Hotel Plaza Osaka

Stayed here for 4 nights as it offered good value. The location is good, a 5-10min walk from Juso station or 30mins walk across a long bridge to Umeda. There are plenty of shops & restaurants in the local area and we enjoyed good food nearby several times. The 'compact' room is certainly small, particularly the bathroom, but it was manageable. The window opens to allow fresh air and there is an aircon unit for heating and cooling (even if the card explaining how it works is for a different version!). The beds were reasonably comfortable but nothing special. There was a good sized fridge in the room for keeping supplies. Everything was cleaned well each day. The shower was good although the water system in the bathroom was really noisy especially after flushing the toilet. The room was generally quiet but there was some sustained noise from other guests in the corridor in the evening and morning as the hotel had regular tour groups through the week and didn't seem to keep an area clear for other guests. We eat elsewhere so didn't try the breakfast or restaurant. We would consider the hotel again but probably with a standard sized room.

Everything in the hotel is awesome except for the location, a bit out of the way. Need to walk quite a bit to reach food street and no shopping mall nearby, only few convenient stores in short walking distance. Hotel beds are comfortable, room is neat and well cleaned up. S

I have been to this hotel in 2 occasions, at the beginning and at the end of my trip to Japan.|It has what you expect. |Perhaps a little too long check-in procedure, as you must go to the third floor, and all in all takes 15-20 minutes. It might be nice in some circumstances, but if you are travelling already 18 hours, perhaps you are just looking forward to a shower...||The rooms I had were decent size, with compfortable bed, TV with only Japanese programs (no smart TV), table and couch. The batroom is very small. Can only be accessed by one person at the time. It is all in plastic and 20 cm above the room floor. Not really extra comfy.||The breakfast is fantastic, with a great variety of options both European/North American and Asiatic, freshly made and served.||The location is not the best however. To Umeda trainstation is a 25 minutes walk, but there is another small station nearby (5 minutes wlk) and from there to Umeda is 5 minutes max. Also, there are a lot of restaurants and bar not far from the hotel.

We stayed there for 4 days , the place is clean and tidy ,staff are welcoming and friendly. The hotel is really close to the shops, temples and train station within walking destination. 7 eleven is also walking destination I needed medical assistance and I’ve contacted the reception, the manager have gone above and beyond and called couple of local hospitals to see the wait time and the cost, he booked us a taxi and made sure we get the help needed in no time.

Great room run by friendly helpful staff. I liked the breakfast room where one could talk to many cultures as a number of tour groups were staying. It's in a hotel district a little far from town. We had access to train and good restaurants nearby. Had a great walk along the seawall I the morning.

FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING THIS HOTEL, please don’t ! I cannot express enough how filthy our room was. We entered our room just to find old chips lying on the floor, hair under the sheets and disgusting spills on the carpet. Cant expect much from 3 star but basic cleanliness is the least to be expected from any hotel.

I recently stayed at the Plaza Hotel in Osaka and had a generally pleasant experience. The hotel is very nice and exceptionally clean, which made the stay comfortable in terms of hygiene and ambiance. The staff was friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of the hotel. However, one downside to note is the beds in the rooms. They were very hard, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. If you prefer a softer or more comfortable bed, this might be something to consider before booking. Overall, the Plaza Hotel in Osaka is a good choice if cleanliness and friendly service are your priorities, but be aware of the firm beds if you’re sensitive to sleeping conditions.

I stayed at Hotel Plaza Osaka recently, and let me tell you, the bed was less "sleeping experience" and more "torture device." It wasn’t so much a mattress as it was a hardwood plank masquerading as one. I honestly think the hotel was secretly trying to train me for a survival show—because if you can sleep on that bed, you can sleep anywhere. Each night was like an episode of "Will I Wake Up with a New Set of Back Problems?" Spoiler alert: I did. My spine is currently on strike and I’ve got a new appreciation for clouds after that "sleep" experience. If you're into medieval-style sleeping arrangements or want to experience what it’s like to sleep on a trampoline made of concrete, then this is your place. The rest of the hotel was fine—clean, decent service, and nice staff—but those beds? They should come with a warning: "Sleeping on this may result in a lifelong quest for a chiropractor." So, unless you’re looking to rediscover the joy of sleeping on the floor, maybe give this place a pass.
