Hotel Santa Caterina Siena

This is a great place to stay when in Siena. The staff is professional, knowledgable, and extremely helpful in booking dinner reservations, tours, etc. A highly professional staff. It was refreshing how helpful the hotel staff was. They had great recommendations. The hotel grounds are very nice. Nice breakfast as well. When we come back to Siena, we will be staying here again.

🫢No parking, need to search paid parking by yourself (some car parked illegally along the road in low season should be fine?), there is charge station for electric car 3 mins away from hotel next to the gate. 😆Breakfast was fair, standard 3 stars option all in small tables, just nice environment makes you feel enjoyed. 😆2 Men receptionist are very welcoming while the 😖😡 lady manager is so rude @@ she kept angry face and yelled at me asking my room number (thats fine) and the other days when I get down for breakfast, i said Hi but she didnt greet me back, even i checkout out to pay the city tax she didnt even say thank you or goodbye… its seems like im the customer but im the one to please her… how ridiculous with this experience, she was so poor.

We stayed at this hotel with our two teenagers and we all really enjoyed it. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was welcoming, professional and helpful. Just outside the city wall, the location was perfect. Quiet environment with an amazing view of the countryside, but walking a few minutes brought you to several great restaurants on your way to see the Campo.

As a first time visitor to Italy, this hotel and the staff has been beyond wonderful and welcoming. The breakfast is amazing and the room was incredibly comfortable. I highly recommended this hotel.

LOVED OUR STAY - Highly recommend for vintage Italy charm and 5-star hospitality! The reception and breakfast staff couldn't have been nicer and they cheerfully provided assistance on some special requests that came up for us. Great air conditioning and cleanliness. Having the delicious breakfast and espresso each morning in the beautiful garden with a gorgeous view was a highlight of our trip. Felt like we were in a movie.

Traditional hotel with an amazing view from the garden. Sadly weather wasn’t quite right for enjoying the view and without that you are based 15 walk from town (which if you go back and forth in the day needs to be taken into account). Our room was a decent size but did face the road, and I’d agree with an earlier review that updating the bed cover would brighten things. The hairdryer is one of the old fashioned ones on the wall, so might be best to bring your own. Breakfast was good though given it is a cold buffet it would be simpler to be able to self-serve. The staff were friendly and helpful but if we returned I would probably get somewhere in the centre of Siena.

We had such a wonderful stay and would be happy to return again. The service at Hotel Santa Caterina was incredible. The staff were all so helpful and accommodating. They recommended excellent locations to visit and restaurants to try. The location itself is walking distance to the town and the view from the hotel is absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast included was also wonderful, with very fresh ingredients and a variety of things included.

We stayed in this lovely and cozy hotel for two weeks. Well, there's so much to comment yet so little to put into words. The hotel staff and manager are friendly in a really genuine way. The location of this hotel is excellent for going to the old city area.

Lovely, quaint hotel minutes from the gate to the old city. Friendly accommodating staff. We are so impressed with the breakfast, the outdoor sitting area, tasteful Italian lobby and clean rooms. The rooms are small, so if you are looking for big brand size this isn't for you. There is a lift and we were on the 1st floor. Best decision to split up our city visits and stay here. Great cappuccinos too! Bonus!

My apologies. Santa Caterina in Siena provides free secure parking. The comment about parking in my previous review was meant for a different hotel in a different city where we stayed the next night. (I should not have written 2 reviews at the same time.)
