Hotel Indigo Lower East Side New York, an IHG Hotel

I've stayed at the Hotel Indigo Lower East Side before with my daughter and granddaughter from CA. We recently returned the week of December 21, 2024 for a three night stay. This hotel has the best staff ever, starting with the manager, Milta. She was extremely professional and personable to everyone! The staff at the front desk were very polite and helpful. I'd like to give a shout out to Jonerd, Celia, Andy and Pia for all their help, as well. We had a room with a view on the 10th floor with a large window to gaze at the picturesque Manhattan skyline. The room was large for NYC standards. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Hotel Indigo Lower East Side is in a great location with an easy walk to restaurants like Katz Deli, Russ and Daughters and others. We had breakfast two of the mornings at the hotel lobby floor coffee shop. We enjoyed an egg wrap, cereal, yogurt and coffee. This hotel is in an historic neighborhood close to the subway or you can take a short cab ride to Soho, West Village, Roosevelt Park or walk to the Tenement Museum. I highly recommend the Hotel Indigo Lower East Side. If you visit this hotel, I promise you'll not be disappointed! Esta R.

I just finished a 5 day, 4 night trip this afternoon and I can say that I would not be staying at this hotel again. First off, I want to start with the positives and say that the staff was incredibly nice and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous and located in a great spot. However, in the hotel description, it was not clear that there was a night club upstairs. I was under the impression that this was a nice restaurant/bar for families. With that being said, the noise was far louder than the average NYC noise. Each night my kids were up 3-4 times complaining of the noise. Also, hotels usually have a small place in the lobby where you can buy drinks/snacks. This hotel had nothing. My husband went to get water and they told him that he could fill water bottles in the weight room area. When it comes to cleanliness, the hotel was good. BUT, I have a 1 year old who needed showers each night and there was noticeable mold in the shower. Bottom line, don't stay if you have kids. You will regret it.

Hotel Indigo Lower East Side exceeded all my expectations. Every staff member was incredibly attentive and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Despite arriving at 7 a.m., we were graciously offered an early check-in, allowing us to rest and recharge before starting our trip. The housekeeping team was equally impressive. When our coffee machine wasn’t working, a housekeeping staff member promptly came to assist us and even brought complimentary water bottles—such thoughtful service! A week after our stay, I realized I had left my Apple Watch behind. When I called the hotel, I was amazed to hear they had kept it safe for me. I am especially grateful to Mei from the housekeeping team, who found my watch and ensured its safe return. Thank you, Hotel Indigo Lower East Side, for providing such exceptional service. Wow, what a great experience! Let me start by saying that we stayed in this hotel for 3 plus weeks with some breaks in between. I loved staying at The Indigo Lower East Side. The staff was amazing. I was in a wheelchair, and they were so respectful and accommodating, while treating me the same as everyone else. The hotel room was easy to navigate too. The staff treat you equally whether you are in a basic room or a presidential suite. I requested a few items I forgot or needed, and they sent them to the room right away like I was their most important guest. The staff (I really need to put names, but I am so bad at remembering them), but really everyone from the doorman, concierge, front desk, cleaning, and AJ the manager was top notch and friendly at all times. There was always a smile and a greeting when you entered the door. The hotel is beautiful and kept clean. There was always an elevator available. The view from the top was a bonus also. Great location. I did not experience any noise issues. I will pick this hotel again and again while visiting NYC. It felt like a home away from home in a such a big city. Thanks again for making our visit in NYC!

The hotel concept is very nice and the location is excellent. The style is a bit industrial, but relatively refined and well done, but you have to pay attention to a couple of details.|First of all, the cleaning of the rooms is rather rough. The windows have double glazing, but the glass is nailed and does not open and apparently it has not been insulated well and in the cavity you can see dirt and dead insects. The shower window was a bit disgusting.|And you have to be aware that in the bar at the rooftop they have parties continuously with very loud music. I felt like I was taking part in the party even from my room on the seventh floor and the music goes on all night.|Terrible breakfast, but opposite there is a small bar where they serve excellent coffee and good pastries at a much lower price.

We really enjoyed our stay here as IHG members. We used our points to stay and got the room for a small charge and we're given a lot of great credit opportunities. The location of the hotel was great! It's about a 15 minute walk from Little Italy and 5 minutes further to Chinatown. Graat restaurants in the area., if you're willing to wait in libe for Katz's. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you to the staff! They were friendly and provided a quick check-in.

i hadn't stayed at the indigo LES in a few years and you can see the wear and tear. it really needs a clean up- it feels very used. the positives... the room was a fantastic size and the bathroom and products are great. the negatives... our mini fridge was disgusting. the bed was comfortable but there weren't enough blankets. and that club is annoyingly loud. we were on the 20th floor and you could hear and feel the music. i don't really understand why they don't better insulate for sound. the location is stellar and with all my negatives, i would still come back and stay at the property. the hotel is walking distance to so much. one other thing to note, the front desk staff could use to be slightly warmer. when walking in, there wasn't one hello, good morning or welcome back. did i mentions it's a great location?

If you are a deep sleeper and can sleep through thumping club music, loud hallway noise, ice machines, street noise, upstairs guests walking, etc, then you will do fine here. Everyone else - stay away. We were asked when we checked in if we wanted a quiet room, and were warned that the club on the 15th floor runs until 4am. We said yes to the quiet room- they booked us room 904, 6 floors down. We could hear loud music and people yelling until 3:30am - impossible to sleep, even with earplugs in. So we moved to the 5th floor, a smaller room, the next night. That took care of the club noise but then it was everything else - loud crowds outside, sirens, cars, every hallway conversation and door opening/shutting, people using the ice machine that was next to our room, etc. This place has a total lack of soundproofing. Our sheets also had holes in them. And there was a soap dispenser missing in the bathroom (which was not super clean); it took them something like 6 hours to come in and replace it. Also, the windows are drafty (goes with the sound issues). That didn’t bother us so much, but it could be an issue for people who like better temp control. The staff is super nice. The location is great. But the lack of noise insulation is an absolute deal breaker. Never again.
