Hôtel National Des Arts et Métiers

Overall, our stay was a blend of highs and lows. The hotel’s location was excellent, giving us easy access to everything we wanted to see and do, and the room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. We appreciated the comfort of the bed and the stylish decor, which added a nice touch to our experience. However, the customer service was a significant disappointment. While one staff members was professional and polite, others displayed a dismissive attitude that made us feel unwelcome. At times, it felt like our presence was more of a nuisance than anything else. Requests were occasionally met with a lack of enthusiasm, and on a couple of occasions, we encountered outright rudeness. For a hotel of this standard, we expected a more consistent level of hospitality. Customer service is an essential part of any guest experience, and unfortunately, this aspect of our stay left us with mixed feelings. While we enjoyed the room and location, we left feeling that the hotel’s service needs improvement to match its otherwise excellent offerings.

Lovely spacious hotel, great Italian restaurant, nice vibe. Well appointed rooms, some with a bath. Good location for travelling around the city. Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. Will be retuning soon on next business trip to Paris.

The hotels doesn’t care about its guests at all. My bathroom door was jammed in the mid of night so I had no access to bathroom, called front desk offered me to use bathroom downstairs then offered I can go use bathroom to another empty room: the staff came up can’t fixed it till next morning. Imagine how horrible that night of sleep. And the door has lots scrape marks it is obviously lots people have struggled with it When checking out, front desk said “it happens”. No apologies no sorry. It is so bizarre how little compassion and courtesy they shows to their guests and can get away with it.

The hotel doesn’t care about their guests at all nor shows hospitality. The bathroom door was jammed in the middle of night at 5am so their staff came in try to fix it and can’t. I have no access to bath room at mid of night and have to go though the hall way to use bathroom in another room till next day. They didn’t even apologize when I checked out the answer was : it happens nothing we can do. No empathy or curtesy for their guests. Just purely bizarre

We had a wonderful stay at this Hotel. Lovely friendly staff especially the waiting and bar staff. Lovely room with a teeney balcony and had everything we needed. We loved the area and walked for miles everyday exploring. We used to enjoy returning to the hotel at night and sitting outside having snacks watching the world go by. We dined in the restaurant twice and the food was devine! Thanks for having us, we look forward to coming back!

I read great reviews about the hotel and location which in a way it is but also it is not. It’s near the M4 and M11 which is great BUT THERE IS CONSTANT SIRENS GOING OFF from passing ambulance and police!!!! SO ANNOYING!!! And right now, someone is doing some hammering of something - it’s past midnight and I can’t sleep because of sirens and hammering. Staff is nice, rooms are small but I’m fine with that. Overpriced but it’s Paris. Anyway if you are going to party at night then it’s ok to stay here but if you want to sleep then don’t!!!

On Saturday at 18:30 I was having cocktails in the courtyard with my friend when I urgently needed a tampon. I immediately went to the front desk of the hotel to ask if the hotel had a supply. I was greeted by Eduardo who said yes they did and then asked if I was staying at the hotel. I replied no but that it was urgent and I just needed one. He told me no and said I would have to go find a pharmacy. I pleaded with him for just one given the urgency and he then changed his response from before and said that the hotel does not have any tampons. It is clear to me that Eduardo does not have any daughters or sisters. He should be ashamed of himself and the hotel should not have men like this working the front desk.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel National Des Arts et Metiers. The service that we received from the team was some of the best that I've experienced, they really look after our group. The rooms were stunning, the breakfast was fantastic and the location was perfect!

BED BUGS - I was completely unaware this hotel is infested with bed bugs, I can't speak to anyone for a refund, they continue hanging up the phone.

Amazing location right in the center with very helpful staff and great service. The rooftop breakfast in the morning with amazing views.

Pros: -Fantastic location/neighborhood, about 14 minutes from the center of Marais by food, felt like a local here -gorgeous design, especially common spaces -beautiful views if you're on the church side Cons: -part time concierge which is something first time guests rely on, require and pay for. We were told the front desk staff could handle everything until we arrived at a restaurant thinking we had a reservation but in fact it was made in error for three months later!! -lobby is basically a club at night -even earlier on the lobby bar gets incredibly crowded and there's no special location or consideration for hotel guests, if you can find a seat great, if not...oh well -rooms are teeny tiny and when I asked to see a larger room I was met with an employee insinuating I was seeking an upgrade which I was told is NOT what they do under any circumstances. I was a little taken aback by this !!!!! Not only is it not nice, it's not professional!! -a couple of insignificant things mysteriously disappeared from the room; reading glasses, earrings and a ring.....my bad on the latter for not using the safety deposit box. costume jewelry but nonetheless MINE! Despite the fact that two of the employees behind the desk really go the extra mile, overall the vibe at this hotel could be friendlier and the service could be better. You get the impression the staff is overworked and probably under appreciated.

Paris, France is a beautiful place however, if you're American... good luck. I came to Paris for 3 days and decided to stay at this hotel. Although it's quite beautiful inside and out, the service is awful. You almost have to apologize for asking questions, asking for service. Housekeeping doesn't do a great job at cleaning your room either. Trash is left behind, and sometimes they won't replace your towels, even when you follow their guidelines. The food at the restaurant at most, was ok. The only positive thing about this hotel, is that it's in the middle of such a cute town. It's best to walk around and see things as the town has a lot of choices for food and entertainment. We tried making a reservation at their restaurant and were told it was all booked- because of my suspicion, I had my friend who speaks French make it for me, and guess what? There was plenty of open seats. If that doesn't tell you everything, then idk what else to say. EXTREMELY disappointed in this hotel. The prices for the rooms are expensive- which you expect amazing service to come with it. It's unfortunate that they don't deliver. My best recommendation is to find another hotel, where they are happy to help you, and don't get annoyed of your questions.

Stayed here with my family for a week and it has been an incredible stay. We got interconnecting rooms, which were convenient. The decor is super cool, but very comfortable. The beds were like sleeping on clouds. We kept the large windows in the room open most of the time, it was so nice! We had one room that overlooked the middle of the hotel and one room that overlooked the street, on the 5th floor. Both were very quiet even with the restaurant and rooftop bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a well equipped gym, which can be hard to come by in Europe. The rooftop bar is beautiful, especially during sunset! The restaurant has phenomenal food and the Herbarium is a lot of fun - they have live DJs Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Can't wait to come back! As for the restaurant, we started at the rooftop bar while we waited for our dinner reservation. Beautiful views, especially at sunset. There is minimal seating and the drinks are expensive (20+ €) but a good space for pictures and socializing. We had a reservation for dinner at 10pm but when we arrived, we were told we would have to wait until 10:30pm, despite there being many tables open. We ordered a bottle of wine and waited in the Herbariam. It is also a very cool space but do not expect much service. Our rose was served warm but we were told we could keep the bottle in the ice and wait for to it to cool. We kept asking about our table and were willing to eat in the Herbariam, as it was already so late in the evening. Our table was finally ready at 10:40pm, 40 minutes later than our reservation. We ordered the mozzarella to share, which was delicious but definitely very big! It was plenty for 5 people. The pastas were also very good. The only complaint is the service. Our waiter, Abram, was incredible - very friendly, helpful, accommodating. The rest of the staff, however, was very slow and rude. Would definitely come back for the food.
