the same quality they have maintained I recommend all types of food

One of the most authentic south indian breakfasts I had in the capital city. As we went to have breakfast here on weekends, the place was heavily crowded and there was a long queue. Waiting time is usually 45min to 1 hour. To avoid waiting you can either go here early as after 9:00 AM. We ordered set dosa, idly sambhar, medu Vada, Ghee roast dosa, paper plain dosa, Rava dosa, mini idly & filter coffee. The food was served hot and the Vada was crispy and idlis were soft. The chutney and sambhar served along was also good but I liked their green (mint) chutney more than the red (tomato) chutney & Coconut chutney. You can definitely try this place is worth every penny spent they also have large options in jain food which I found was a great option.

The experience was very good. I would recommend that you go and get your name listed before time because there is a min of 30 minutes waiting in general. Food was authentic, and the prices were also very reasonable. I tried this "podi idali" which was a unique dish. One must try it once.

Definately not worth the hype .and wait...neither service nor the quality of food is good ..most of the items on the menu card is not available. Gun powder served with south meals was less than half a spoon. When asked , they said it can't be provided.
